Broken fridge for almost 2 months. Geeksquad issues..

Hello all. I was hoping I could get a responce from a forum admind on what I can do to properly get my fridge fixed asap.Here is the total process of my experiance from day 1.
June 19th 2014 I make a call to get the ice machine repaired, it wasnt making ice. 
The service tech came out and determined it needed a new mainboard. He ordered it and scheduled for install on the 17th.
July 17th the tech came out and the wrong main board was sent to my house. Ordered the correct part and rescheduled for another install.
Now for some reason i never got the email for the dates on the rest of the work but this is how it has transpired.
He came out and installed the new mainboard. Yay problem fixed. Woke up the next morning and everything was frozen solid. Changed the temperature thinking it was set too cold. A day passed and called again the next morning. 
Tech comes out around the 1st of august and orderes yet another mainboard thinking that its faulty. Schedules for Today the 12th.
Comes out today and the mainboard they ordered was the WRONG part yet again! Orderes replacement part and schedules for next Thursday repair.
So since the last week or so in June I havnt had an operating fridge. Everything freezes solid. Going to the store daily to pick up food for dinner. If we have any leftovers they are frozen solid the next morning. We cant have any produce or dairy products for obvious reasons which is a huge hinderance. 
So here I am waiting for the repair man to come out next week and hopefully have the right part come in since its been the wrong part twice now. Also hoping that this fixes the issue since it will also be the second mainboard installed which the 1st one only made the problem worse. I'm not sure exactly what to do so I'm reaching out to the forums for advice. I don't understand how the part cant be overnighted and have a tech out tomorrow for repair. I could understand if it was a washer or a dryer but something that makes it to where you cant store food in your house is quite a large issue.
Please Help.

It certainly sounds like you are dealing with an extremely frustrating situation with your fridge and I can understand why you would be disappointed and upset.
I am truly sorry that so far we have received the wrong parts to make the repairs to your appliance.  That definitely should not be happening and will be addressed with our parts provider.  I’ve looked over your work order and it appears the part is on its way.  From what I understand, the part is coming directly to you so that you can contact the technician once you have it.  Hopefully from there they can schedule to be out as soon as possible to correct the issue.
Regrettably, a request to have the fridge replaced was denied and we would have to wait to see if this part corrects the issue.  Under the terms of your service plan, there would have to be three qualified repairs that are not redo’s with a fourth diagnosed qualified repair for the unit to be considered for replacement.  You can find the Terms and Conditions of the Geek Squad Protection plan here.  Simply click on the drop down menu to select the July 14, 2012 to September 29, 2010 choice.

    Does anyone else find it odd VZW starts every conversation with the standard "this call may be recorded" line, but if you imply you are recording them, they freak out and go silent.  It's amazing they never want to stand by what they say.  I was overcharged and basically screwed for four months, they then issues me a credit and then CHARGED me for that credit the following month.  I explained it in their second grade terms so they could understand and still NO ONE gets it.

    Hello mlazaretti. Vacation time is awesome. (Especially a road trip!) Since you will be going out for two weeks, you never know if having extra data may come in handy. I highly recommend switching to the next tier up so this way you have more data. This way it is only $10.00 more versus $15.00, and you dont have to worry about overages. Then change back at the start of the next billing cycle.

    Has anyone had this issue? There is a strange fine white powder covering anything plastic in my apartment. It's coming from my iMac. It's a year and a half old (out of warranty). After 6 months of trying to figure this out, I found out yesterday when my local Apple Sore offered to fix it for $700. I want to know how toxic this powder is, since I've been breathing it for 6 months. A carcinogen I'll bet.

    Suggest that you do a Google search for the "guts" of your model/generation iMac.  See what the "guts" are made of and post back your findings. 
    We are just ordinary users like yourself that help out here.  I for one, would be very interested to know if your iMac has a "monkey on it's back."

  • Anyone else getting a message that they have almost used all of their data for the month?

    We just got a message saying that we have used 90% of our data for the month and we are only 10 days into the billing cycle. I looked at our account on line and it says that we aren't even close to using our total data for the month. When does all of the stupid stuff stop? When I switched to Verizon 10 years ago, they were great. Great customer service, great plans, etc. Now that has gone away. The 4G service is an absolute joke. Where I used to have great service, there literally is none, and the phone won't even switch to 3G if it is in a bad area. I travel through a major city every day and I am amazed at how crappy the service is.
    Now I'm getting messages that aren't even correct??? I have a lot of lines on my account and I don't want to go elsewhere, especially since I live in the country and Verizon is the only way to get decent internet service, but this is getting rediculous. I guess listening to the customers doesn't matter anymore as long as they get their money.

    In the case of Inventory: Monthly Accounting Period closure, you need to ensure that there are no unprocessed shipping transactions, uncosted material transactions, pending WIP costing transactionsm etc.. The number of these kinds of transactions should be Zero. For example, if there are any unprocessed shipping transactions which might be stuck/errored out during Interface Trip Stop program run, then you can NOT close the period for that month until you clear these transactions. Check the metalink note, 262979.1 for the same.
    Navigation is Inventory > Accounting Close Cycle > Inventory Accounting Periods. Click on the Pending button to see the pending transactions. If there are NO requried resolutions to be done, you can close the INV period for that month.

    I would have had the phone looked at long before a month of problems.
    First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.
    If that doesn't help Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. You phone is under warranty and someone at an Apple store can help you.

    If you are on the special double data offer getting 30GB for $130, you can't change data plan without losing your $130 deal.  In this case it may be best to absorb overages
    if you just have 30 GB at regular price, you can go online and go to the next data level and retrospectively apply it to the first day of your plan.

  • My ipod 4th generation has been uncharged for almost 2 months...I plugged it in the charger and now a black screen appears with a yellow horizontal line at the top and 4 yellowish greenish spots at the corners of the screen.Battery trouble?

    So the ipod has been working working fine. I left it for almost 2 months and when i charge it again this is what i see!! It has not been dropped!! The Ipod still works ...when i connect it to itunes it responds normally. Also the ipod produces the charging sound and sounds for notifications!! i tried guessing where "slide to unlock" is so that maybe the touch screen still responds but yet it was useless!! what might be the problem!!

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • BT Infinity issues, Been using for 18 months but t...

    recently I moved out of my property but my sister and her family as moved, They have taken over the BT account, I have had BT infinity since june or july 2012, I was getting speeds of 76mb, I had an enginner vist the property to install the new faceplate and open reach modem, It' still being used today as we speak... I brother in law phoned to take over the account and requested to keep the same..
    But was told Bt Infinity was never avaible in the area, My area is East London, POPLAR Exchange.. But when you do a check on the openreach website, The exchange is accepting orders.. 
    Tonight my brother in law spoke to a BT customer service person who said there as never been infinty in the property even when my brother in law explain the BT home hub is connected to the VDSL modem and that is connected to fibre faceplate..
    He was then told to bt would had to dig up the road for us to get BT infinity, BUT the product is being used now, The BT Hub is not connected via a ADSL connection but they're won't believe it!
    I explain tell the speeds your getting when you do a speed test but yet BT said you cannot have BT infinty in the property even thought its being used now!!! 
    I cannot believe how bad BT have become if they cannot tell if a area as fibre enabled... There saying we were originally lied to when the BT infinty was placed and installed, But I used the product for 15 months and I was getting downloads speeds not possible for ADSL connections... But yet BT have strongly denied there ever been infinty in the area and basically saying we never used infinty...  
    Can anyone help resolve this situation?
