Browser fill image cuts off at bottom when published from Muse to BC...?

The site previews fine in the browser but when I publish it to BC it cuts off the bottom of the image and just shows the browser fill color (which is dark grey). I'm pretty sure this is a BC issue because everything looks fine in Muse. I have done all I can think of to fix this but havn't figured anything out. Here is some information if it helps. Weird thing is only the img. I used for the header is listed in the css, the img. for the browser fill is not listed.

Hello,
You probably did not find this article at the right time but there is one KB article explaining how to insert the Edge content into a Muse website.
Basically what you have to do is, after you publish the Edge project, to take the exported folder, or just the files, (but I'm totally into taking taking the whole folder) and upload them to your FTP where the Muse site is published. After that just use the "Object > Insert HTML..." option from Muse and paste the <iframe> code from the KB and customize the path to the folder where the files are located and the width & height for the iframe.
KB can be accessed here: http://www.adobekb.com/inserting_edge_content.html
An example can be found here.
- Edge project uploaded to FTP.
- Content of the project folder.
- HTML code
I hope this will answer your question.
Cheers,
Cristian

  • Secure Zone Log In Box issues (when published from Muse)

I can't log in to one secure zone when I publish the log in box from Muse. When I put the same log in box on a page in Business Catalyst, I am able to use it to log in. However when I take the log in box code and publish from Muse, it keeps denying access. All other log in boxes for other secure zones on the site are working but they have been in place for a while. Has something changed with a newer version of Muse?
Is there a work around for this (like the way webforms made in BC now have to published in BC and submitted to prevent deletion by publication from Muse)?

Please share the link to the page where the form is placed , along with test user login details, so that we may further look into this. Also a screenshot demonstrating the issue you facing would be of great help.

Yes, but the part cut off the bottom of the first page should appear at the top of the second. No content should be lost, just split between pages.
Safari makes little or no attempt to keep a line of print or a picture from splitting across pages, seemingly just imaging the web page as one large image and printing so many inches or millimeters of the image per page.

This very same issue is affecting me with T520.This happens with vertical A4 and A3, and till now I've not yet found a solution. To be sure to be within printer margins I've set the drawing actual margins on all the four sides to be 1.8 cm from paper sheets borders. But as alway I get the bottom border cut, while the upper border seems shifted downward and it's placed at 3,0 cm from the upper border of the paper. BUTif I set the page to be ORIZONTAL in the application, choose the orizontal page format etc the printout is perfectly aligned.  To me this seems a weird issue.Experienced this issue using Archicad 16, Illustrator and Indisign. • Fill graphic cut off when loaded in Preview in browser

I have been searching all day and watching videos and not coming up with any answers.  For my fill I'm using a graphic of a mountain but when I go to "Preview in Browser" it is cut off.  I have optimized it and tried everything.  I am rather new to Muse so I imagine it's probably something simple.  Anyone have any answers?

    Hi
Can you be a little more specific regarding which fill graphic is being cut-off. I mean is it a page fill , or a rectangular box fill, or a browser fill etc.  And it would be great if you could upload a screenshot.
    Thanks,

I have solved the problem by changing the Project Aspect to 4:3 rather than wide screen.

  • Why are prints from Preview cut off at bottom of page

When I print a PDF from Preview the print has about 3/4" cut off the bottom of a portrait document or from the right of a landscape document.. When I print the same document from Acrobat Reader, it prints correctly. I use Page Setup before printing. The scaling in the other direction seems correct which makes the cut-off a mystery.
I prefer Preview for PDFs as it is much faster than Acrobat Reader. The cut-off prints have caused me grief when I have not detected them. What is going on here?

I have the same problem and can confirm it also happens in Leopard. There was traffic on a similar Leopard issue printing landscape to Windows shared printers that was fixed in 10.5.2, but it doesn't seemed to be solved for my situation (printing to CUPS shared printer). Note that it seems to be a bug in the way Preview creates a PDF for printing, since Adobe Reader works fine, and "lpr <filename>" from the command line will also work.
If you have any more info since you posted, I would be interested.

  • Sizing browser-fill images in Muse

I'm new to Muse, so I have a question that probably has a simple solution. How do you know how to properly size a browser-fill background image? I want the image to be elastic and fill the entire screen, so I sized the image to the exact size of my designed homepage ( 960 x 600 ). But here's my problem, when I select the tiling option to "stretch to fill" the browser, the image naturally gets a bit blurry because the whole screen is larger than the presets for my site. Should I use only vector background images rather than photographs? Or should I size my images much larger than the presets of my website so they fill larger screens and remain crisp? How do I determine what that size is?
    Thanks!

What you want to do is make the browser fill image pretty big. I usually make them atleast 2500x2000. 960x600 is just the content area of your website. The size of your actual website is whatever aspect ratio the user is viewing it on.
An important note: If you use images of that size you have to make sure you optimize them properly for the web or there load times will be really slow.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to create a hot spot for a browser filled image?

I have a background image created in Photoshop in the browser fill, scale to fill.
This is my landing page and would like to create a hot spot or "invisible" rectangle to link to another page in my site when clicked.
I have this done and working, however, my problem is that when my browser size is enlarged or reduced, the spot where I want the hot spot to be changes in size and location.
I want to create a hot spot that will keep its form around my logo no matter the screen size.
I have tried this with a no fill box and white stroke to see how it reacts with each fill property but cannot figure out how to create a box to be in a fixed position that will always match up
with the browser fill image location and size.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi
Have you tried to pin the box on page so that it should be in fixed position ?
Also if want the box to be on some specific position with page scroll, then you can try applying scroll effects which would scroll the box on page but within defined positions.
    Thanks,
    Sanjit

  • Scalable/Responsive Browser Fill Images

I am wondering if it is possible to make a browser fill image responsive or scalable so that I don't end up with a tiled or blown up effect when people have their browsers magnified.  Is this possible with the recent svg update?  Any help or advice?

How do I get the page to shift up by as little as 1/8" so it does not cut off the bottom coding of official documents? There is usually plenty of white space at the top. Center command does not seem to help.

You cannot change pdf files in Reader. You can set it to print with a shrink to fit option.

Is anyone else getting an error message when publishing from Captivate 4 to MS Word 2003?  I tried all 4 types and still get the following:
"An error was encountered while publishing to Word.  Verify the following and try again.  Word is installed on your system.  Word is not busy."
Word is installed on my system and was not in use, so I am not sure why the error.  Any thoughts?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi there
I use Captivate 4 and it publishes to Word 2003 without issues.
Perhaps it has to do with the way your Word 2003 has been installed? Either that or it's a "rights" issue to be addressed by your IT propellerheads?

  • When i publish from muse ecommerce form in BC gets deleted

I made part of the site in muse and part in BC, now when I publish from muse it deletes the e-commerce form making checkout unavailable.
    How can i avoid this?

    Hi there!
Sorry fellas, but I have the same problem. Forms that have been used scores of times are still deleted when I update the site from Muse. This fix does not work.
BC is of very little use to me, if I have to rebuild my forms every time I change a bit of text. I'd rather not go through the hassle of moving to a different provider at this stage. Any other ideas?
    Thanks

  • Background Image Cuts Off - Browser Scroll Isn't Long Enough

Okay, fairly new to Dreamweaver, long-time graphic designer. That said, the answer will probably be easier than trying to explain the problem!
Using the Page Properties, I set the following in the Appearance (CSS) tab:
    Background color to #000
Appearance HTML Background image (contains the image in question, created in Photoshop)
    No-repeat
This Photoshop image is kind of long (960 x 2232) because there is a bunch of text that needs to flow on top. I thought that I reached some sort of maximum in height and so I reduced the height of the image a little and the same problem--cut off at the bottom of the browser. Note that this cut off issue was not a problem until I extended the graphic to this long length. On other pages, it is much shorter and all is well.
I've pasted a snapshot of the bottom of the web browser preview below. You can see that the scroll bar is at the bottom and there is just a small bit of the paper that is not showing. I would like the bottom of the paper to be seen with a little bit of the black background beneath that.
My first instinct is that I'm missing a bottom padding effect, but can't find where to adjust that type of setting.
Another Thought--I would much rather this graphic auto expand as the text flows over it, but did not know how to accomplish that, so I extended the graphic in the Photoshop file. Its not a tile type of image that can be repeated. It is an ancient looking paper, therefore, the top and bottom need to look a certain way, but the mid section could be tiled and repeated. So if this is a better route, please direct me on where to learn how to implement.
    Thanks a bunch!

extra carriage returns were needed in the text frame to extend below the background image.

  • Top of image cut off when printed

I used Aperture to print a borderless 4x6 on borderless paper. In the print preview, the entire image was there (a close-up of Detroit Tiger Verlander with his hat on). Then I printed and the top 10-20% of his hat was cut off.
But then I ordered an online print through Aperture of the same photo just as I set up to print from my printer. The print was sent to me without being clipped at the top.
Anyone know why this clipping happens when I print the picture? I quadruple checked all the settings.

You may want to check on the printer driver and paper size selected
