BSP Applications in CRM

Hi
How do we find the respective BSP application for an iView in CRM, (lets say Activities OIP and ODP application)? And how and where do you view the source of that BSP application? We are in CRM 4.0 SP 8.
Thanks in advance..!
Regards
Sasi

Hi
Technically there is only one BSP application for all People-Centric UI applications - it is called CRM_BSP_FRAME.
This is the Controller part of the Model View Controller setup.
The application specified in the URL (as above) specifies the layout and the model. You can set parameter ID 'CRM_BSP_TRACELEVEL' in the CRM backend for your user to turn on the PC-UI trace. See note 658311. Then you can see which ABAP class is triggered for each UI section (the so-called Model Access Classes).
If you want to adjust the application, you really need to read 'The Book' (full title "Implementing People-Centric User Interfaces with Business Server Pages and SAP Enterprise Portal - The Book for Developers and Technical Consultants"). You can get it in the Service Marketplace.
Cheers

  • Bring view from BSP application into CRM 7.0?

How to add a custom view from a BSP application in CRM 5.0 to CRM 7.0. I tried to use it as a URL ( in transaction launcher ) and gave controller class . It does not work. Am I missing something here?

    Hello CRM_2007,
May you please elaborate on what doesn't work?
Do you see your link created via transaction launcher?
Did you manage to create a link to some URL like "google.com" that is working fine, or every kink that you create doesn't work at all ?
    Kind regards,

  • How to Reuse BSP Application in CRM UI

    Hi All,
I have a custom BSP Application which was used in PCUI as part of search help display. After migration of the system we would like to resuse this BSP application for the search help for the same field. Can anyone let me know what are the steps involved for this?
Objective: Steps involved for how to reuse BSP application in CRM UI.
    Regards,
    Harish P M

    HI Harish,
There is one idea to use transaction lancher.
    1. Check the relevant URL parameters that you need to define. You can find the parameters at the end of the URL.
    2. Define those paramters at IMG -> CRM -> Interaction Center WebClient -> Basic Functions -> Define URLs and Parameters
    3. Assign the values of the relevant parameters in the Transaction launcher wizard that can be accessed through IMG -> CRM -> Interaction Center WebClient -> Basic Functions -> Transaction Lancher Wizard at the step "Transaction parameters".

  • Calling custom BSP application from CRM PCUI

    Hi,
We are using the CRM PCUI for channel partner management. Since PCUI framework has some limitations as to how the data is formatted in the layout such as no multiple value selection ( Being a generic framework using blueprint tables we have to use the predefined layout settings and positions) we want to call a standalone BSP application to maintain some of the data such as marketing attributes. We want to do this by providing a link to the standalone BSP application where the data can be maintained. Since we will be calling this application in the create mode of a new BP, is it possible to integrate the whole application as one logical unit ? I mean we want to commit the marketing attributes within the same 'save' methods of the pcui framework. Is this possible to do ? Any ideas or input is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
we've already done a rework of the marketing attributes screen by using the technique I've described in my Weblog <a href="/people/gregor.wolf3/blog/2005/05/27/use-crm-pcui-html-viewer-to-call-a-custom-url">Use CRM PCUI HTML viewer to call a custom URL</a>. But it has one drawback: You can't use the Save button of the PC-UI applicaiton. You have to provide your own. But the usability enhanchement is rearly great.

  • BSP Application error

    Hi,
We are facing a problem in running BSP application in CRM portal. We have checked the service crm_bsp_frame in SICF. It is activated, but when i am trying to test it, it is showing internet connection error. Similarly when i am trying to test the application in SE80, i am getting the same error.
    Please guide us.

    Hi,
Are you running the BSP application from SE80? If not, Goto the BSP Application & page which you are testing. Look at the Page attribute, at the bottom you will find the URL. Just compare the URL which you using is same or not.
Please add more detail from where you are running the BSP pages.

  • How to create custom BSP application in SAP CRM?

    Hi Experts,
I would like to seek help from you. I am new in developing CRM objects. My first requirement is to create a custom program that will generate a PDF report.
First thing I would like to know is the transaction code where I need to create a BSP application that will be able to run in crm webclient. Please clarify if it is in BSP_WD_CMPWB or in SE80 because it is said that I should create BSP application using MVC.
Second thing is how will I be able to call a smartforms in a BSP application. The scenario for my custom program would be, I should have a two input fields in the selection-screen which are Business Partner ID and Product Lines. together with a button that will trigger the form when ticked.
Hope to hear from all of you. Your help will be very much appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Monica

    Hello MonicAnna,
You can find some information on this page.
And also you dont have to use se80 to create new Bsp appliaction. You can create new application by this transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB.

  • CRM - BSP applications - Getting started

    Hi Experts ,
I have a knowledge of BSPs used in R/3.
and for my project requirement now i am asked to study CRM BSPs.
And i am not aware of the CRM BSP applications at all.
what is the difference between BSPs and CRM BSPs ??
Can anybody give me a Document containing overview of CRM BSP applications?
Also for this do i need the knowledge of CRM functional areas?
    Regards,
    Ashish Shah

    Hi Ashish,
CRM BSPs and R/3 BSP are similar. They are similar, if you are designing custom BSPs.
In CRM we have SAP standard BSP applications which were develped on MVC architecture. They are 1) CRM_IC ( CRM Interaction Center) 2) CRM PCUI
These are standard SAP developed BSP application which are ready to work.
Each customer using CRM system, may need some customization in these Applications.
So in CRM we will work on These standard BSP applications as well on Custom build applications, depending on customer needs.
    Thanks,
    Babu

  • The work item linked to bsp application can not be executed in CRM webUI

    Hi all,
        1. i have configured workflow in SAP GUI. And i have linked one activity to bsp application(link to the task with bo WEBSERVICE and method PROCESSDIALOG).
        2. When i start the workflow and click the workitem in workflow inbox, then the bsp page will pop up.
        3. In CRM webUI, you can find all the workitems under CRM webUI worklist as the same as SAP GUI. And when i execute the workitem in webUI. a error appears as 'Dynamic navigation for object WEBSERVICE and action F not supported'.
In a word i want to link my customized bsp application with wokitem in CRM webUI .
    any suggestion ? ths

Frankly, I am not aware of CRMGUI but  in general, the way we assign is
    1. Initially we define a external service ( WF_EXTSRV).
    2. Then by using that definiton we'll create a task.
    3. The task created in the second step, we use in the workflow.
    4. Now when ever any user tries to execute the workitem then it directly opens the BSP application.
Before doing all the above steps one should make sure that the service is ACTIVE in SICF txn, and what ever the parameters that are required to pass the BSP application must be defined in the WF_EXTSRV.
IF you want the workitem to appear in the UWL you need to register the task in SWFVISU txn with the visualization parameters  APPLICATION. and the task as BSP standard application.

  • Restricting the drop down menu contents in CRM BSP application for portal

    Dear All,
I have a problem with CRM BP where I am accessing a BSP application for ACTIVITIES - SEARCH "CRMD_BUS2000126_F4" as an iview. This iview has been assigned to a user who is an external employee of the organization. This contains a drop-down menu to search for ACTIVITIES based on user's choice(ME, MY DEPT, MY GROUP..etc). My problem is to restrict the choices in the DROP-DOWN menu to only ME and remove all others.
    How do i do that???

    Chan

    Hi Chan,
    u r on right track.
Save the changes that you make to the field group (entering a default value and tick 'read-only')
I hope you are changing the field-group in CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C.
after u have saved the canges to the fieldgroup, you need to re-gerenate the layout.
Layout of User Interface (People-Centric UI) -> Application Element -> Field Group -> Layout Generation.
Enter the name of the fieldgroup that u just changed.
First run it as it is (with the "Only Check Field-Groups" ) to see if it is running into any errors.
If there are no errors, Make sure that you remove the "Only Check Field-Groups" option and then execute.
The layout will b generated and you should see the desired changed now.
Hope this helps. / reward points if helpful..

  • Cannot open PDF link in CRM BSP application

    Hi There,
I am using CRM BSP application. While I am on the CRM Webpage and I choose a tab like ‘Processing Sale’. I go to ‘attachments’ and there is a link to open the PDF file. On the Development environment if I click the link, the PDF file opens but in the Production environment if I click the PDF link, the file does not open.
What sort of settings do I need to change in the config i.e. in the transaction SICF to be able to open the PDF file. The difference that I found in the environments was that in TCode SICF, default_host->sap->bc->contentserver. There was no user setup in the Production environment but in Development there was one. But I created a similar user but still the problem not solved. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance !

  • BSP Application for starting Web UI in CRM 2007 (6.0) using SE 80

    Hi All,
Could you let me know the name of the BSP application that I need to execute using SE80 transaction
in CRM 2007 (6.0) to start the Web UI from the CRM GUI. Also, let me know if there is any other way
(tcode... etc) to start Web UI from GUI.
    Thanks in advance.
    --R D

You can use BSP Appl CRM_UI_FRAME to start the WebUI in 6.0 version.
Also you can create a favorite in the start menu, right click on fav and select add other object, then choose BSP application and put application name as CRM_UI_FRAME, some description and start page as default.htm. Thats all now you can directly click on that favorite and launch the WebUI
