Bt Cloud Pin

Ok so i fill all the info needed to be able to use Bt cloud and wait for Pin to arrive....Pin arrives go back onto the site to enter pin and states Pin has expired...I have only just recieved it through the post!
If there is an expiry on these pins why send by post send by email!
Totally give up seems everything BT does seems to be different to any other company in the way of doing things and then when they do send out these 4 digit pins they state expired!!!!
I AND OTHERS SEEM TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM !

@Simon
Yep, same issue here. Whilst I've been invited to contact a mod (done, awaiting next steps) I've also just tried calling the 0800 number that's been supplied. The call centre person I spoke to told there had been some major Cloud outage which meant the issued PINs would not be valid, and lots of people have this problem. Went through the rigmarole of trying again, only to get the "exceeded incorrect attempts" message" (wrong, I put the issued number in)
Then told to wait another 48hrs, try again, ignore the "enter PIN" prompt, goto "continue" where apparently another page will appear inviting me to apply for a new PIN as one has not arrived. Then I should expect a new PIN letter to arrive in .......7-10 working days. Awesome.
I asked the question why the count against invalid PIN entries could not merely be nullified, allowing me to use the existing PIN, but they can't do that. Seems a missed opportunity there, as that would be quick, easy, and cost effective to BT where additional letters and postage are concerned.
Sorry but this seems another ill conceived plan, and doesn't really launch a new service that was not asked for, in the best way, IMHO.
Should my contact with Mods move things along, that would be great, and I'll update.

  • BT Cloud PIN Issues

Having a frustrating time here, and trying, but mostly failing to be positive about a change I did not ask for.
So I've played ball and asked for a Cloud PIN (err why? It's BT offering it me in the first place, and BT has all my account info already!)
Nevertheless the letter arrived yesterday, no hints about PIN expiry. I try to set it up today and it fails.
Firstly telling me the PIN has expired and/or is incorrect (no, I can get 4 digits right) then eventually telling me I need to wait 24 hours before I can try again due to incorrect attempts. Brilliant.
So, simple questions, hoping this will not turn into an epic (that's after spending 10 pointless minutes on the phone when I was called over this one)
-Does the PIN have a validity period, if so how long, and does it take into account the tragically pathetic service offered by the Royal Mail?
-If I try again in 24 hours or so, and it still fails, what do I do next?
    thanks in advance

    Updates...
Even though I have not been able to reach a webpage where I could request a new PIN, a PIN letter arrived in the post 20 minutes ago. I duly tried to log on to www.bt.com/mypin, logon accepted,  but instead of taking me to a page where I could enter a PIN, it immediately went to the error "you have exceeded your incorrect attempts limit. please try again in 24hrs". Puzzled.
Called the suggested number (not the one I called yesterday as per the details in the PIN letter(s)) After a lengthy hold I spoke to someone and explained what has happened. Eventually I was able to get the point over that I was still getting an error, even though I had not had the chance to actually input the PIN.
On providing my PIN and account info, the person then confirmed my PIN was actually active, and the suggestion is that the premature error is based on my old PIN issues, and to try once more, with new PIN in 24 hours.
I'm expecting a reasonable hangover in 24 hours time, as I'm on a stag night tonight, so I really hope I don't have to get on the phone again tomorrow

  • Windows 7 pinning files to program has no options for Illustrator in Cloud?

Hello! I'm sorry if this is obvious but I'm not sure what to search to find out what's going on, this is the issue I'm having:
My work computer was updated to use cloud programs overnight. Before this I'd been running CS5 (Illustrator and Photoshop primarily), and Windows 7 allowed me to pin files to the program in the taskbar so I could access them easily with one click. Every other program I've used on Windows 7 gives this option as well.
They would show up under 'recent' after creation, or if opened afterwards and if I clicked 'pin to this list' the file would be moved above into the 'pinned' section. I've opened multiple files with Cloud AI so far and there is no 'recent' selection at all in the taskbar.
I have 5 layer and information dense files I need to open, edit, and resave copies of continuously so it would be incredibly useful to have the option to pin files to the cloud program as well.
Has anyone else run into this problem? (Or would this question be better suited for another area of the community?)

    Hello,
Please use the Services applet to make sure there SQL Server services installed, even when they are not started and they
are not listed on the Task Manager processes tab. Use the following article to open the Services applet.

  • Creative Cloud does not start, the pin wheel on my mac just spins, spins, spins

I have a MacBook Pro with 370 gigs of HD available (of 500gig), 4 gigs of ram, and 2.7 ghz processor.
I installed Adobe Ai (creative cloud) and the install seemed to have worked just fine.  However, in the
creative cloud window (when clicking the icon on the top bar), there's just little blue bars that go in circles
and never seem to stop.  Sometimes, the window never appears but if I hit command-tab and I see it as
an option and select, the mac pinwheel just spins, and spins, and spins.
Has anyone run into this before?

Mine actually was the fact that I never really finished the install.  I think you have to go through the install from within the Creative Cloud window located on the top of your screen (you'll see the Ai creative cloud icon).  You should see a bunch of products with 'Try' or 'Install' and you find Ai and click install.  It takes a while but it will install.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App Window Blank, Windows 8.1 (Resolved)

    Platform: PC
    OS: Windows 8 (8.1)
I needed to download Flash, so I searched for my Desktop Application Manager.  Opened the Creative Cloud App, and saw this:
I waited for it to "load" but nothing ever loaded.  I clicked the gear to see if I could log out and log back in, but just saw three practically useless options:
[Help, Pin to Notification Area..., Quit]
I waited 2 hours for customer service, and finally got this answer:
Launch the run window. (press: window button, type: "run" OR window button + X, select "Run")
    Type %appdata%
You'll see AppData > Roaming, click AppData in the address bar.
Open Local > Adobe > OOBE
Cut opm.db and paste it to the desktop.
    >>If you receive an error, open the task manager and close ALL Adobe processes, then retry.
Open Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application
    Log in. (ta-da!)
Delete the file that you cut and pasted to the desktop.
I hope this helps someone avoid the long wait time for customer service to fix this error that seems to have sprouted after some update corrupted the opm.db file.

    1.  quit the app (from the task bar) and relaunch.  if that fails:
    2.  Remove the OPM.db file and relogin into the Creative Cloud desktop application using the Adobe ID tied to your subscription.
Mac OS: You can locate the OPM.db file in the \User\<user name>\Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE folder. To access the hidden user Library folder, see Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion.
Windows: You can locate the OPM.db file in the \Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE folder.  To view the hidden AppData folder, see Show hidden files, folders, filename extensions | Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7.

  • Creative Cloud wont open or install

I'm running a 64 bit windows 8 Alienware 17 and I'm had the program for about 6 months now. I admit I havent used the desktop program much, instead just pinning photoshop etc to my task bar. But my school required me to download another app from the program and I cant open the creative cloud properly. It opens, but just displays a white screen and doesnt load no matter how long I let it sit.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that doesnt work. Also restarting my laptop doesnt seem to help either.

  • How do I stop the cloud TV shows from showing on my phone?

How do I remove the cloud TV shows from showing on my phone running ios7.0.2?  I download tv shows from my computer, but there are so many cloud TV shows cluttering my screen that it's hard to find the ones I downloaded.  Why can't we delete these from our phones like we can hide them in iTunes?

    My Culprit: Skype
In case someone else stumbles across this thread: my "random" boing noise was caused by Skype: Preferences -> Notifications -> Event: Contact Becomes Available. Since that can happen anytime you're signed in, and there's no "obvious" message/event, it's hard to pin down.

  • I'm having trouble with Creative Cloud's desktop app, when I launch it it loads but it's just a blank window, can you help?

I'm trying to attach a screenshot but apparently that's against Adobe's guidelines.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times today, even redownloaded the .exe from adobe. All with the same effect.
Everytime CC loads with a blank window and the only thing I can interact with is the gear icon for Help, Pin Notification, and to Quit.

  • Creative cloud is blank window why?

Windows 7 64 bit computer. Creative cloud informs me of updates, but on launch nothing appears but a blank window. Header creative cloud and the gear appear. The only options listed with the gear are; help, pin to window area, and quit creative cloud. Removing creative cloud and re-installing fails to fix the problem of a blank window. Cannot update any product using creative cloud, cannot see any thing in cloud window. No way to sign in or out, just quit. Problem for three days now and no support available to fix problem. This means paying for subscription, but not getting access or updates at this point. I feel a bit cheated paying for something, I am not getting!

For me, there is a display driver issue.  I have an all black screen (instead of all white) in Creative Cloud every time it updates
I fix it by running Creative Cloud in 256 colors once, installing updates, closing Creative Cloud and then running as normal.
    Short hand:
    Go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe >
Properties > Compatibility > Check "Run in 256" > Run CC > Finish install > Close > Uncheck "Run in 256" > Run CC.
    Step-by-step:
Close all Adobe products (kill them in task manager)
    Right Click C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe
    Select "Properties"
    Select "Compatibility" tab
Under "Settings," check "Run in 256 colors"
    Apply
    Run C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe
You should be able to see all the options now, complete the update, then close Creative Cloud
Close all Adobe products (kill them in task manager)
    Right Click C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe
    Select "Properties"
    Select "Compatibility" tab
Under "Settings," uncheck "Run in 256 colors"
    Apply
    Run C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC\Creative Cloud.exe

  • Creative cloud is empty

I downloaded Creative Cloud as part of the subscription process. But now it's just an empty box that says Creative Cloud on top. Only option is the Tools button to Help, Pin or Quit. What do I do next so I can see all my applications?

  • Business Catalyst / Creative Cloud

Hi, i currently use Go-Daddy for my web hosting and email services.  Is there an adobe BC section / part of the creative Cloud membership that will allow me to migrate / transfere my godaddy stuff to BC without paying more for the email capabilities.
    Cheers

You can point any domain name you own at GoDaddy using an A record that will only point the web traffic to BC and you can retain your email services for that domain.  In BC's terminology this is called an "external DNS" setup.  It depends on what datacenter your site is on but when you setup your free Creative Cloud site on BC you'll be asked to choose a datacenter to host that site on (US, Europe, etc.).  Once you have your BC site setup you'll have to add an A record on GoDaddy for the "naked" (no "www") and "www" versions of your domain name to point to BC.
If you look at http://adobebcmigration.com/instructions#arecords you should see "New IP" addresses for each datacenter. Choose one of the new IP addresses listed there that is associated with the datacenter your site is on with BC and use that IP address for the "A record" you setup on GoDaddy. Make sure you choose one of the "New" IP addresses and not the old one.
If you aren't familiar with adding DNS entries on GoDaddy-- they have great support so I would call them up (make sure you have your GoDaddy account number and call-in pin ready) and tell them this:
"I need to setup an A record for each of my naked domain and "www" domain for my domain YOURDOMAIN.COM that need to point to IPADDRESS."
And you should replace YOURDOMAIN.COM with the domain you want to attach to a BC site and IPADDRESS with the IP Address you got from the link above. They should be able to do it over the phone for you.
Once you've made the changes on GoDaddy, login to your BC site and attach your custom domain name by going to Site Settings > Site Domains and clicking "Add domain". Here's what your settings should look like but use your domain name instead of the one I'm showing.  You don't need to add "www" before the domain because BC will add that for you.
