Budget spread out to months

Question

Hi everyone,
While doing Budget Spread out over 12 months, I have to give few options to users -
1) I have a GL expense accounts the total value (arrived at by multiplying the $ value with quantity) of which I want to spread out to 12 months in future. These will be added dynamically and Script logic/BADI won't be used. How to go for it - We are on 7.5 NW
2) The months which have been manually entered should be grayed out and on the rest total value will be spread out. Please suggest what function to use for this.
On a high level it will look like this -

Hi Ben,
It sounds like you want to do this in Excel, since you say no script logic or BADI, is that correct? Is the idea that the user will fill in the values, or do you have an automated calculation that you want to do?
To grey out months that are already entered, you'll want to use the EVDRE option for GetOnlyRange, which will make whatever range you specify non-inputable. You can then define a format that will grey out and lock those cells. You can make the GetOnlyRange dynamic, so it can grey out already input cells that are in prior months.
The allocation (or spread) is pretty easy if you want the users to do it manually. You can use the built in "Spread" functionality, or you can write your own macro to do the spread to the remaining months. If you want it to be automated, then you'll need to put a formula into your EVDRE, which may actually require you to use two EVDREs. This can get very complicated, so you might want to stick with a partially manual or macro-based approach, or consider doing it in script logic and just providing the user with the result.
