Bug: grouping and others

i'm not sure if if this a bug. perhaps i'm not using edge reflow correctly, since it's in beta there's a darth of resources. So here's the problem:
1) when i move layers up/down. 4 out of 5 times i accidently group the contents of the div when i really didn't intend to do that, it seems somehow the act of moving layers also group the div contents sometimes.. very weird..
2) The layer palette is hard to use in its current state. i think it needs to be a floating palette of part of the tool set on the left. right now it requires a click before i can access it. and scrolling up/down the palette really strains my hands. bc i use this palette every other second.
3) is there a way to lock values i eneter for div/elements?? (ie. margin, positions,, etc) bc it gets moved automatically when i bring in a new elements that impacts it. i understand this is the nature of webdesign.. but is it possible to lock the previously entered values so i don't have to re-enter values over and over again...( i spend 70% of my time doing that, and it takes me half day to a day jsut to layout a page...!)
#1 and #3 is why i'm reluctant to use it for real work right now. b/c those two bugs slow me down too much... :-(
but i can see the potential of edge flow if some of these bugs are worked out. when it does. it will be prob. be one of my fav softwares. :-B

Thanks for your feedback. The panel where you move elements is representative of the DOM. Depending on where you mouse down, you might end up making an element a child of another box (as you mentioned). To avoid this, one recommendation I'd make is to close all of the boxes (near where you want to place your element). For example, in this project, if you want to put "Content" above "Header", close the hints-MQ box first.
If the other boxes are "closed", you cannot make anything you drag a child of that box. This would be your desired outcome.
#2 has been noted and is common feedback we have gotten, so, we'll likely look at options for changing this.
#3 You can try grouping elements so that the contents of the group are locked and don't get moved. But, there is no way, right now to lock the position of any element to ensure it always stays in the same place. I suppose you could change the layout property Postion to "Absolute" which means it would not ever be affected by other elements. But, I'm not sure if this would be what you wanted because the items would never move even with browser size changes.

I see when Windows vista users of my OS X 10.5.8 server save a file to the server, the permissions show on the server as Read & Write for the owner and Read Only for 'Group' and 'Others'.
Is there a way I can make the OS X server always make 'Group' and 'Others' always be Read & Write?

It's using a shared component LOV cleverly called LOV_YN which consists of a static LOV with
1 Display=Yes, Return=Y
2 Display=No, Return=N
The settings in the LOV section on the item iteself:
Named LOV: LOV_YN
Display Extra values: No Dynamic translation: Not translated
Number of columns: 2 Display null: No
Null display value is blank as is null return value
Item was setup as a radio group and was only converted over to a select list to work around this issue. Let me know what else you need and thanks again.

When I use Thunderbird with Yahoo Groups, Google groups, and other email lists, I don't get a copy of my own emails back from the list. I *do* when I use Mail, so it seems like a Thunderbird thing. I'd really like to see my own emails come back to me in the conversation so that I know where my remarks fall in the discussion; it's very disorienting when you can't tell if your email has arrived at the list, or not. I can't seem to find the setting, and I've searched thru your help topics, etc., to no avail. Thanks.

It's both gmail and mac.com email accounts, and it's all email lists -- including some privately hosted on servers, that are not Google groups, not Yahoo groups.
I'm not sure what you mean by "saving a copy of your messages yourself" in Mail -- if I email to the lists with Mail on my laptop or iPad, I can see it on my desktop computer too, right in line with other email messages in the thread, after the list resends the message I've submitted. It's only Thunderbird that this "invisible posts" behavior happens, and it didn't use to happen this way. I used to get my emails posting right in the thread.

and you may sell the same developed product over the counter lateron. Then what strategy or strategy group and other necessary settings would be needed for the new material.

Hi,
If you are producing against your customer reqmt, you can use the planning strategy as 20. Later you would like to sell this in your counter u can use planning strategy 10 and 40 also. In SAP the same material can be assigned up to 6 planning strategy. Based on the requirement class it will behave according to the planning strategy.

My Photoshop CS6 Bugs, Ideas and other things

First of all, great job on many new features like: Dashed strokes, Styles for your Character and Paragraphs, Background saving.
I'm a webdesigner and I am using it now this whole morning and midday. So far so good, install went fine, working perfectly. But below a list of features I miss and a list of bugs or some other things I miss.
- Changing the opacity of a layer from any number to 100% doesnt work with the numeric pad
- Great job on the styles for typography, but why not doing the same thing for colors/swatches. You can make your own swatch library and you can attach that color to any object, shape, whatever. What would be really handy if you change that color in the swatches it would affect all objects who share that swatch. Really missing that feature a long time!
- Still missing external use of images/psd's/ any format. That I can place in my document, for example a psd, and when I change the original psd it would also automaticly update the placed object. It's like using a library like Fireworks.
- I like it when I drag my documents into photoshop, but when I drag a PSD to Photoshop it will open as a smartobject into the file wich was open, not as a new window. You can only achieve that by dragging it outside of the document, more like dragging it onto the option bars... Imo that's irritating.
- If you make a vector shape, it creates a path. If you select the shape it will show the path outlines around the shape. When you apply layer effects on the shape the shape is still selected, so you will see the path outlines around the shape. It's very annoying when you apply a stroke around the object it still showing the outline of the path around it. In CS4 (don't know about CS5) you could deselect the layer, then double click the effects icon on the layer and it will popu the layer styles menu without showing the outline of the path, in CS6 that doesnt work anymore.

So i finally started using the trial photoshop 6 and the first thing I notice, (that was wrong with 5.5) is that the zoom is zagged! Why must it zoom in large increments using the magic mouse? How it is possible to work with images zooming (very clunky) is beyond me. Photoshop 4 is fine. Nice and smooth when I'm using the finger scroll like a wel tuned machine, but then in the newest and greatest editions, it works like smashing the throttle to pull forward an inch!
This is crazy that something as basic as this is not addressed. Thank god that I can use the lasso tool and the zoom with scroll wheel again in this version (didn't work in 5.5) but hopefully this get s addressed. I really don't want to have to suffer through this when the newest final version is out.
Also, ( I assume this will be fixed in the final version) all of my preferences get reset everytime i open it. That is annoying.
So far I like the new look and it is much better than 5, but the basic things should work! I'm also not used to the tools not lining up with the cursors the same way. The lasso tool used to line up with the actual lasso, but now they line up with the arrow. Makes sense, but will take some getting used to.
PLEASE FIX THE ZOOM!

Button group and 'Other Components'

Hullo,
I am trying to insert in the gui a couple of exclusive buttons, in the sense that when one is on the other becomes off.
I thought the component useful for that was 'Button Group'. Though when I insert it, it end up in the Other Components session and does not show in the main panel. Normal independent buttons work regularly by simply laying them in the panel.

I managed to create a package and a class inside and to have it compiled - a feat to me as I started touching Java yesterday :-)
Still I have no cue about how to invoke it from the main package. The example fares to dispatchers and the like, what I do not need presently as I only need to get the clicked button at a later time rather that invoking an event at the click.
Basically how do I simply instantiate the class in the other package? Should I import the other file and how?
This is what I tried that gives error lamenting it does not find the symbol and location class.

Talent Group and Support Team

Hi.
To my understanding only Talent Management Specialists (TMS) assigned as members of the support team for each Talent Group shall be able to maintain the Talent Group. This is an important function we need so that TMS can't delete another TMS Talent Group by mistake.
However in our system any TMS can access and edit/delete any Talent Group regardless if they are assigned as support team member or not.
Are there any settings we might have missed?
We are using the SAP standard role (well a z-copy of it).

I have the same requirement as Mauritz, i.e., the Talent Group should only be available for the persons in the Support Team. This applies to both Manager and Talent Managment Specialist. So the TMS should only be able to modify and nominate candidates for own Talent Groups and other groups where he/she is assigned as member of the Support Team. The Manager should only be able to nominate candidates in Talent Assessment if the manager is in the support team (ideally, as an altenative, the manager should be able to nominate talent for talent groups created by the talent manager of his/her organization, but I don´t expect SAP to provide such a sophisticated option).
I have tried to use restricted Manager roles, but the manager can in my scenario nominate for talent groups even if the manager is not in the support team. Similar, as TMS, I can edit the Talent Groups created by other TMS, even if I am not in the support group.
Have any of you found an easy way of restricting access to talent groups without creating a structural authorization profile for each of them? We are implementing this application on a global scale, so it is important to be able to create both local and global talent groups.
Any input on this matter would be appreciated.

Route with weight group and without weight group

Hello All
I have created two same routes as per user requirement one with weight group and other is without weight group.once the delvery is created the route is picked up.But how do i know whether this route is with weight group or without weight group.
Could you please clarify so that i can proceed for testing.

Try this
Go to SE16 enter LIKP table then execute here you enter your delivery number then go to menu>Settings>Format list-->Clik on Choose fields here you deselect all the fields you select
VBELN - Delivery
GRULG - Weight group
PERFK - Route then execute now you can get the details about the delivery number , weight group and Route.
If system displays only Delivery and Route you can understand there is no involvement of weight group in the route determination.
If the system displays Delivery,weight group and route then you can understand that thre is weight group involvement in the route determination.

I mostly use technology for education and professional audiovisuals and lights.
I don't sync music because I use music from at least 4 different computers. (manually mange music)
I use my iPad to play performance tracks for church and a local gospel group out of our church, Won4Christ.
I chose to buy the iPad because the laptop of one of the group members (dellxps running iTunes) was randomly losing and mixing up music and I wanted a more stable option that was bigger than my iPod touch.
I tried to add some data to music libraries that I previously added to my iPad, but the data only shows up when looking at the device in iTunes.
Wifi sync has not worked on either my laptop or desktop ( both running windows 7 enterprise 64 and newest iTunes) not really a big issue, but very annoying
When browsing through library playlist albums on the iPad, random artwork shows up on playlists with no artwork that you touch while dragging, and it does not go away until you change to another navigation tab and back.
Random songs out of hundreds that I added showed up in iTunes grayed out with a sync circle beside them. Those songs would play back okay on the iPad but were unplayable through the iTunes device view. I had to delete the songs manually through the library along with the playlist and add them again.
These seem to be major stability bugs in the "new" music app and iTunes. My only option right now seems to be to delete the songs that I want to change and re-add them with the changes already applied rather than changing the id3 tags and artwork on the existing music. I hope apple will release updates to resolve these issues.

Ios8 copy and paste / Digital AV Cable / internet dropping and other bugs!

hello -
so like everyone else else there is a number of bugs I am running into. so here's my list- Yes I've tried to restore, so I am praying that the ios8 update will contain these fixes:
- copy and paste doesn't work between applications- but it's sporadic! (issue originally found when copying from a webpage to an email, then into notes from another webpage)
- my Apple lighting to digital AV cable doesn't "read/transfer" to the TV
- internet randomly drops for a few seconds to minutes for no apparent reason the it being an iPhone 6
- Facebook and other internet heavy apps like Associated Press are extremely lagging or give me an error unable to connect to server
- randomly freezes while taking pictures or taking notes- it won't even let me shut down
- voicemail set up doesn't work
I am sure there are more bugs but haven't seen them or I've forgotten about them! If anyone else has these problems please check the box that you do have the same issue. Also any known resolutions would be appreciated!

Export them to a folder on the Desktop. File -> Export
Add that to the device.

How to diable only one field enabled and other fields disabled for one user group?

Hi,
I have a form contains many fields. A group of users can add items using that form.
As per the user requirement I have created a filtered view and that filtered view can be seen by some other sharepoint user group but as per their further requirement the new sharepoint user group is only allowed to update Remarks field. All other fields
should be disabled for them.
In my idea, I have to create multiple forms and in one of it except Remarks field all should be disabled but I am unable to assign multiple forms to a single list.
Or how to make Remarks field enable to this user group and for other admin user group all fields could be enabled.
Hope I have expressed my question correctly.
Any solution would be appreciated.

There is no Out of the Box way to set permissions on each column, primarily due to the performance impact. The following thread provides some options,

BUGS: Multiple Undos with Single CMD-Z (and other buggy tales)

BUG #1:
In the SIDs thread (now locked) I said in response to Logic Pro Help, "Hey, after all, Logic ain't that bad". Today I've changed my mind.
In full view of my writing partner, we witnessed numerous times that Logic would undo multiple edits after hitting CMD-Z just once. I've reported this in numerous other threads I've started here on the Apple Forum. I've posted Feedback about it. Naturally, there's been no response from the company.
BUG#2a: we tried to troubleshoot why certain SMPTE-locked regions would unlock (using a key command) and other locked regions on the same MIDI track would unlock.
BUG#2b: while checking to see whether my key command for Unlock SMPTE Position was still intact or not, I went to the key command window and hit cntrl-opt-cmd-U (custom assignment) expecting that the assigned command would scroll into view in the KC window. But I should have known better --- this is one of those key combinations which will NOT cause the assigned command to scroll into view. Sure enough, entering the word "SMPTE" in the search window caused the display to show the Unlock SMPTE Postion command. So why does pressing some keys/key combinations in the KC window show the assigned command while some do not?
And we're supposed to be OK with this kind of behavior?

Yes I have done that - I mapped CMD + Z but that kind of gets in the way of years of habit and is a bit frustrating and confusing when you're working quick etc...
It does work fine doing that (I have just uninstalled 3 versions of Photoshop and reinstalled CC 2014 and still no multiple undos on OPT + CMD + Z?! It's like it won't accept the key combination because if you go into map back to OPT + CMD + Z after changing it to CMD + Z it won't let you. You have to revert to default to even get that option back. C'est bizarre...non?
