Bugreport: Colunm Heading Alignment in Reports (Center)

Hi,
The colunm heading template is defined as:
<th #ALIGNMENT# id="#COLUMN_HEADER_NAME#" #COLUMN_WIDTH#>#COLUMN_HEADER#</th>
But, when the alignment of any colunm is setted with Center value in the report definitions, it's displays like this in the browser:
<th align="left" id="COL08">...</th>
The others options of alignment provided are working just fine.
Thanks in advice,

it appears we have a bug in the way use those column heading alignment attributes. thanks for pointing it out - i'll log it shortly. i haven't tested this work around, but i'd imagine you could get around the issue quite easily for now using a report template in which you define your own column heading alignments.
hope this helps,

  • Report Column Heading Alignment - Center Not Working Correctly

I am using Apex 2.1 (XE) and now have an application with about 30 pages. I've noticed that some of my reports which have columns with a heading alignment of "center" are not always centering if they have columns that align to the left or right included before them. I looked at the generated HTML and it shows that align="LEFT" or align="RIGHT" is being generated in the source even when the column heading is set to center in the designer. It appears that if a field higher on the list says to align the column heading left or right, then that is what the following columns are going to do also if they are set to center. So column heading left and right works great, and center works only if all the columns are set to center.
My question: Is this a known bug? Is it something that can be scheduled for a fix at some point in the future?
Luckily the column data itself obeys the column alignment, so this is strictly a cosmetic problem with the column headings.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hello,
    What theme are you using?
Try setting them with a css decalration. Instead of align="right" put this is in the heading attribute
    style="text-align:right;" or style="text-align:left;"

  • Aligning a report to center of page

I'm new to Apex, and in working through my first application the one thing I can't figure out how to do (so far) is align my report to the center of the page rather than the left side of the page. It is the only thing on the page and is currently located in "Page Template Region Position 2", has a template as "Reports Region", and is in column 1. I've tried changing the column number and that did nothing. I've tried different attributes in the "Region HTML table cell attributes" and that didn't work either, so I scoured this forum and still couldn't come up with an answer. If anyone has any insight into this issue it would be greatly appreciate!
    Thanks.

    Hi,
If its going to be the only thing on the page you can try changing the template to "Forms Region" instead of "Reports Region" This will change the look a little, but allows you to move it around easier.
Then place it in to column 2.
Then in the HTML attributes for the report you can enter in css style such as style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"
There are probably better ways to do this, but you can try it and see if you like it.

  • Left alignment on reports

    Dear Friends,
left alignment on reports do not work,
all of column are center alignment,
    have you got any idea?
    regards

    Dear Friend,
Try setting CSS Style of your column to
    text-align:left
    to see if that helps.
You should provide more info on this:
    - type of report
    - what does that mean "it doesn't work" - you can't change it or it is centered althoug you set it on lef alignment

  • 11.1.1.5 - Column Heading Alignment not working

I've created a simple one-column analysis, and I'm viewing the Table. I'd like to center the column header (currently it is left-aligned).
In the Layout section for the Table view, I'm selecting Format Headings from the column's option icon.
Changing the font characteristics works fine. Changing the cell background color works. However, changing the Horizontal Alignment and Vertical Alignment have no effect.
I've also tried this on the on the Column Properties ... Column Format for the column, selecting the formatting icon next to the Column Heading field. No luck there either.
Where is the correct place to change the alignment for column headings?

    hi
    try this....
    1. select criteria and go to column properties
2.Select Column Format(second tab) ->Column Heading ->format ->set the center for cell horizontal and vertical.
if you selected sort for this column, the center alignment is not working.
    Thanks

  • MP-101 paper for head alignment in MX922 does not fit

How do I complete the head alignment with MX922 as the specialty paper supplied does not fit?

    Hi cumphries,
There are two paper trays to load paper in the PIXMA MX922; the upper and lower cassette trays.  The MP-101 paper should be loaded in the lower cassette of the printer as shown below:
Slide the paper guide (A) in front and (B) on the right to open the guides.  Load the paper stack WITH THE PRINT SIDE FACING DOWN (3), and place it in the center of the lower cassette.
      Note:
Align the paper stack with the edge of the lower cassette as shown in the figure below.
If the paper stack is in contact with the protrusion (C), the paper may not be fed properly.
If paper has print side (front or back), such as photo paper, load it with the whiter side (or glossy side) facing down.
Align the paper guide (A) in front with the paper stack.
For standard sizes, align the paper guide (A) with where it clicks into place.
Slide the paper guide (B) on the right to align the right and left guides with both sides of the paper stack.
Do not slide the paper guides too hard against the paper. The paper may not be fed properly.
      Note:
Do not load sheets of paper higher than the load limit mark (D).
Keep the paper stack height below the protrusions (E) of the paper guides.
    Hope this helps!

  • Modify Header in XML report

There is an example in the users manual to modify the report header by using a callback, Chapter 10-12 Adding to a Report Using Callbacks. Will this work for xml reports in TS 3.1? I don't have any experience with xml, but need to add text and possibly an image to the header of a report.  My attempts so far do not generate any errors, but do not output anything to the report. I can break on the statement in the callback so I know it is called as the report is generated.

XML is a language designed to contain data with no information on how to present it.  You can open the XML report in notepad to see what the raw XML data looks like.  You'll notice it is far different than how you view the report.  To make the data more presentable, a style sheet (XSL) is used to translate the data.  This converts XML data into a HTML document to present the data in a more user-friendly way.  The style sheets are completely customizable.  If you wish to display a picture, you would need to modify the style sheet.  You also may need to modify the header of the XML document to describe what picture should be displayed.  These tasks are not trivial for beginners in XML.
For more information on XML, i would recommend http://www.w3.org/XML/.

  • Print head alignment keeps on getting worse and worse the more I try to "fix" it

First off, I know that this question doesn't really belong in the mbp section, but since I am printing from one, I thought this would be the closest match.
I have an Epson NX420 printer which came with my 2011 mbp 13in for free (err... $100 off the original $95ish to be exact). It will turn 3 years old in less than a month.
This past week, I have had troubles printing "good" images, so I did the print head alignment on Epson Printer Utility 4, following the written directions. I printed something out, and it was still disgustingly off, so I repeated the process two more times, each time printing something different. The vertical alignment is fine, but the horizontal alignment seems to get worse and worse. One thin line will be split into two in some places, and one will be dotted while the other solid, and in the case of color, the two bands are different colors. Solids come out grainy.
I don't want to waste any more paper and expensive ink for something that is not fixing itself. Since my mbp is still under Applecare warrenty, will Apple fix or trade my current printer for another one for free, or does Apple have nothing to do with printers other than its sale? If not, are there alternative ways to fix this problem? I am sure I am choosing the box without any bands at all and if there is I choose the lightest band-in-a-box and click realignment.
Here is the recent printout of random lines and text, after three unsuccesful trials of print head alignment.

This is a printer issue and it's only covered under the Epson Warranty Program, which is 1 year.  AppleCare has nothing to do with that.
You'll probably have to replace the printer if the print heads cannot be replaced.  That's the issue when you buy an inkjet that has print heads that aren't part of the ink cartriges... when they go bad, they go bad and you're hosed.  If the issue persists after a print cartridge change, then it's definitely the heads.

I have a template where I have a header section and a lines section which breaks the page on the value of the LOCATION. I would like to put the value of the LOCATION in the HEADER of the report. How do I reference the current value of LOCATION, for example on page 30?
    The report looks like this:
    whse_out cycle_no
    location lot_no
    location lot_no
    New page
    whse_out cycle_no
    location lot_no
    location lot_no
How can I get the value of LOCATION in my "HEADER" section and have it be the same value as the first location listed on the page?

    Hi,
you need to create an automated section break, .. in your for loop, add @section to the syntax.. that will create a section break everytime the node enters a new location info.. in the header just put in the tag for the location, it will pick up the first location and display it there..

p.s. if youre not able to do it, send me your template with a sample XML file, ill see what i can do.

    Hi Harshal ,
I dont think there is such function module /BAPI/Class-Method .
but if your excel file is dynamic you can write your own logic using field - symbols.
