Burning albums in iTunes without creating playlists ?

I want to burn 45 albums to disk tonight, however I don't want to have to create playlists for each one. Is their an easier way to burn all those albums without the hassle of creating playlists, i'm surprised I can't go into album view and press burn on each album that I wanted on disk.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the quick response,
I will just select the album I want to burn and press shift + CMD + N to create a new playlist from selection and burn it that way I guess.
Thanks once again.

  • How can I list the songs in an album in iTunes without having to do it one by one? Some albums are not numbered.

How can I list the songs in an album in iTunes without having to do it one by one? Some albums are not numbered or they show 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1.

Poor metadata needs to be corrected if the album is to display properly in iTunes. iTunes sees an "album" as any collection of tracks with the same Album title and the same Album Artist (or Artist if Album Artist isn't set). Each track of the album should have distinct Track V of W and Disc X of Y vaules. W,X,Y are optional, but X may be needed for multi disc albums.

  • Using ENCORE to burn straight to DVD without creating a menue.

An Adobe on-line training video said that a user could use Encore to burn an Adobe Premier CS4 project straight to DVD without creating a menue.  It said just go to FILE>EXPORT in PREMIER and click on EXPORT TO ENCORE.  However, that option does not show up when I click on file export.  Does anyone know why?
    Thanks!

    Premier Pro CS4  4.1.0  (MC:166418))
    Encore CS4  4.0.1.048
I did find a way to send the project to Encore via Dynamic Link but I still
did not see a way to burn it to DVD without creating a menu.
    Thanks!

  • How Can I Delete Albums From iTunes Without It Deleting Them From My iPod

    Please help!!!!
How Can I Delete Albums From iTunes Without It Deleting Them From My iPod classic 160GB?

    Hi, welcome to Apple Discussions.
I assume you've already consisdered manually managing your iPod's contents and rejected that idea.
I wouldn't recommend it as a solution, but if you delete the files for the albums leaving the entries in the iTunes library you can carry on syncing normally. iTunes will complain that it can't sync the missing files but it won't remove the copies from your iPod. Once you're happy with how things work you can can choose to suppress the error message.
While handy as a temporary workaround if space is an issue then it's probably time to look at moving your whole library to a bigger drive.

  • How do i stop Itunes auto creating playlists and auto playing imports?

HELP NEEDED - My PC crashed so i rebuilt with Windows 7, installed the latest itunes and so far so good. I then had to import my music library, first thing i noticed which it never did before, when i import folders it will automatically create a playlist for some of those imports, it doesn't create a playlist for every folder or album only some almost as if the smart playlist option is activated...how do i stop this happening? Second, when i import a folder Itunes autoplays the first song in each folder as it imports so it may play 2 seconds of a song or it may play a full song depending on the size of the folder, very annoying and because i have around 100 GB of music to import very very frustrating.
    Thanks,
    D

The current build of iTunes (10.4.1.10) appears to have a couple of issues with M3U playlists. The first is that when you import an M3U playlist, the list is created, and any files not already in the library it are added to it, but for some reason they just don't get added to the playlist. Secondly, when adding folders to the library, iTunes is also attempting to add any M3U playlists that it finds as well as any other valid media files not already in the library. The upshot is that iTunes may create a bunch of empty playlists corresponding to any M3U files you have scattered through your folders.
Use iTunes Folder Watch to scan your media folders for new files (and also for dead tracks) to avoid the issue. This is a more effective way of importing new media than simply adding in the entire media folder over and over again.
If you already have empty playlists you are struggling to delete manually then I've written a script for just that purpose called KillEmptyPlaylists.
As and when the time comes that you do want to import an M3U playlist then I have written another script to workaround the current difficulty called ImportM3U which does just what it says. It will also convert and add any WMA files present in the list on the fly whereas iTunes would normally ignore these.

  • Can't get itunes to create playlist using songs on ipod

How do I integrate the songs on my ipod with the itunes on my new computer without losing my downloads? I successfully authorized my new computer (Windows XP) for my itunes account. When I access my account on the new computer it shows all the songs that are on my ipod (downloaded from old computer) but they are in faint print and I cannot play them or create playlists. Every time I log on, it asks me if I want to copy the songs from the new computer onto the ipod. I tried this once and it wiped out all my other songs. Luckily, I still had the old computer and was able to retrieve my music.

You need to connect the iPod to the original computer. Open Preferences and select the iPod tab. Choose "manually manage songs and playslists."
You need to do it on the computer you want to manually manage songs on, not the original computer.
You will now be able to create the playlists on another computer.
As stated abive, you will hav to set this on teh new computer, not the original.
Also, you don't even need an iPod conected to create or manange playlists on the computer.
If you want to create and manage playlists on the iPod you obviously will need to connect it to a computer.
But doing this only on the iPod is not a good idea because if theiPod crashes, you lose them.
Create them in iTunes and sync them to the iPod.

  • How to convert from windows media into iTunes without creating two albums with one featured song by itself?

I found out how to convert my windows media player music into my iTunes since I just joined the apple world. I was able to do one CD but I tried to convert Alicia Keys Element of Freedom and all of the songs converted except "Put It In a Love Song" featuring Beyonce. If it's going to do that, how do I keep it from doing all of my albums that have featured artists so it'll be in one album. I don't want the album and then the sole song sitting there. I've tried to find out if anyone's addressed that, but I'm not sure if people are addressing it because it's coming from Windows Media and not the store yet.

Generally all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist. For more details see my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic One album, too many covers.

I have always been able to create playlists on itunes, then drag them to my ipod when it is plugged into the mac. I recently downloaded the latest version of itunes, and now am unable to do that. I can drag songs and albums to the ipod, but not my playlists. It used to be so easy, am I missing something here?

Plug your iPod into your computer, it will begin to sync. Now check to see if the playlists have been added.
If not, go to the songs tab under your iPod when it is connected to iTunes, Unless you have checked "Sync all songs (or something to those words)" you should have an option on what you can put on your iPod. Make sure to check the playlists that you want on your iPod.

  • ITunes creating playlist automatically whrn importing music

Itunes 10.4 in two computers (OSX and Windows XP) creates playlists when importing folders into the library, and autoplays them. Never happened before. ¿Any solution?

I did find a workaround. Itunes Folder Watch.will add folders without playlists. I deleted all the items and unwanted playlists in my itunes library, closed itunes, deleted the shortcuts to itunes and replaced them with shortcuts to itunes Folder Watch. Then I started up itunesFolder Watch, which reopens itunes.  I selected my media folder and then Folder Watch made a list of the items under "new tracks", I clicked "add tracks to itunes" and added all the items. It took a long time, but now it only takes a minute to check for new tracks. There is a bug where it keeps thinking that about a dozen John Haitt albums are new tracks even though though they have already been loaded. Other than that, it solves the problem.
When I hear that Steve Jobs was very demanding and had to make his programmers go back to the drawing board over and over again, I wonder if it was because his programmers did such a lousy job they deserved to be yelled at or if they actually did it right the first time but Steve Jobs had no idea what he was putting the users thru as he kept telling them to add brilliant ideas that didn't make any sense in the real world. Some how I don't think its the programmers fault. It isn't just itunes. I always find these weird problems whenever I get desparate enough to use apple products. For example, I haven't been able to figure out how to listen to podcasts on an mp3 player without using apple, and there is no way to get it to play a list of podcasts. It only plays them 1 at time. I spent hours on the phone with Apple and the only thing they could tell me was to make a movie of the podcasts everytime there is a new podcast, which is a royal pain in the ***. I am not going to do it. The very idea is absurd.
I'm absolutely sure there is no technical reason why these things can't be done, so it seems like there must be some reason why it makes more money for apple to do it completely the wrong way, users be damned, You know, like any Microsoft Product.  So when I read in the media how Apple made gadgets easy to use, I don't understand how that could be true.  Gadgets are generally NOT easy to use and there is no reason for it.They could easily be easy to use but the people in management have no imagination and the programmers got tired of explaining to them how their instructions don't make any sense and just gave up even trying to make itunes easy to use. I don't know a whole lot about Apple so I could easily be wrong about all that, but thats my guess.

  • I have downloaded all my music from the cloud to my new iPhone and created playlists so I can listen to it when not it wifi like when on a plane. If I turn on iTunes Match will I still have this music still downloaded?

I have downloaded all my music from the cloud to my new iPhone and created playlists so I can listen to it when not it wifi like when on a plane. If I turn on iTunes Match will I still have this music still downloaded? The online information suggests all my music will be replaced. Will I have to download it again??

What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not an iTunes "account."  The account that is related to iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use to sign in to the iTunes Store and make purchases.  It is also used with iCloud.  iPods (that are not iPod touch) are associated with your iTunes library, not to your Apple ID.
So, I think you probably just need to set up (or update) automatic syncing for the iPod.  If it's not set up to sync those new songs, iTunes still syncs the iPod, but it syncs nothing
In iTunes, if the sidebar (along left side of iTunes window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.  In the sidebar, the iPod appears under DEVICES, when it is connected.
Select the iPod in iTunes.  There is a row of buttons, starting with Summary.  Click on Music next to Summary.  This is the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music (if it's not already checked).  If your iTunes music library fits completely on the iPod, you can choose to sync Entire music library.  Otherwise, you can choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  On the lists below, checkmark the playlists, artists, albums, and/or genres that you want on the iPod.  When you click Apply, the songs from your selection sync to the iPod.
One convenient way to set this up (if you can't sync the entire iTunes music library) is to create a new playlist in your iTunes library.  Name it "iPod Songs" (or whatever you want).  Put ALL songs that you want on the iPod on this playlist, including those new songs.  Back on the iPod's Music screen in iTunes, select this playlist under Playlists.  Going forward, to update songs on the iPod, just update that playlist in your iTunes library (add/remove songs).  The next time you connect the iPod (or click the Sync button), iTunes automatically syncs the same changes to the iPod.

  • Creating playlists from iTunes Store music items

When browsing for music in the iTunes Store, I like to make playlists of songs that I'm interested in so I can access them later quickly and easily. In previous versions of iTunes, when creating a playlist by selecting and dragging items from the Store, the default name of that playlist would be either a combination Artist - Album like "Daft Punk - Human After All" or if there are various artists just the album name "Human After All".
Right now, in iTunes 8 (iTunes 8.0.2.20), dragging items from the Store to the source list results in a web address in the form of "http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore..." being the default name.
I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the newer versions of iTunes as the old behavior resulted in a useful playlist name instead of a string of internet address gibberish, which is useless and not very elegant.
Is anybody else experiencing this problem? I filed this as a bug at http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html , but maybe someone with a ADC membership can file a real bug report that probably gets looked at and maybe fixed.

Thank you, Katrina, but I really don't care for a "Wish List" playlist.
You can understand how my way of doing things would be useful to me (and hopefully some other people too).
By the way, if iTunes did it the right way before, why should it handle playlist names wrongly now?
In the course of improving their product Apple broke something. So the only sane thing for them to do is fix it or at least show me how to fix it temporarily until it's fixed in a later version.
