Business Graphics: Time Scatter, Line Chart, Column Chart

Hi all,
I have a requirement of intermixing of Bar/Column-Chart and Line-Chart. How to do this? I also need to color the columns.. Any Documents or Ideas will be appreciated.

   I think, my question is not clear..
My requirements are on Business Graphics (Not in IWDTable), where i need to represent my data in different columns (Levels). Each level will be Represented in different colors.
Eg: Top level of my Graph will have RED,
      Middle by YELLOW and
      Bottom part would be with GREEN.
My Second Question is on using Multiple Graph types in same graph...
Where data will be represented in Column/Bar Chart and in the same graph i need a curve to display the max value pointed by Column Chart..
How can i achieve this?

    By default Time scatter graph shows the X Axis values in Year and Month where the Format is fixed as yyyyMMdd;HHmmss. My Requirement is to show them in Minutes and Hours
Eg:

Open the Chart Designer for your Graphic
There you have to select "Time axis" --> "Line" in the Overview window (top right).
Now in The Line Window (bottom right) you can set 3 Line Parameters.
You have to set:
line type1 = Minute
line format1
line step1 = 15
line type2 = Hour
line format2 =
line step2 = 1
line type3 = None
line format3 =
line step3 = 0
You should also select a useful Timerange for TimeAxis. If it is to long you will see no numbers.

Adding Threshold line in column chart

Hi All,
Is there any way to show the threshold line in column chart? This is a high priority requirement in my project. Any kind of help is appreciated.

I am getting an error:
Webdynpro generation: metadata constraint of component component_name is violated: Point "// WebDynpro/View:com.domain.ProjectViewName/RootUIelementcontainer/...../ business graphics/series:series/Point" Role "Values":A minimum 1 object(s) is required.
I am using pie chart for graphics.

When you create a series , you have to create a series -> series_point->point ->numerical or time value..

How to Axis labels for Line charts in Business Graphics

Hi
I am planning to do the Business Graphic example using Line chart.As part of this
i didn't clearly understand what is the perpose of Series,Points,categorys?
if i want to set the Labels at X-axis and y axis ,then how to do that?Baiscally i want to put time related data as X-axis label(20min,30min,60 min etc).Please help.
is there any good example to understand the concept?

In the Context i created Node "A" under which i created "B".then it has value attributes xValue,yValue.Then in View i created BG UI element >Series>point-->NumericValue(for xValue) ,NumericaValue(yValue).Now in view init() method i had initialized values to x and y. some output is coming.but i want to know how to set the X-Axis Label,y-Axis Labels.in X-Aix Label i want to mention time in hrs i.e 8.00,8.30AM,9.00AM,9.30AM etc.as part of y-axis labels i want to mention numeric values( .2,.4,.8,2.0 etc). Please tell me how to set this X-Axis,y-Axis labels.at every 30min(8.00Am,8.30AM etc) user enter quality data(i.e .2 etc) then i want to generate chart.Please help in this regard.i will give very good points

Business Graphics and WebEnterprise

I have a two part question.
First, what is the best way to create business graphics such as line, bar,
and point graphs? OLE to Excel, OCX, some third party commercial graphics
library such as Brahma Software's Beacon?
Second, once I have a business graphic what is the best way to display these
graphics on a web page? A number of Forte field widgets such as ellipse,
polyline, and point do not have a corresponding HTML element and therefore
the Forte WebEnterprise WindowConverter class cannot convert these windows.
Is there a way to save Forte images as BMP/JPG images?

many ways to do this
1.U can use WDCopyService(Source ,Target) here Source : return node of model data
Target : Your temporary value node which bound to BG.
Note : Each time when ever model data get updated(CRUD) u have to call this node.
2. Use Mapping type node and bind it to BG ui element exe : when we create any node It has 4 options one of them is Mapping select this and provide the model node
(mapping of node with model node is replica of the content there in model node, here u don't have to worry about updated content since its replica and get changed eveytime when model operations is performed)

Printing Business Graphics

Hi all,
Using WD Business Graphics I've generated a Gantt chart in my application. Now I want to print that chart. I tried the simplest way- right clicked the chart and gave print. But it printed only a single page and the chart being a lengthy one, I could get only a part of it in the printed page.
Is there a better way to print business graphics?

Business Graphic UI Element - Major Ticks Property

Dear All,
We have a requirement to modify the existing Business Graphic UI element (Line Graph).
We are not able to increase the major ticks property of Business Graphic UI element to 21.
Are there any constraints on this property ?

Do you mean the properties of the ValueAxis-Line, Number = 21 and Major tick calculation = Manual ticks?
I do not see a restriction. Everything works fine.

I am interested to know more about Business Graphics Specially Chart types Columns and
Scatter type ( and Time Scatter). I am facing problem in producing X and Y Co-ordinate values for Charts. (Specially Date Values in X Axis.). I tried with Time Scatter type and need more documents.

Legend not appearing for Chart Type columns/bars in business graphics

Hi Experts,
I'm not able to make the legend appear in web dynpro screen.As such graphs is coming but the legends are not appearing at runtime. When i customize the graph using t-code 'BS_ANLY_CD' or right-click on business graphics, the legends are appearing in customizing preview but not in runtime.
Could anybody help me out in this issue?

You just need to add the label description for both the series then the legend will automatically come as shown below.

Business Graphics, intermixing chart types

Hi to all,
Has anyone tried to intermix chart types? Specifically, i'm trying to display a "column" type chart, but I would like to have a straight horizontal line through the chart indicating a key value or values. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stacked Column Chart with Line

Hi
I need to Create a Stacked Column Chart representing 1 set of measures with a Line representing a target.
I want to create a chart where the Sales Amount in different Sectors is represented as a stacked column and the targets are represenetd as a line.
Currently BO supports Bar charts with line.
Does anyone know if such a feature will be supported in the new release of BO XI. Also is it possible to raise a request for this feature to be included in the new release

We are also a 30 persons department (Marketing) using in the same BO charts (since 2001) quarters made of :
- first single column ( 2014 billing in a query1)
- second stacked column (2015 billing +2015 firm orders backlog, 2015 frame orders backlog in a query2)
- third single column (2016 backlog in a query3)
and a superposed budget line
the first and the third column are offset respectively to the left and right of the second column by blank and dummy single columns of data called ghost1 and ghost2. 2016 is still empty here but the principle is clear.
This principle is used liberally in 200 + different reports. Also with transparent columns and other complicated, but graphically intuitive reports.
How can we continue to use this very natural representation of our several hundred million $ business. I have not found the mixed single column, stack column and line option in BO XI 3.1 . Please re-develop one asap if necessary. SAP should please please report asap on the recovery timeline of this lost feature. The switch from Visual Basic development to Java development should not lead to regression of any feature.

Business Graphics: Speedometer chart: Change Maximum value on runtime

Hi Skilled,
We faced a little problem in our project. We use Business Graphics component and Speedometer chart on the View and we should change maximum value of the graphics on runtime.
I could easily change the maximum on design time in Chart Designer -> Axis -> Maximum Value, but I haven't found a way to change it on runtime.
Are there any known ways to change the value on runtime?

Hi,
by calling setDirectCustomizing you can provide customizing XML at runtime.
Create your own customizing XML where you define the maximum value and call this method.
You can also use the SAP Chart Designer from SDNs download area for creating the XML (just to get an idea how the XML has look like in your application).

Business Graphics in WebDynpro - bundle chart and data sheet

Hi experts,
I have a simple chart with stacked columns in a WD4A application.
At the bottom of the chart I'd like to display the values of each column.
I know that it works in ABAP reports (CL_CU_DATA_SHEET).
Does anybody know how to do the same in a WebDynpro?

I cheked all examples in WDR_TEST_EVENTS but couldn't find any that fits.
The class <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/de/70/8fa0375b5dd003e10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm">cl_cu_data_sheet</a> does exactly what I need, but only with SAP GUI.
I still hope that it will be possible to do the same in a WebDynpro.
