I am doing a course in Business Management and have been assigned to ask a few questions on management functions such as planning, organizing, controlling and leading in an analysis of workplace situations.

Interview questions
1) In your line of work, why is planning for a manager or supervisor important and give examples of plans you have done that was effective.
2) The connection between organizational structure and organizational control plays an important role. Why do you think businesses need to have these for it to become successful?
3) As a manager or supervisor, one of your jobs is to provide direction and leadership for a work unit. Describe how you have accomplished this in the past.
4) What are the three most important values you demonstrate as a leader? Describe a situation that demonstrates each of these leadership values in practice within your workplace.
5) Why does a business use system control (eg. planning, organizing, performance) and how important is it?
6) Please describe some of the system controls you use in your line of work that was effective in a way that made the business plans and goals achievable.

CRM only adds one user by default when you install it, and that is the user that ran the installer. Anyone else that tries to login will get this error until they are added. You will have to go to the settings area and add any new users that
need to login.
Are you on-premise or online?
What Version of CRM are you using?

Hello,
Suddenly the working CRM is being stopped for some group of users.
I drilled down to the issue and have checked that the users from Domain in which CRM is installed are having CRM access.
But for other domain user having problem to access CRM.
I tried to add a user from a domain which is not of CRM domain then it gives following error.
"Business Management Error: You are attempting to create a user with a domain logon that does not exist. Select another domain logon and try again.
<Message>LookupAccountNameW failed with error</Message> "
The change is made - AD group have upgraded Activer Directory server to 2012 R2
Please help as the Production CRM is not working for other domain user.

We have Activer Directory Structure like below.
One Root Domain says A
and there are multiple child domain like B,C,D etc...
B,C and D are all in same level,they are child of A domain.
There are two way transitive trusts between A and all the child Domain.
But there is no trust in between B and C and so on.
Our CRM server is in B domain and B domain's user can access CRM but users of Domain C,D and so on can not access CRM.

Thinking of upgrading my personal skype account to business manager account:
1) how to do that?
2] how will my skype number and annual unlimeted Europe charges change?

Leave your user account's alone!!!!!! All you need to move are the data files. What takes up a lot of space is music, photos & movies. If you move those libraries to your internal HD that will take care of things for you. Here are Apples instructions for moving them to external HD's however you can use your internal HD the same way.

Unicode ERP and non-unicode Dealer Business Management 5.00(DBM)

Hi All,
We are going to adapt SAP Dealer Business Management 5.00(DBM)industry-specific solution to our local(serbian)language.For this we need following install steps:
1.ERP ECC 5.0
2.DIMP ECC 5.0
3.DBM 5.0
Is it possible to proceeds on sach way because we have Unicode ERP ECC 5.0, but on other hand DBM 5.0 is non-unicod?
In case it is possible, please give me some ideas on it.

Hi Predrag,
How is DBM installed? In the same system as an add-on or a separate system? If it's an add-on, then they would have to have the same codepage. If it's in a separate system, then there are some possible data loss "issues" when the sending system is Unicode and the receiving system is non-Unicode. If the sending system sends a character that is not on the recieving system's codepage, the data is "garbage". There are no such problems with Unicode->Unicode and non-Unicode->Unicode communication.

Is Business Manager the best tool for our company?

I have a number of quesitons to answer to figure out if Busienss Manager is the best tool for our company. The ONLY reason we are pursuing changing from individual accounts is that Share Screen has been removed from some of our accounts with the latest Skype update.
Can we port existing Skype account names to Business Manager?
Will Skype contacts be kept?
Is 'Share Screen' part of Business Man.?
Is it east to add and delete user accounts in Business Manager?
What are the admin issues?
Can more than one person be the administrator? Is it easily transfered?
The Business Manager literature refers to credit allocation, tracking and reporting as a benefit of Business manager. Credit is not a concern for our company as we seldom use Skype to call phones. What are the other benefits of Skype business Manager?

Up until a few weeks ago I would certainly reccomend Skype, but my advice is for youy to look for another company.
Skype doesn't care about it's business customers, I and others have been trying to buy credits for week but the system is broken with no fix in sight, I was told it would be fixed by the end of the week, it hasn't been!!
Read for yourself then go look for another phone provider, Skype is not responsive to business customers!

For which release do you search training?
We in SAP Education have clasroom training IAU290 for DBM7.0 (however no fix scheduled dates are avaiable now, but only on customer request).
Additionally we have an online learning map (Online Knowledge Document - ODBM70).
Please find the courses on the curriculum map
The DBM 8.0 is in Ramp Up and special workshop is available for customers who are taking part in the Ramp Up process.

Online Number: Individual vs. Skype Business Manag...

I am the president of a small, non-profit professional organization who are experimenting with holding their board meetings via phone conference. I am wondering if it will be less expensive for me to get an online number as an individual or for me to get an online number through Skype business manager subscription.

IMHO. I think you need to determine if you would like a single method to fund Skype services to other Skype names you can create using the Business Manager as well as if you intend to share a Skype name with others.
Sadly, if you intend to share a Skype name, those that have the password for that Skype name, who maybe need it to answer calls from that Online Number, could change the password to that Skype name, if that Skype namecreated by the Business Manager was assigned the Online Number from the Business Manager in that case, the password can be easily reset.
That said. If that Skype name was not created by the Business Manager, an angry person having access to that Skype name and password, might change the password and then you maybe at their mercy to be able to answer calls from that "Online Number" assigned to that Skype name and/or access to other Skype services assigned to that Skype name. as well.
So, there are some security benefits as well as single source funding/payment benefits to consider one over the other based on what you might want and do now or in the future.

Using Outlook Business Manager but SQL will not start

When I start Outlook Business Manager it tells me that SQL is not running. I have followed all the procedures to try to restart it without success.
The SQL log is reporting the following

Skype for Business - Manage the .msi but not Users...

We are considering deploying Skype for Business across our large, international organization. Two questions:
Can we disable the File Transfer function in the .msi we push out to everyone? Our concern is data leakage of confidential information.
Our central IT shared services group wants to manage the configuration and deployment of the .msi but not be tasked with managing everyone's Skype accounts and billing/funding issues. Does Skype account creation and funding of those accounts remain with the individual Skype user when Skype for Business is used?

From your description above, did you use Lync 2013 basic version?
Please check if Windows 7 update to the latest version firstly.

Does anyone know of an all inclusive software package that will group all the requirements of a contracting company as well as an integration with our blackberries . I'm talking about something better than simply accounting or quick books . I've been pitched this type of thing by phone solicitors but I want to hear from someone who has used this type of software and can give an opinion that doesn't swing on the sale of that product.
I need : bookkeeping , material / inventory tracking , estimating , word processing { that is compatible with every one else's office } , and here is the kicker , something that we don't have to be a programmer to understand.

Are you talking a CRM? Check out BigContacts - google it.. Takes a little customizing. There are others - but BC is not too expensive and can sync to BB, 2.0 coming mid-year will have QuickBooks integration. No programming for sure, but you will need a sharp key member to get it set up for your specific situation.
BTW, CRM = Customer Relations Manager. BC is an "online CRM" so accessible anytime anyplace. Can be tied into a marketing campaign so customer contact is scheduled and automated.

The advice I give is one writes documents on a Mac while one reads documents and writes short notes on an iPad. The iPad is great for surfing the net and is more portable but will not do heavier tasks as well as a Mac such as creating and editing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. The data you create is more secure on a Mac; it has better storage and backup features. So for a read-mostly device the iPad work great but if you get into creating and editing documents then the iPad can fall short.
For a portable Mac consider a 3 lb. 13” MacBook Air or a 3.5 lb 13” Retina MacBook Pro. For your applications they have similar capabilities and similar portability. The non-Retina MacBook Pro weighs a lot more (4.5 lbs).

Skype for Business manager window popping up randomly after typing/clicking/working

Hello there,
I work for a national charity and we have recently upgraded our computers and employees to Skype for Business. My co-worker is having an issue where no matter what she's working on, after every few clicks or letters typed, the Skype for Business window pops up. I've looked in the Settings under each tab but I haven't found a solution. It's preventing us getting good work done for those afflicted with the disease we're fighting against, so I was hoping a good samaritan could help me on this community board in fixing the issue.

does anyone know if there is a way to actually speak to SKYPE? i would like to discuss different business options (I have spent 20 mins searching the website and internet for a contact us and resorted to this, much like google! ridiculous that you cannot speak to a human being !!!)
