Business scenarios where PO/GR/INV documents dates in past

Hi buddies,
Can someone please give me some business scenarios where we need to feed the PO/GR/INV document dates in past.
Regards,
Sachin Narvekar

Hi,
1. You can post an invoice to the last period of the previous year. The procedure is the same as for posting to the previous period.
You must note the following feature: If you post an invoice receipt before the goods receipt to the previous year, a balance results on the GR/IR clearing account. Since you cannot post a goods receipt to the previous year, this item cannot be cleared in the previous year. The open item is carried over into the current fiscal year as a balance carried forward; it can then be cleared by the goods receipt posting.
2. If the stock value shanges...
3. Price change...
4. Account Balancing ..in banking..
Hope it helps..

  • Posting Rented Services Business Scenario

    Hi,
    Scenario 1:
I have a business scenario where, we are using computers on rent & we also buy new computers for our personal use. Now, I want to track all computers (purchased & on rent) in my warehouse. I know that if any computer shows up in Inventory or Warehouses it is going to impact my Balance Sheet inventory account with both rented & owned computers. However, rented computers are not our own computers.
    I want to know:
    1. How shall I post for the expenses on rented computers. Whether this can be posted as service PO or Item PO. We are hiring 120 computers with an agreement for 2 years @ Rs 500 per computer per month.
    2. How to track my rented computers in different warehouses without effecting my Inventory ie. Balance Sheet
    3. After completion of the rent agreement how to show all the computers out of the system.
    *Scenario 2:*
In case of Service PO, how can we show that the service is received before the Accounts department raises the AP Invoice for the bills received for the services ?

    Hi Vickss........
You can manage this thing by having single Item Master but you should have Different two warehouse.
    1. For Rented
    2. For Owned
Set Manage Inventory and Item cost by Warehouse in Document Setting.
Now when you do transaction for rented computers dont involve cost or unit price.
And when you do transaction for owned computers do involve cost or unit price.
This way it won't affect your balance sheet and accounting will bemanaged properly......
You also get the track of inventory as per Owned and Rented computers in their respective warehouse.........
    1. You can receive the rented computer by Goods Receipt in inventory and raise Service PO.
    2. Answered in above statement You can manage this thing by having single Item Master but you should have Different two warehouse.
    1. For Rented
    2. For Owned
    3. Just do Goods Issue from rented warehouse without involving any value........

  • Real time bpm business scenarios

<b>could some one please clearly explain me real time business scenarios where BPM(XI) implemented, this would help me a lot for my interview preparation</b>.
    i really appreciate any help

    Hi Vijay,
BPM is mainly used in senarios where extra functionalities are to be done with the source message which cannot be done using the normal mapping and user-defined functions, like
->Collecting of messages till a certain count or for a specific criteria.
    ->Merging messages
    ->Spliting messages
->Processing of error files and sending to specific location and sending alerts.
->Parallel processing of two criterias at the same time can also be done using BPM.
    Hope this helps.

  • Real time scenarios where Web Dynpro is used

    Hi Experts,
I am a beginner with Web Dynpro (ABAP ), i have developed a couple of simple web dynpros for practice purpose. I would like to know the below things to get a better idea on the technology
    1. Can anyone who have worked on Web Dynpro share the real time applications which you worked on.(I am not expecting any technical details, i want to understand the scenarios in real world where this technology is used).
    2. If some one can link web dynpro's with CRM/SRM that would help me more.(Once again i need the business scenario)
    Thanks in advance.
    regard's
    Sudheer V

    Hi Sharath,
Thanks for your response, it was really a useful link. But once again they all talk about technical details but what i was looking for was business scenarios where web dynpro can be used effectively.
When i was searching for this i found one such scenario where web dynpro gets the quotation details from the CRM system and creates a sales order with reference to the quotation in the SAP R/3.
I was actually looking for scenarios like the above with some technical details for implementing the same.
Please let me know if you know scenarios something like the above one.Thanks.

  • B2B OCI - One Step Business Scenario

    Hello Experts,
I'm currently implementing an OCI "One Step Business" Scenario where our catalog is included in a customer's SRM system.
I would like to know which XCM and Shop Scenario is the most adapted for this case. Because "OCI" often refers to integrating a customer's catalog in our webshop which is not the case here.
Do you know a link which explains in details the different B2B shop scenarios? (HOM, Business on Behalf, etc.).
    Many thanks,

E-Commerce OCI "interface" can work two ways.
1 In the normal E-Commerce scenario, you are a "selling" organization. You are maintaining the product catalog external to the CRM system. Your customers can order products from this external Catalog in to the E-Commerce (ISA) cart and order. CRM E-Commerce application transfers items from this external catalog into its cart using OCI. In this scenario this is behaving as a OCI Client.
2 If you are doing what is called "One-Step-Business" using E-Commerce, then you are still a "selling" office and integrating your E-Commerce system to your customer's SRM (EBP) system. You are maintaining your Product Catalog in the CRM system. Your customer is large, do lot of business with you and they would like "_automatic_" integration of your E-Commerce system's catalog "directly" into their Buying system (SRM). In this scenario also, OCI comes into play and the existing OCI framework will "transform" the normal E-Commerce catalog into "OCI server" mode.
You are asking about scenario (2). In this scenario, the buying customer will start their purchase from their SRM system. When they want to buy a product from you, their SRM configuration will "launch and login into" your E-Commerce application and display the Catalog and Cart. Once they have selected their products from catalog and added to their basket, they can "Transfer" the contents to their SRM Purchase Order.
The transferred "order" will be stored in the CRM as a "Lean quotation". If you "fully" implement the one-step-business, you have to configure for Lean Quotation and as per SAP you may also need SAP-PI solution.
For scenario (2) there isn't any XCM configuration setting to do. However, the buying organization (your customer) will need your input to set their SRM hook to your webshop. If they also want additional attributes to be shared, then your customer will need to do some ABAP programming in the SRM system as well as some Java changes in your CRM Webshop.

  • New business scenario for reapir from customer and sending them to vendor.

    Hello team,
We have a scenario where we need to configure in the system -
We  recieve a material from my customer for repair. We need to send this to my vendor who will repair  it and send them back to Us. On this we  recieve revenue from the customer and pay i pay half amount my vendor for the service.
We are following above scenario in SAP as
    In the first step
The production team create a serviece order in IW31 for the material that need to send to the vendor, which was recieved from the customer. When service order is created in the back end a Purchase requisition is created.
In next step we  created a  PO w.r.f to the above PR and  we need to send this  to vendor on subcontracting so that we can track the material from him after the repair.
The problem is --- When PR is created automatically during serviece order creation (iw31) we are unable to create Po with Item category L (subcontracting) because PR is not created with L.We are even unable to change L in  PR since it is created automatically at the background. We ried to change the field at document type in spro. But no luck.
Pls let us know is there any other business process where we can handle this situation or any technical help to change the PR.
    Regards,
    L.chaitanya.

  • Business scenarios for daily, weekly and nightly loads!!

Can any body tell some Business scenarios for daily, weekly and nightly loads where we monitor the loads in Production support.
    Regards
    srikanth.ch

    Hi,
It all depends on your business needs. In general on daily basis you will load the SD and MM which will cover all the stock and sales done for day. Generally most of the clients use Lo Cockpit extraction for both the modules. FI chains will run on month end for example the AP(Accounts Payable),AR(Accounts Receivable) chains will be run on the month end.
Some SD datasources : 2lis_13_vdhdr, 2lis_13_vditm, 2lis_13_vdkon - all these to pull billing related data
    Some MM Datasource : 2lis_03_bx and 2lis_03_bf.

  • Variable declaration in BEx - Business scenario's

    Hi,
I need some documents about all kind of variable declaration with some example business scenarios in MM, FI-CO modules.
will assign you a reasonable points
    Regards,
    Pooja.S

    Hi Pooja,
The processing type of a variable may be varies from business requirement.
In general we will use the processing type:
Replacement Path : If you specify a variable as a characteristic value, you do not have to specify a text for the characteristic value right away. Instead, you can fill the text field dynamically and specifically for the characteristic that you use for the variable when you execute the query. To do this, define a text variable with automatic replacement.
Authorisations: If the user belongs to Asia PAciffic region and he must see only details of his region then we can create a variable Region vt Processing type Authorisations so that he vl able to see only that region's data.
SAP EXIT: If you want to define a query that only ever displays the data from the current month, drag the delivered variable “current month” (technical name 0CMONTH) for the characteristic “calendar year/month” (technical name 0CMONTH) into the query filter.
Customer Exit: You want to use one characteristic value to calculate a second characteristic value. The InfoProvider only contains the calendar day. However, you now also want to display the cumulated value for the relevant period (beginning with the first day of a quarter) in a query.
For the first day of the quarter, use a variable with customer exit processing. If you now enter the current calendar day (for example, 06/19/2000), a start date of 06/01/2000 appears in the customer exit, and the cumulated value of this period can be displayed.

    I hope this helps you.

  • Baseline Date as the Document Date

    Hi,
I have a query on Payment Terms which we maintain in the Posting Parameters->Postings Tab page in RE-FX Lease Out Contract.
I maintain a payment term for 10 days in the RE-FX Contract.
I have maintained a Condition which is due on 1st of every month with a monthly frequency.
When i simulate the contract for planned Cash Flow, it shows me the conditions which are due to be posted on 1st of every month. Now, here is a scenario wherein I am unable to post the conditions through Periodic Posting (RERAPP) on 1st and i eventually carry out the Posting on 16th of that month. Hence I maintain Document Date and Posting date in the T Code RERAPP (Periodic Posting) as 16th of that month.
Now when i open the Customer Line Items in FBL5N, i find that the Document Date and Posting date to be 16th whereas the Baseline date to be 1st of that month. This makes the calculation of Due Date totally wrong since the system takes 1st of that month as Baseline Date and adds Payment Term days (10 days) to it and shows 11th of that month as the Net due date (which instead should have been 26th of that month.
I tried changing the definition of Baseline Date in the Payment Terms definition to Document Date but it still did not bring the desired effect.
    Pankaj

    Hi,
I face similar problem but not involving TRM.
I've payment term set-up in OBB8 and stating default baseline date = document date.
But in FBL5N system is always retrieving posting date as baseline date. Is there any other setting prevailing over payment term definition?

    Baptiste

  • Document Date on Outgoing Payment/Statement Report PLD

    Hi,
Is there a way to display the Document Date of the paid/outstanding invoice on the print layout for Remittances (Outgoing Payment) and Customer Statement (Ageing - Customer Statement Report)? At the moment it's only the Posting Date for the Outgoing Payment and Posting Date + Due Date for the Statement Report but would be great to have the Document Date too.
    Regards,
    Nat

    Hi Natalia,
for adding the Document date to the Outgoing payments form you can add field via modification of the print layout. For example OVTG.Tax Date should represent the document date.
I would like to know what is the scenario for the document date to be visible on the Aging report.

  • SOAP TO RFC scenario (where the R/3 is not in same network)

    Dear Friends,
I am trying to configure a SOAP to RFC (syn).where my SAP R/3 system is in our network .And we dont have all the details for creating a BUSINESS SYSTEM. I tried with BS.but every time I am getting "FAILED TO CALL ADAPTER ENGINE Error ,,,witha no_receiver_aggrement clause".
but i have done the same scenario where the R/3 system is in the same network.
I would like know ,what are the pre-requites for confeguring such a scenarion. And please give a detailed idea...
where what is required and why........
    thanks,
    jeevan.

    Hai Raj,
    Thanks for your reply.
My admin says.....the particular IP has full permissions...
One more thing when i am trying to import the BAPI request.I am able to get the data from the remote SAP.
So i believe everything is fine  from NETWORK side.
And in the receiver RFC communication side I have seen just by changing the sap IP address to the public IP (Earlier the scenario was working fine with the local SAP system).
I doubt do I have to do in the SLD business system level.
    thanks,
    jeevan.
