Buttons in Microsoft Word disabled

I'm working with a MS wordcontainer integrated in the SAP IS-H/ISH-MED module and was wondering how to enable toolbar buttons in MS word when calling the wordcontainer. It seems that the toolbar buttons like 'SAVE' and 'PRINT PREVIEW' are enabled when working with MS Word 2007, but in MS Word 2003 they aren't. This might be something I can influence through ABAP but it also might have to do something with Visual Basic. Anyone any ideas?

Hi,
you must modify the word template which is linking in SAP.

  • No Create Adobe PDF button in Microsoft Word 2000

    Hi,
I recently purchased and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0 and am working my way through Adobe Acrobat Classroom in a Book. I've learned there should be a "Create Adobe PDF" button in Microsoft Word (and Excel, etc.), but there are none in mine. If I use the Adobe PDF printer, an untagged PDF will result.
I'm using Microsoft Word 2000; is that version too old to support the addition of a Create Adobe PDF button within the application? I've also recently installed Omnipage and buttons for that application installed in Word with no problems.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • Change value of option button (OLE object) in Microsoft Word file

    Hi guys,
I would like to convert a macro from VBA to AppleScript. Unfortunately, I'm the beginner of AppleScript and I don't know how to change value of an option button in Microsoft Word.
For example, I have an option button with 2 options (group name = question413) Yes and No. Now, I would like to open Word file, then change value of option button with group name "question413" to Yes. Below is my code in VBA.
    SetOptionButton "question413", "Yes"
Public Sub SetOptionButton(GroupName As String, Value As String)
    Dim oShape As Word.InlineShape
    For Each oShape In ActiveDocument.InlineShapes
    If oShape.OLEFormat.ProgID = "Forms.OptionButton.1" Then
    If oShape.OLEFormat.Object.GroupName = GroupName Then
    If oShape.OLEFormat.Object.Caption = Trim(Value) Then
    oShape.OLEFormat.Object.Value = True
    Else
    oShape.OLEFormat.Object.Value = False
    End If
    End If
    End If
    Next
    End Sub
How could I convert them to AppleScript?Any comments would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Having problems with my Microsoft Word 2011 for macbook

    Hello,
Every time I open up the Microsoft work 2011 on my macbook this error message keeps showing up.
"The Open XML file Normal.dotm cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents of file name might contain invalid characters (for example, \ /)."
And then right below it, it says: Details: No error detail available
So now my questions is why is it doing that? And can you please help me and tell me step by step on what I need to do.
Also is their a refresh button for Microsoft Word for a macbook?

You would be better served if you asked questions about Word for the Mac on a different forum:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macword
This forum is for PC based IT users and not too many PC users are familiar with the Mac. I happen to be one that is however.
George Summers has already suggested renaming your Normal template, but first I think you should remove any prior version of Office for the Mac (if there is one) that is on this machine. There are ways to have multiple versions of Office on the same machine,
but if you don't really need the prior version you should remove it.
Create a new user id on the machine and open Word from it. Hopefully you don't get the same error message. Then go to Word > Help and run the Check for Updates function until it tells you that your software is fully updated. Finish up by running the Disk
Utility app located in Applications/Utilities and Repair Permissions on your Primary Drive, which is usually Macintosh HD. Then restart your system.
Login under your user id and before starting anything use Finder>Go>Go to folder... and paste this string into the text box.
~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates and in there should be the Normal.dotm template. If it is not there look for it as George as pointed out from Word>Preferences>File Locations and remove it. It should be in
the User Templates folder and if it is in a different location this can be causing the problem, which can be fixed but for now, your objective should be to get Word running as Microsoft had expected to run.
When you are done with this, post your update on the Answers forum that I shared with you and mark this thread as closed.

  • Microsoft word bugging everytime I clik on the right button

    Hi,
I think it is since I have installed OS X Mountain lion on my macbook air that my microsoft word is freezing every time I click on the right button to access the scrolling menu. What can I do to fix this problem ?
Thanks a lot in advance !

You can check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • I'm on Windows XP, Firefox 3.6.25 and Microsoft Word v.7 for Windows 95. Is my old Word version preventing hyperlinking? I've found NO way to do it -- no toolbar link buttons, no hyperlink options when I right-click, or anything. Help?

    Windows XP
    Firefox 3.6.25
Microsoft Word v.7 for Windows 95

I had a similar problem trying to install Win7 x64 on my 2009 iMac. I finally copied the entire Boot Camp driver folder from the OS X installation DVD to Windows. Then I went to \drivers\bootcamp64.msi, right-clicked on it and selected Troubleshoot Compatibility. Windows chugged a bit and came up with a dialog that said Try Recommended Settings. Click on that, then Start Program. The Boot Camp installer now worked great.
    Give it a shot.

  • Is Acrobat Standard 10 incompatible with Windows Microsoft Word 2003, v 11.8?

An Acrobat Add-In has to be disabled for me to open a Word file.  If the Add-In is disabled I cannot create a .pdf.  The error dialog box attributes the problem to a runtime error due to program c:\program files\microsoft office\office11\winword exe.  An associated dialog box says that Runtime is shutting down Adobe Acrobat 10 early because the security is too high.  But putting Word Macro Security setting on medium and then on low doesn't help.  Nor does telling a Microsoft security box that Adobe.com is a trusted site.  I have spent critical hours trying to fix this, without result.  I would appreciate whatever help I can get.  I didn't have any trouble creating .pdf files with Acrobat 9.  Tks. DWI.

Word 2003 is compatible with the PDF Maker macro for Acrobat X Std. What OS are you running? Have you tried to load the PDF Maker macro manually?
    Exit all programs.
Select Tools > Customize, and click the Commands tab.
Click Tools in the Categories panel.
Drag COM Add-ins from the Commands panel to the Tools menu while holding down the mouse button. When the Tools menu displays the menu commands, drag COM Add-ins just below the Customize option, and then release the mouse button.
    Click Close.
Click COM Add-ins on the Tools menu.
Click Add, locate the add-in (the PDFMaker Add-in is at [Acrobat Installation Path]\PDFMaker\Office\PDFMOfficeAddIn.dll), and click OK.
Press Alt+F11 to start the Visual Basic Editor.
Press Ctrl+G to start the Immediate Window of Visual Basic Editor.
To start PDFMaker in Word, type Application.COMAddIns("PDFMaker.OfficeAddin").Connect = True. Close the Visual Basic Editor.
Verify that the Adobe PDF menu now appears to the right of Help on the Microsoft Word menu bar.
Also, renaming the global template file, Normal.dot, sometimes helps resolve the issue. There are instructions at the bottom of this article from Microsoft that explain how to do this.

  • Copying from Oracle SQL Developer to Microsoft Word doesn't retain formatting (Font, colors etc)

Copying from Oracle SQL Developer Worksheet doesn't retain formatting (font, color etc...)in Microsoft Word but copying from other programs such as
visual studio, chrome browser etc works fine. This doesn't work even after changed the setting to Keep Source formatting of Options-> Copy and Paste Settings

    Hi,
I notice that you have cross posted in Answers forum and Oracle forum. Have you tried Mr. Peter's suggestion?
Then, I recommend we check the Word settings:
    1. Go to: Options > Advanced > Cut, Copy and Paste
    2.  Make sure that Use smart cut and paste is ticked.
    3. Click the Settings button next to this option
    4. Make sure that Smart Style
    Behavior is checked.
If the issue still exists, please upload a sample through One Drive, I want to test.

  • I updated to Firefox 4, and now it won't open Word documents. It doesn't even give me an option to open or save. When I looked under Tools, Applications - Microsoft Word was not in the Content list. What can I do to restore automatic opening of Word?

Word opens fine in other browsers.
The web link, ending in doc, appears at the bottom of the page - but Firefox just stays on the original page.

Ok, when you go to the Content menu, you see a list of files which are set to open with a particular program by default.
To change the application, click the one which is assigned to it already and then from the dropdown menu which appears, click the bottom option called "Use Other".
This will open a menu where you'll see another set of apps you can use to open the file with. If Microsoft Word is not in the list, click the "Browse" button and then navigate to the folder containing Word.exe. I don't have it on my system, but I believe you'll find it in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Word

  • Microsoft Word-Table of Contents-Update Page Numbers

I am having trouble updating my page numbers within the Table of Contents in a Microsoft Word document. On a Windows machine, I would click to the left of the table and then click F9. On an Apple, that adjusts the brightness of the screen or modifies the screen if I accompany the F9 with the Apple or Function button. Does anyone know how to update the page numbers without creating a new Table of Contents?
    Lisa

In Mac OSX it is possible to change or create keyboard shortcuts for all applications as well as the system itself.
Go to +System Preferences > Keyboard and Mouse > Keyboard shortcuts+
Select the menu item for whatever application, in this case Dock, Exposé and Dashboard, click on the keyboard shortcut and change it to whatever you would like.
It will then work the next time you launch the application. If it is a menu item the name of the shortcut must match the menu name exactly.

  • My fonts that are installed in Font Book are not showing up in Microsoft Word. Can someone help me fix this problem?

    Hello!
I am needing some help. I own a Mac Book Air with OS X 10.7.5. This computer belongs to the school district I teach for, so I do not have permission to do a huge wipe that would uninstall programs such as Word. When I first got my computer, I added all my fonts. I did this by putting them into a fonts folder. The fonts were not all showing up in Microsoft Word, so I was told to use Font Book. All of my fonts show up and are installed in Font Book; however, they do not show up in Word. I have restarted my computer. All the fonts are validated. I have tried almost everything I could think of after researching answers online. Another problem--my bullet points are messed up. When I click the bullet button, instead of an open circle it's an open rectangle. This doesn't concern me as much, but I thought it might help as a clue as to what is wrong. The fonts also do not show up in the Format > Font box.
Also, I want to point out that my colleagues, using the exact same computer, network, etc, are able to download and use all the fonts. They have tried to fix mine, also.
Any help is much appreciated! Maybe there is some way to wipe out my fonts and start clean?
    Thanks so much!

There's a whole lot to read in your post, and frankly I have not read it all.
Having said that, this troubleshooting guide should help:

In particular, pay attention to the mobile device support sections near the bottom, assuming you have already done the items above it.

  • "error in the Microsoft Word previewer"

Is there an MS fix for "error in the Microsoft Word previewer"?  Can't open any Word document.

    Hi,
If you click the Microsoft Office Button or the File tab in Word and then click
    Open.
In the Open dialog box, you click Show the preview pane.
And you receive an error message: "This file can’t be previewed because of an error in the Microsoft Word previewer."
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Please use one of the following methods to work around this problem.
    Method 1
Preview the file in Windows Explorer.
    Method 2
Preview the file in a different Microsoft Office application. For example, to preview a Word file, use either Excel or PowerPoint.
