A GSM 3G iPad purchased in the US will not be locked to any carrier, so it will work anywhere. Make sure you don't inadvertently get the Verizon version which will work only with Verizon.

So do it. Restore your new iPad from the backup of the old one and sync with iTunes to transfer all of your media onto the device. If you don't use iTunes and use iCloud only, simply restore from the iCloud backup when you activate the new device.
You might want to delete your email accounts from the old iPad and depending on how you want to treat purchases on it, sign out of your Apple ID if you don't want them purchasing or at the very least restrict app purchases in the settings so that they can do nothing without your knowledge and approval.

Yes, as long as you purchase the GSM version (AT&T) and your Indonesian carrier supports an iPad with a micro-sim. Unlike the iPhone in the USA, the iPad is not locked to a carrier.

iPad 2 demand is so backed up, there are none for sale in the Apple Stores in the U.S. neither.
Then there was a explosion that took out the iPad plant in China...
Don't really concern yourself on getting your hands on one for quite some time, the demand in China where it's made and the US and Japan haven't been filled yet, likely won't reach your part of the world for quite some time more.
A option might be is to travel to Europe to get one, if and when the market is satisfied there that they have extras to sell.

is it getting easyer to buy in Ipad2 in New York or is it still impossible to get one?

From what I've read in these forums it's still quite difficult to find any iPad 2's in stock anywhere. Apparently, people are still forming lines in the mornings in some areas hoping to get a hold of any of the day's iPad shipment. There's no telling how long this iPad "drought" will last.

Buying ipad2 with wifi - question - with or without verizon 3g

What would be the advantage to buying the verizon 3g access with the ipad 2? Is it worth the extra money?

There are laptops with intergrated GPS - many of them. It's easy to add external GPS to non-intergrated models too. The iPad2 does have GPS built in.

If your notebook can be set up as an adhoc WiFi network or HotSpot you could use that instead of activating the plan on the iPad 2.

Store availability changes on a day-to-day basis... really no way to tell this far in advance.
When I've talked to sales people in Apple stores, I've been told that their top sellers are the 3G AT&T models, then the wi-fi only, and last of all the 3G Verizon model. I'm assuming a big part of the reason is people buying the 3G for overseas use ... so you may have trouble finding the model you like.
Also be aware that the US price does not include sales tax - which in New York City is 8.875%, I believe. Also, several people have reported that when they take their US bought iPads into an Apple Store for service in the UK, the serial number shows it as being bought in the US and they are required to pay the import duty and VAT. I'm not sure if the same is the case in Spain, but you might want to check it out, as the US-bought iPad could end up costing you more than you think.
