CAD model of GSM/WCDMA phone

Hi ppl,
I am doing a research as part of my diploma thesis on the effects of GSM/WCDMA RFR on the human body, especially the head.
I'd like to use real-life CAD models of phones in the simulation (instead of generic models) to better reflect real-life conditions, but of course I can't find them anywhere. I've tried to model the phone (N6120 classic) myself, but the |S11| and SWR parameters are far from being optimal
Does anyone know whom I should contact at Nokia to obtain these models? (one model would be plenty enough Also, any CAD format would do..
And I guess writing to Nokia support won't help in this matter.. someone please help..
Thanks to everyone in advance!

Hi Peter,
thanks for your  reply but I was not referring to ordering the phone from the US and apple.com.
In addition I do know the difference between GSM and CDMA and do not need to use google on this one.
My question is simple. From Apple.ie store I can order either Model A1586 (GSM) or Model A1586 (CDMA).
However nowhere in the online site it is specified how to select the GSM or the CDMA model.
Also having used the online support chat from Apple they claimed that both models support both CDMA and GSM which sounded strange.
So becuase I am going to pay approx 700 Euros, I would not want to end up with a phone that does not support the networks intended to use within Europe.

  • Model A1586 (GSM) vs Model A1586 (CDMA).

    Hi everybody,
I would like a clarification on Model A1586 (GSM) vs Model A1586 (CDMA). What is the difference and how can i specify that in the online order?
Does both models support both GSM and CDMA or not? I would like to use my phone to other EU countries so will my decision of GSM or CDMA affect coverage?
    Thanks

  • IPhone 6 Model A1586 (GSM)

How can I buy an unlocked iPhone 6 Model A1586 (GSM), online on the apple.com - delivery to be in USA?

Unlocked phones are not yet being sold in the US.
If you order a phone from apple.com, you must have a valid US credit card, billing address and mailing address. Warranty would also only be honored in the US and you may not get 4G/LTE service in any other country.

  • Can i use cdma for internet and gsm for phone at a time in Iphone4s?

Can i use cdma for internet and gsm for phone at a time in Iphone4s?

No. Phones sold by GSM carriers can't access CDMA at all and phones sold by CDMA carriers can only access GSM if they are a) unlocked and b) in an area where there is not CDMA.
    Best of luck.

  • USB sync cable different for CDMA and GSM version phones?

I recently ordered a USB sync cable for Iphone 4S from ebay. I want to know whether the USB sync cable for Iphone 4S is different for CDMA and GSM version phones? And if they are then what are the likely consequences if they are interchanged and used inadvertantly.

All recent iDevices use the same type of connector/cable.

  • Can't import CAD model into Robotics Simulation Model Builder (LV2012)

Ok, this is starting to get rather aggravating. I can't successfully import even the most basic CAD model I create (from Solidworks) into the Robotics Simulation Model Builder. I've tried several, ranging from a complex assembly to the most basic cylinder. I've tried .stl and .wrl files, and I always get the same result. It's an error saying that 'the converter cannot load the input file properly'.
Anyone have any ideas? I've reviewed quite a bit on the simulator and there's nothing specific (at least not that I've found) in regards to errors when loading CAD models. I know the acceptable file types (.ive? Really NI? I'd never even heard of OpenSceneGraph!), and I can load some parts from a shipping example, but nothing custom.
My goal here is to create a Stewart platform simulator, and the shipping example for same is where I got some of the original models I imported. Since I can't programmatically parse the XML file that is used in the shipping example (yeah, thanks for the bizarre schema, guys) in order to accurately determine joint end locations, I tried building my own model. No luck yet.
    Help!

    Ryan,
I understand that the direct import of .stl files isn't supported, I just tried it out of frustration, and only then because some of the shipping examples (OmniRobot, for example) make use of them. Attached are a screenshot of the cylinder model, the .wrl file (renamed to .txt in order to attach, just change the extension back) created from the cylinder model, and a screenshot of the error dialog.
You'll see that I have a material property applied to the cylinder, it's stainless steel. I've tried an even simpler cylinder with no material specified, same result.
    Thanks for trying to help.

  • Iphone 5 model A1429 gsm

Is the Iphone 5 model A1429 gsm, works in the Philippines?

I have model A1429 and has a sim slot and currently using it. The question is why is our model merged in cdma version. Hmm.

  • Can I buy Model A1429 (GSM model) in Canada?

In apple's announce, New iPhone has 3 models, A1428 (GSM model) , A1429 (GSM model) , A1429 (CDMA model) .
A1428 model can use LTE on band 4 and band 17.
But I hardly use iPhone in Canada, wherease I can use iPhone in other countries (ex. UK, Germany, Singapore...)
So I want to buy A1429 model in Canada.
Can I buy Model A1429 (GSM model) in Canada?

The answer is no you can not Canada's cellphone providers uses the A1428 model only not the A1429 CDMA/GSM used  in the United States unless you are a (sprint) or a (Verizon) subscriber.

  • What are the difference between Model A1586 (GSM)* and Model A1524 (GSM)* as shown in the apple website?

    Hi,
I would like to ask about some information on iPhone 6Plus
Can i know whats the difference on these two models between Model A1586 (GSM)* and Model A1524 (GSM)* as shown in the Malaysia apple website?
If its different, then the product which consumer wanted to select, will it be all the model same price in Malaysia?
    Thank you.
    Your sincerely,
    Nick

"why should Apple manufacture the 2 models as different models?"
Apple doesn't manufacture two models with the same model number.  The "1429" iPhone can utilze either the GSM or CDMA protocol, depending upon the carrier's system.  In the US, Apple offers an unlocked "1428" iPhone 5, for use on GSM networks.  I live in Bangkok, and Apple - and Premium Resellers - offer the "1429" iPhone, which can be used on either GSM or CDMA networks.

  • Importing 3d cad model

How do you export a 3D cad model into photoshop cs6 extended?

In 3D menu, do New 3D Layer From File. Also, you can load a 3D file via the 3D panel when the currently targeted layer is not a 3D layer. Screenshot below shows readable formats (although C4D requires a plug-in that's supplied with Cinema 4D).

  • Is the Iphone 5 model A1429 (CDMA) and model A1429 (GSM) the same phone?

Apple is inconsistent on their information for the iphone 5. One the LTE info site (http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/) it lists three different models, specifically showing that there is both a GSM and CDMA version of Model A1429.
However, on the iphone 5 shopping FAQs (http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone) it specifically says:
Can I use an iPhone when traveling internationally?
iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S are both world phones, so you can use them almost anywhere. Whether you are a GSM or CDMA network customer, you can roam on GSM networks in 200 countries around the world. iPhone 4 for AT&T can also roam on other GSM networks around the world. iPhone 4 for Sprint will work in approximately 40 countries and iPhone 4 for Verizon Wireless will work in approximately 45 countries that use CDMA technology. Availability of LTE data on iPhone 5 varies in some countries and depends on carrier support for certain LTE radio frequencies. Contact your wireless carrier for more information regarding international roaming policies and rates.
As you can read in the bolded type above, the CDMA version of the phone will be capable of using GSM networks. Does this mean, for example, that an iphone purchased in Australia (LTE band 3 with Telstra) will be usable in the US (Sprint and Verizon LTE bands).
What I'm most interested in is using LTE in the US on an Australia purchased phone.

Hmmm. I just ran GeekBench here in Sydney and it has identified my A1429 iPhone 5 as a CDMA version. Whatever, it is running fine on LTE on the Telstra network here.
Is this just a glitch in GeekBench or is Apple really using the Verizon A1429 version interchangeably with the GSM-only A1429 as the world-phone?

  • How to pick the iPhone 5 model (CDMA, GSM, ETC...) when buying it unlocked online?

    Hello,
I want to buy an unlocked iPhone 5 to be used with Virgin Mobile Canada. VMC uses CDMA network, and as some of you may know, iPhone 5 has 3 different models:
    GSM model A1428*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 4 and 17)
    CDMA model A1429*: CDMA EV-DO Rev. A and Rev. B (800, 1900, 2100 MHz); UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5, 13, 25)
    GSM model A1429*: UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz); LTE (Bands 1, 3, 5)
So the first one, Model A1428 would not work with VMC i guess, right?
That leaves me with the other 2 models. The second one works with CDMA and GSM and LTE, so If i get this model, it should work on CDMA networks (Virgin Mobile) and GSM too (eg. Rogers), right? And LTE would work on both networks, right? (also whats the difference between the LTE bands? like what does it mean?)
So Virgin Mobile itself supplies customers with the A1429 model right (and so does Bell)? While Rogers supplied the A1428 one, right?
Finally, how do i PICK which model to buy? I mean when i go on apple.ca and "Buy iPhone", it doesnt ask to pick a model, so how do i specify which one to buy?
Thank you all (btw, please dont pay attention to my weird username as I once used this forum before and entered the topic in the username field, and it doesnt really give an option to change it in my profile, haha)
    Thanks again!

But i actually asked them, and they said that its fine to bring my own iPhone. I'm looking into a prepaid plan (that come with some data), so it shouldnt make a difference, because theyre gonna activate the sim card and ill go from there with top ups (so basically they wont even know what phone i'm using).
So anyway i asked them, and they said its ok. but i then thought of the whole cdma thing

  • Which model (A1428 GSM, A1429 CDMA or A1429 GSM) of iPhone 5 is going to be sold in Apple Stores in USA, when unlocked iPhone 5 become available for purchase?

    Hi guys,
I live in Europe, but i have a relative who travels often in USA and i would like him to buy me an iPhone 5 as soon as it gets available unlocked in Apple Stores. The thing is that with 3 existing models of the iPhone 5 being sold since its release, i have no clue which model will be sold in the unlocked version of the phone in Apple Stores. I obviously need the A1429 GSM model since i live in Europe, but will it be available in Apple Stores in USA unlocked, or only the other models will be sold? Will there may be the option to choose whichever of the 3 you like? Do you guys have any information about it?
    Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, as a Veriizon subscriber, Verizon will not sell an unlocked iPhone.  They will only sell those locked to their network.
Apple does sell unlocked iPhones, but it is best to make arrangements ahead with the store you are going to buy from to be sure they have what you want on hand.
As I said, from what I have seen, the A1249 is not available in the US.

  • How do I find model number of Nokia phone?

New poster here. I have become the proud owner of an old (estimate 6 years) Nokia prepaid phone. How do I find its model number? Looking at the pictures of phones on the Nokia website, nothing jumps out at me. Was owned by a family member who recently passed away. No paperwork, not even how many minutes/time left on the prepaid card.
