Calendar properties

Salutations.
I have been having a great deal of frustration trying to get the MONTH, YEAR, and DATE out of the Calendar.
I used Calendar.InstanceOf().toString(), and the value was as follows:
"java.util.GregorianCalendar[time=1186520352230,areFieldsSet=true,areAllFieldsSet=true,lenient=true,zone=sun.util.calendar.ZoneInfo[id=\"America/New_York\",offset=-18000000,dstSavings=3600000,useDaylight=true,transitions=235,lastRule=java.util.SimpleTimeZone[id=America/New_York,offset=-18000000,dstSavings=3600000,useDaylight=true,startYear=0,startMode=3,startMonth=2,startDay=8,startDayOfWeek=1,startTime=7200000,startTimeMode=0,endMode=3,endMonth=10,endDay=1,endDayOfWeek=1,endTime=7200000,endTimeMode=0]],firstDayOfWeek=1,minimalDaysInFirstWeek=1,ERA=1,YEAR=2007,MONTH=7,WEEK_OF_YEAR=32,WEEK_OF_MONTH=2,DAY_OF_MONTH=7,DAY_OF_YEAR=219,DAY_OF_WEEK=3,DAY_OF_WEEK_IN_MONTH=1,AM_PM=1,HOUR=4,HOUR_OF_DAY=16,MINUTE=59,SECOND=12,MILLISECOND=230,ZONE_OFFSET=-18000000,DST_OFFSET=3600000]"
As you can see, the year is 2007, the month is 7, and the DAY_OF_MONTH is 7.
However, when I use the Calendar.MONTH or
Calendar.InstanceOf().Month I get: 2
For YEAR: 1
For Day: 5.
Any ideas?

the month is 7, andNot that it's relevant to your original question, but the numerical value of the month in a Calendar is not relevant. You don't care what that value is. Don't try to use those values directly.
However, when I use the Calendar.MONTH or
Calendar.InstanceOf().Month I get: 2Calendar.MONTH isn't the value of that Calendar's month. It's simply the constant that indicates that the month is the field you're interested in.

Sorry it isn't a software bug. Course of when calendar 6.3 create new user's calendar DB it will set timezone in calendar DB by timezone config in ics.conf file for the first time. After i edited ics.conf to change timezone parameter then delete user's calendar DB. It' fine now after new create.

  • Project Calendar Meta Data - How to identify the calendar and calendar properties via report builder 3.0

    Hi
I am trying to write a report (SQL Server 2012 Report Builder 3.0) that will project a list of Projects and the Project Calendar they are using. I thought this field would be visible in the default EpmProject_UserView - I've been through other views and
cannot see where this field is found.
Related to this query - I need to identify the defulat calendar working hours per project but again there is no obvious meta data field where this can be identified.
Currently the only option I do have is to manually check via MS Project App (2013)....

    Hi Brendan,
Project server reporting database doesn't contain the calendar info. The only supported way to use the PSI to read the calendar info from Published database.

  • Resource Calendar Properties

I need to make some calendars, all owned by one user, to appear to other users as if they were resource calendars. I have been successful in changing the calendar attributes for access, including those to prevent double booking. Having the resource icon would be nice, but not essential. The problem is that I need the calendar to be searchable by a more simple name than the default one that includes the user name. This is to allow the user to invite the resource to an event using a simple name for the calendar and for the user to be able to do this through the invite search box.
In case you are interested, I am using the Campus Pipeline portal which is integrated with the SunOne Calendar product. The reason that I don't want to just create a resource calendar is to leverage a built in calendar management option that allows group leaders to manage and delegate calendar management to group members. The only major problem is the long and ambiguous calendar names I have to work with. Some kind of simple alias might do the trick. I would appreciate any creative suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Darren

Found the solution.  Hope this helps someone else.  Thanks Paul Cunningham.

  • Problem Synching with Google Calendar

Having difficulty syching 8900 with Google calendar. Downloaded google synch to phone. When I check the Calendar Properties it show Wireless Synchroniztion as "No". It won't let me change this.. When I try to synch. I get the message that says"Login failed, due to network problems, please check your settings" Service is with Tmobile. Not sure which settings are not right.

The calendar options should say no. It will only say "yes" is if you're on a BES. I think I had that error when I first started using Google Sync a while ago. I think I just uninstalled and reinstalled the program after getting that error a few times and then I was able to log in and setup the program

  • "Find Form" calendar is not working after migration

    Hi,
We have migrated from Oracle 9i to 10g.we have one form ''FormA" and "find form" for that FormA.Calendar functionality is present in both FormA and "Find FormA".if we try to use calendar functionality in "Find formA",its giving error like FRM-40104 - No such block calendar,FRM-40105(unable to resolve reference to item claendar.cell1.........),FRM-41045 (cannot find item - invalid id).Actually this scenario is not working after migrating the FORMS application to 'OAS10.1.2' from 'OAS904' .
In 'OAS904' ,The calendar item is present in the 'FormA' form, the 'calendar.show' hides the "Find FormA" and appears in the FOrmA and uses FormA's calendar item and after selecting the date, the date s applied to the "Find FormA"
But after migration, the "Find FormA" is not hiding, so its not able to retrieve the calendar properties.Because the calendar is present in "FormA".
Any problem with pll files like 'qmslib65','qmsolb65',qmsevh65'??
please help me by providing suggestions.
    Thanks

qmslib65','qmsolb65',qmsevh65Are these libraries self-written or from some third-party tool?

  • Access shared calendars on exchange 2007

I'm trying to access shared Exchange calendars on my iphone and I cant see how to do this. Does anyone know how to do this?  If i require a 3rd party app to do this, can anyone recomend one please?
I can see the shared calendars on outlook 2010 and I would expect to see them in the calendar list on my iphone.
    Thanks

Thanks, russcus, you've brought me one step closer to figuring out how to use Snow Leopard and Exchange 2007 together. As we're on the topic here, I need to take a moment to voice why Apple's implementation is very disappointing.
Of your 3 suggestions, #1 should just be working out of the box. iCal should be able to see these calendars- Entourage can. As long as others in the organization have Calendar: Properties: Permissions: "default" set to "reviewer", they've granted read privileges to everyone else in the organization. Pulling up a view of another's calendar is as simple as "Open Other User's Folder", enter email address, verify, use. It's a rare and sad day when I wish Apple's software just worked as well as Microsoft's.
While #2 and #3 will work (I verified only #3), it's far more effort on the calendar owner's part. Everyone who might need calendar privileges must be managed separately, vs the wholesale organization-wide granting Entourage can do. This is a unneeded overhead that causes complication whenever staff changes.
Additionally, the scheduling assistant is less useful than in Entourage. In iCal, the availability of others is boiled down to only free or busy. In Entourage, a mouseover of an event in the Scheduling view provides event title and location data (as long as the event isn't flagged as private). My staff won't like loosing the ability to answer the question "exactly what is user X busy with at this time?" if we were to move to iCal.
If I'm misunderstanding something, please let me know. I'd prefer to not be right on these observations, as they're going to be problems in leaving Entourage for the Apple native suite of apps.
Regarding public folders- they are on Microsoft's list of discontinued features:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998911.aspx
I'm just speculating, but I doubt Apple put development efforts into supporting a feature that's on the way out.

  • User has no connection on shared calendar.

I've checked the countless threads on here that are related to this, but to no avail. Here's the issue.
I've got a user who accepts a shared calendar invite. When viewing the calendar, it shows up as "No connection." The user is otherwise able to view other calendars, send/receive mail, and other users can view the No connection calendar.
    No problem updates are installed.

    Hi,
Is the user able to view the shared calendar on OWA?
If the user is still not able to view the calendar on OWA, please check if the permission has been removed.
Let the owner right click on the calendar, Properties, Permissions, check if the user's name is listed. If not, re-gain the permission to the user.
If the user is able to view the calendar on OWA, try the following steps:
    1. While Outlook 2010 is running, hold down the CTRL key, right-click the Outlook icon in the notification area, and then select Test E-mail AutoConfiguration.
    2. Verify that the correct e-mail address is in the box next to E-mail Address.
    3. Clear the check boxes next to Use Guessmart and Secure Guessmart Authentication.
    4. On the Test E-mail AutoConfiguration page, verify that the check box next to Use AutoDiscover is selected, and then click the Test button.
    Any error?
We may fix it by reset autodiscover, refer to the link in which there's a user who had the same issue, you may find useful information:

  • Download ALL calendar items to Outlook

Hi, I need to keep all my calendar items off-line in Outlook (past and present). When I do a reset under Calendar Properties in Outlook it only downloads that current and future months. I'm not able to figure out how to get it to download past months. There are over 500 appointments, but it only downloads 174 (current month and future). Is there a paramter that needs to be set somewhere to do this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can change the colour of events on a per-calendar wide basis by clicking the "Calendar Properties" button then selecting the colour from the drop-down list. Thanks - that's what I was looking for.

This can happen after modifying the calendar properties and not reloading the application. Try reloading or restarting the application. This could also mean the Calendar.properties file has been moved, deleted, or become corrupted. A default properties file can be found at:
"Tomcat-install-dir"\webapps\"your-web-application"\WEB-INF\classes\defaultPropFile\. Copy this file to: "Tomcat-install-dir"\webapps\"your-web-application"\WEB-INF\classes\. Stop and restart the web server. From a browser, run "hostname"/"your-web-application"/src/setupCalendar.jsp.

  • No Free/busy information could be retrieved in outlook 2013

    I Microsoft,
Avionyx as a company has an account in Microsoft Exchage Online(365) from this side the calendar free/busy information works perfect via OWA.
Avionyx is facing an issue in office outlook 2013, we have office outlook 2007 and 2010 and the free/busy information always has worked fine, but when I setup the users in office outlook 2013 the calendar free/busy information starts working ok around 2
to 3 weeks, then out of the blue the free busy information stops working and I can not  do anything to fix it unless I remove the users and create it again since the beginning which is really annoying.  Is there an issue with this outlook is there
a way a can fix the free/busy information in office outlook 2013??

    Hi,
Please try reassigning the permission to the user, check if that would help:
    Calendar -> Properties -> Permissions
We suggest you choose Reviewer, but you can also try others.
If this is not the case, test in cleanfreebusy mode to check if the issue persists:
Press Win + R and type "outlook.exe /cleanfreebusy" in the blank box, then press Enter.
If the issue only occurs to one specific account, we may consider to delete that account mailbox on Exchange and create a new one (Backup user’s data whether in local machine or server site), then recreate the profile and setup the account on the Client
to test if the same issue persists:

I hope my suggestion is helpful.

  • Date Set from Member Property Value

I need to create a 6Month Date Set in the cube, however instead of using the long Month Name, there is a Short Month name in the hierarchy as a Member Property to the long name (see pic below, red arrow pointing at the property) but I'm struggling creating
the syntax for the Set.  I'm probably missing something small.  Appreciate the assistance.

    Hi Jdb09,
Accoring to your description, you are going to create a 6 Month date set in the cube using Short Month name, now what you want is that how to use this property to create the set, right?
Analysis Services exposes intrinsic properties on dimension members that you can include in a query to return additional data or metadata for use. So you can use the query like below.
    with member [measures].[a] as
    [Date].[Calendar].Properties( "Calendar Quarter" )
    select [measures].[a]
    on 0,
    [Date].[Calendar].[Month].members on 1
