Call a jsff page
Hi!!
I am using jdeveloper 11.1.2.1
I had an jspx page in which i had a button. If my user clicks the button than it should navigates to the jsff page

First thing you should have to remember if you are using jsff then you should have to use the task flow.
So First create the task flow and drag and drop the jsff page on the task flow as default activity.and drag and drop the task flow as region on the jspx page.
On click on the button just call the task flow .

I have a bounded task flow named welcomeTF.xml which calls another bounded task flow named LeadsTF. The LeadsTF bounded task flow contains 3 jsff pages(named lv.jsff, lv1.jsff, lv2.jsff).
WelcomeTF(Bounded TaskFlow)------------------------------------>LeadsTF(Bounded Task Flow).
When my user runs the jspx page the Welcome page(from WelcomeTF) renders which has 3 buttons (named Button1,Button2,Button3). These 3 buttons should call the LeadsTF Bounded task flow but with different jsff pages.
Button1 -------------------------------> LeadsTF(lv.jsff)
Button2 -------------------------------> LeadsTF(lv1.jsff)
Button3 -------------------------------> LeadsTF(lv2.jsff)
How can i achieve this? Please help me with the samples.

Prasad K T.You can define a TF parameter for the LeadsTF and use this parameter to route the navigation to either lv.jsff, lv1.jsff or lv2.jsff when entering this TF:
Add a TF parameter (e.g. call it "InitialTarget" and map it to #{pageFlowScope.initialTarget})
Add an ADF Router activity as a default activity in LeadsTF
Configure the router activity to navigate to the appropriate JSF fragment depending on the value of #{pageFlowScope.initalTarget}
Make the buttons in the parent TF set different values of the TF parameter when calling the LeadsTF

Calling a javascript on load of jsff page
I have a jsff page which is loaded as a taskflow from region.
i tried to call an alert function on load of jsff page as follows:

If it works fine i intent to call backing bean method from javascript later.
the alert is not being called in this case.

Unable to call taskflow from .jsff page

I have a taskflow with .jsff pages. When i am trying to call that taskflow from a .jsff page it is throwing the below exception. Needed the sloution ASAP.

Have you checked the configuration in the parent page PageDef file (the page that launches the popup)?

I am new to JDev and ADF. I have a application using ADF . I have created Jasper reports as well and trying to Integrate the Reports .
If i make a call to the Jasper Report with a small dummy application it works.
But if i do the same from within the application it doesn work.
Should we make a call to the Jasper Report from a jsf only? Or can v use a jsff page?.

You will probably need to post some code so we can see how you generate and display report.

I need to Add multiple addresses at a time.
I have a Address Table with 4 fields called address,street,city and state.
I want to show these 4 fields in view page and i filled data into text boxes ,and i have an add link in the page ,
if i click on add link i need to generate same above fields(address,street ,city,state)..like so on .
finally i have submit button ,on clicking submit button i need to commit all these rows into data base.
i think this can achieve through iterator in jspx, but still i have doubt ,how to increment an iterator clicking on add,
this is the way to do this functionality or any other way.please let me know.

By default all nodes expanded in tree table in jsff page in adf
Hi All,
I have a jsff page there is a table tree on it.I want it to be expanded on page load(or default behavior).
How will I achieve it.
This is to be noted that this jsff page so I can not use before phase or after phase.
There is a property in tree table which is expandAllEnabled it does not expand nodes of tree.
There is one more property in tree table which is Initially expanded it shows only first node of tree table expanded.

It means store the variable ps in pageflowscope variable calles expanedAllNodes and use the disclosed property of treetable.
example:

I dragged them to one jsf page
each task flow has 2 jsff pages
and each jsff page has its unique help page
in each jsff page i have button called "Show Help button"
these buttons will open help page depending on the jsff that contains the clicked button

How to call OAF standard page from form by passing parameters?
Hi,
I have a requirement where I need to call a standard OAF page from Oracle form, I was able to call the page through personalization, but I also want to pass a parameter to the OAF page and query the OAF page using that parameter, could anyone please help?
Note: Under the forms personalization I wrote the below code for parameters
Actions --> Parameters--> ='contractLineId='||:OKS_LINES.ID

My requirement was calling the OAF page from standard form (menu), below are the steps that I followed,
1) Get the OAF page function name
2) Personalize the form, by calling the OAF page function
a) Function Code: Give the OAF function code
b) Parameter: Here pass the parameters
example: ='contractLineId='||:OKS_LINES.ID
Note: If you are calling from a custom form you can also try using fnd_function.execute to call the OAF page

thanksOne problem is that you write into the output stream from an action method and don't know what's already in the output stream. Once there is one byte written to hte stream (which you can't know from inside the action method) the pdf stream does not behave as you think it would.
Next thing is that you use createRootApplicationModule but never release it. This will get you out of resources error eventually.
A better approach would be to put this code in a servlet and stream the report from there. In the servlet you have control over the output stream.

All you have to do is to exchange the part where I get and stream the image data to your needs.

a customer of mine asked me something really special.
He has a badge reader, so when a person pass its badge in the reader it must be triggered an event to call a JSP page.
The JSP page must contain some personal data of the person who used the badge on the reader.
Any idea ?

How to handle jquery and ajax call in single page application using coded ui
Hi,
I am facing a very tricky situation while using coded ui. My application interact with ajax and I was facing the issue to handle the ajax in the login page and other pages. and got solution for my problem. Now when ever a ajax is getting called in the page its getting handle with app config file. However the issue I am facing right now is.
When i click on a button a window will appear which is actually a "div tag". Please see the image below. In the that window when I have to select a item from drop down, the ajax will get called, however it will get called only for the window,
it wont be called for the entire page.. i.e. it will update only the window. I am not able to handle this ajax call, script gets stuck in refresh state. I will request you guys to provide a work around for it.
I would like to add more details - Visual studio version - 2013 update 3, IE11.
Application details: Its a single page application which uses bootstrap framework. All the ajax call are dynamic.

The window is not exactly a pop up window. Its a div tag in the same page. As this is my first time to work on a single page application I am not sure how it works. For the entire page I am able to handle the ajax call however the action performed
in the div tag is not getting handled.

I agree the point the UI has to be active or else the script will have issue during the playback. In my scenario I have to work on that window. I have to perform action on it. Now when the window(div thing) comes up the page in the background goes disable
till the action is performed on the window or the window is closed. I have to perform action on it then only I can proceed with the TC automation. Please let me know any option to solve this problem.

Text should be displayed in a single line in jsff page

I have several af:selectOneChoice components whose labels should be displayed in a single line .
the page has a left and right navigator panel. when i drag the navigators to the center , the scroll bar should be enabled and the texts (labels) of the various components in the jsff page should be displayed in a single line.
But , the text gets wrapped into multiple lines. PFA the screen shot and the code of the jsff pageHi Maddy,
for this issue you can use WAD 7.0. There you can set the numbers of columns and rows which are displayed easily within the analysis item. You can also determine if you want to have scroll bars or paging tabs (like in Query Designer).

Can I call a .htm page of view1 from another .htm page of view 2?

I have a viewset QuestionnaireTabVS with a view area TABS which has two views QuestionCondnsVS (default) and View QuestionRisksVS.
When a variable say GV_TAB is set as 'Questions' it navigates to the QuestionCondnsVS view and when the variable GV_TAB is set as 'Risks' it navigates to the QuestionnaireRisksVS.
This view set QuestionnaireTabVS is contained in an overview page which has two Radiobuttons. It works fine when the first radiobutton is selected, i.e, when I click on the Questions it renders the QuestionCondnsVS view and when I click on the Risks it renders me the QuestionRisksVS view .
Problem is when I had clicked the RISK tab first and then selected the another radiobutton the rendered view QuestionRisksVS doesnt get removed
but is present there by default which I dont want.I want the QuestionCondnsVS view to be present there by default after the second radiobutton is selected. I tried to refresh all the controllers but somehow it navigates to the QuestionRisksVS only .
So i thought to call the .htm page of QuestionCondnsVS forcefully from the QuestionnaireTabVS .htm page as soon as I select the another radiobutton.
Can I call a .htm page of QuestionCondnsVS from another .htm page of QuestionnaireTabVS? If yes then how or any other suggestion is welcomeHi Dharmakasi,
The Radiobuttons code is not added in the same HTML page but lies in a different component where the coding is on event handler.
