Call dropped by new incoming call

Quite often when I am in the middle of a Lync voice call a new incoming call comes in and causes the live call to be instantly dropped before the incoming call can be ignored.
This does not happen all the time but does happen several times per week and is very frustrating.
What could the issue be?

Hi,
Please check if there is any error message on Mediation Server when the issue happen again.
You can try to update Lync Server 2013 to the latest version and then test again.

  • My iphone 4 squeals when i make an outgoing call or answer an incoming call.  if i put it on spkr phone...the squealing stops

My iphone 4 squeals when i make an outgoing call or answer an incoming call thru the handset....if i switch to spkr...the squealing stops....any ideas??

I am having the same problem. Squeal with handset calls, no squeal with bluetooth in the car or on speaker phone. Some calls have no squeal, but then I can hear the person on the other end, but they cannot hear me. Has anyone come up with a solution? I am going to reset to factory settings and see if that helps.

  • Does OVI suite alert for the new incoming calls?

I know it alerts for the new incoming SMS, but not for calls. Am I right?
But why, the PC suite do it and this is important feature for me.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Same problem for me!!
I allways used an E52 with PC-Suite which showed me the incomming call notifications on my laptop.
Now with a new E6, I have to use OVI and there are no notifications anymore.Which is really annoying in a bussy office environment!
So please provide us with a solution, because I think you are losing a (unique selling point here).

  • SPA 2102 after RV082, Drops sending on incoming calls at random

Hi, I have read how it should be possible to have a SPA 2102 working together with a RV082 on this page
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9923/products_qanda_item09186a0080a365b1.shtml
Have followed how it should be configured. Opened ports on the RV082 router and configured the SPA2102 for static IP and enabled it to work with NAT.
The phone works however, kind of random it drops the incoming calls on my transmitting side. So if someone calls, randomly it seems, the other person can loose my transmitting side and not hearing me talk anymore, and I can hear "Hello? You still there?"If hang up and the person dials again, there is incoming signal, I lift the phone and it totally quiet, can't hear a thing.
Anyone has ideas what to do with this problem? They are both Linksys products, and as there are even instructions how to make them work together, it should be possible right?
By the way, I only use one of the Internet ports, don't use the second one. Have a direct Ethernet link for the Internet 100/10 so there is no DSL involved.
I could have them rigged up the other way around SPA2102 to RV082, but there are some issues then when it comes to port handling, and if I remember correct the SPA2102 is only 10/10.
    -settings-
I have set the SPA2102 as DMZ on my RV082 router.
Have forwarded port 3478, 5060-5080,5004,10000-20000,16384-16482 (this should proboly be obsolete)
Have set port 8 as it is conneted to as High.
Have set Firewall/Accesss Rules for this IP to be Priority 1 and allow all traffic.
Have included jpg screenshots of settings for my SPA2102.
    Any help would be appreciated.

If your forwarding all those ports to the device and it is still acting up.  I would try a factory reset of the spa2102 and reconfigur it.  Have you checked to see if you have the latest firmware on the spa2102.  If not upgrade that and reset the spa2102 and reconfigure it.  With it being in the dmz host section on the router, it should not have any issues.  The dmz host does not have any firewall rules or any blocked ports pertaining to it so it should be fine with no blocks.  Give that  a shot and lets us know.

  • I can call out but all incoming calls are going directly to VM with no signal that I missed a call or have VM. I can send/receive text messages from other iPhone/iPad/iTouch users, I am assuming this is really "iMessage." Is it apple software?

I have spent hours on the phone with Apple and AT&T. I went thought reset, on/off, etc, etc with both companies to no avail. Each company pointed fingers at the other....as being the source of the problem.
Problems: Suddenly ALL  incoming calls were going directly to VM with no signal I missed calls and/or had VM. I was also unable to receive all Text Messages...Oddly, I could send text messages to anyone (even non-apple users but I could not receive their responses)........then I when I got home I started receiving text messages from other apples users ONLY. I assume now - iMessage kicked in and I could text (send/receive)  other iPhone/iPad/iTouch users ONLY. ....yes, I could still (send) text messages to my husband's blackberry (he received my messages fine) but my phone would NOT receive his text respones.
Finally, I googled the problem and found this community where other people have had the exact same problems! One person said he "turned off 3 G" which was the solution for him....so I did the same and VIOLA! My problem  solved! Nevermind the fact that I pay for 3G and cannot use it....so here's my question, if 3G is the problem on my phone is this an APPLE issue or a NETWORK problem? Do I purchase a new phone and slip in my same SIM card and hope the same does not occur or do I get a whole new SIM card and phone? What is the long term resolution to this problem?
I am happy however to find that my problem is NOT an isolated incident and wish Apple or AT&T had told me this is not so uncommon because I thought (based on the baffled response from Apple) that this has never occurred before.  Where is Steve Jobs when we need him?

        jsavage9621,
It pains me to hear about your experience with the Home Phone Connect.  This device usually works seamlessly and is a great alternative to a landline phone.  It sounds like we've done our fair share of work on your account here.  I'm going to go ahead and send you a Private Message so that we can access your account and review any open tickets for you.  I look forward to speaking with you.

  • I can send calls from Mac but incoming calls do not show up on Mac.

Just downloaded Yosemite 10.10 on 10-21-14. I can make calls on my mac but unable to receive calls on my Mac. No notifications for incoming calls on my mac. Everything else runs fine. Messaging and calls from my mac works fine. I am running IOS 8.1 on a iPhone 4s. I have a 2009 Macbook Pro 2.54 duo with 8 gb of ram.

There is no Adobe printer in recent versions of Mac OS. Look instead for a Save As Adobe PDF pull down.

  • How to remove caller name id for incoming call?

When i get an incoming call, along with the ringtone the device also says the name if the caller.  How can i remove it and just have the ringtone and no name being called out.

Thank you for reaching out us. We understand the importance of being able to set phone up as wanted. From you are describing it sounds like your phone is in driving mode. Do you see a steering wheel picture in the top bar of your phone? If so then pull the top bar down and close out of it. When did this issue begin? If you do not see these characteristics please fill us in on when this issue began and what you were doing when it happened.
    Thank you,

  • Droid Charge - dropping service, no incoming calls, screen freezing, going black...

This is my 4th Droid Charge. I've never been so disappointed. Nor have I ever needed one to work more. Not a good time to have a phone that just plain is not up to par.
This replaced a Fascinate, that I did not have problems with until Verizon did some sort of "download" on.
Ph #1 - literally acted possessed. Until the manager saw for himself after treating me like a mental case. ie "Well, set the screen time out for TEN MINUTES, if the screen keeps going black!" So he did & it went black, not to be "restored" without being turned off & re-started. Then, when it did "time-out" suddenly it went into V-Cast...no one was near it. It also would go into airplane mode...I could not retrieve voice mail; after entering the 2nd of 4 #'s, the screen went black.
Finally, it got replaced after then entire staff "witnessed" the phone I had to live with day in & day out. Guess the customer is always wrong....until proven time & time again, that the phione REALLY IS defective despite years of never complaining about a phone.
Ph#2 - I NEED the voice dial....I do. I travel in my work  I have appts. If I am going to be late  NEED to be courteous & call. While driving on the freeway, getting off & stopping only makes things ten times worse.  While in the cup-holder, I can tap that....say who to call...and viola...BUT....it immediately says "Turn phone off" ...then try again. Well. how many times can you do that?? I mean really. How many times are you expected to turn your phone off for an app that comes installed ON the phone & should work. Right??
Ph#3 - Would NOT hold the signal...AND Voice Dial did not work.... did not back up info....messages did not come through, nor did phone calls. {even in the Verizon Store!! NO SIGNAL...they erased my phone for the umpteenth time!!! Grrrrrrr]
Ph #4 - arrived with YouTube loaded...to "How to Use Your Android Phone" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No kidding.
Screen locks up. Screen goes black & phone turns itrself off. Will not hold a signal...calls not coming through....
I saw others are also having these same issues. VERY frustrating trying to do "business" from a phone that is totally uncoopereative & unrealiable.
    Very disappointed in this phone.

Steve, if the tech says get a replacement then that is what I would do.
But before I did, I would have them walk me thru a hard reset.
Sometimes that will help with ALL sorts of problems.
    Godd luck!

  • NEW INCOMING CALL BLOCKING LIMIT is 100 NUMBERS !!!!!!???

it is for me , thanks verizon, its about time!!
    ÔƹÔ

fwiw, i can only block more than 10 numbers using pc interface, when i tried to block 11th number using fiostv menu, i got error about only blocking 10 number maximum....so i quickly got on puter to try and it works from here, so now we're up to 11 numbers blocked, certain to reach 100 by end of year......if fios being sold to frontier doesn't interfere with everything

  • Contact Caller Name identification when incoming call, central contacts list and short numbers

    Hi,
    I have a New CUCM + CUC + CUP
I'd like know whas is the best way to do this:
I want to createa list of central contacts (for all my extensions), and assign to this contacts its telefhone number (9-12 digits) and a short number of 4 digits.
I want make a call to my contacts using this 4 digits (short number)
After I have saved this contact in the ContactList,,   I whant that a internal user, using the contact list of the internal cisco phone can search and call the contact I have created, searching by name (or surname). I  want that the user could make a call using short number or searching contact.
Finally, the most important, I need that when that external contact makes a call, the cisco phone ringing shows the name or surname of the contact (not the telephone number)  I need to know who is calling (it it is in my contacts)
    Thank you!
    Carlos Moreno

You say you have CUPS, so that means you can only go as far as 8.x versions.
You can configure E164 to the DNs, and use TPs to use short dialing.
You would need to add the users and all the info to your directory, either manually, or in your LDAP if LDAP integrated.
The last bit cannot be done without a 3rd party, we don't have phone to name/contact resolution.

  • Incoming Calls Not Working, Spotty Service

I've been having a issue with my Verizon landline (copper) service for several weeks now. Basically, outgoing calls work fine, but incoming calls are very spotty. Sometimes calls come through as normal, but most of the time the caller will hear one ring then silence, or no rings at all. In any of these circumstances, I can pick up the phone while it is "ringing" and the call connects. When there is a problem, calls do not go to voicemail.
I did the *73 business to deactive call fowarding, but that did not do anything.
I have tried every combination of having devices (DSL modem, cordless phone, corded phone) plugged in or not, but nothing seems to fix the situation. I cannot replicate the situation given a certain set of circumstances, i.e. the porblem exists no matter what combination of devices I have plugged in. It is completely random; a call from my cell phone will connect fine, but if I try 30 seconds later, it doesn't work. Even if no devices are plugged in, I still have the same issue!
I called Verizon, who ran numerous tests, and said everything was fine on their end. Naturally, they offered to send someone to my place for some insane fee; since I rent I obviously would not let them come to fix my lines -- that's my landlord's job. I can have them look at it, but I don't think it will really make a difference.
Oh, and I'm not the only one having this problem:
    http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Home-Phone-Landline-or-Digital/Home-Phone-is-not-working/td-p/163581
    http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Home-Phone-Landline-or-Digital/flaky-incoming-calls-no-rings-sometimes/...

    http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Home-Phone-Landline-or-Digital/Phone-can-call-out-but-cannot-receive-ge...
At this point, I'm sick of dealing wtih this issue. I felt like I got the brush-off from Verizon, who does not seems to care of their copper infrastructure any longer, but is only interested in FiOS customers. I am seriously considering just dropping my landline service entirely, and getting Internet-only from either Verizon (if that's possible, they say I can get FiOS in my apartment, although I don't see how that's possible) or Comcast. I really like having a landline and would not mind paying for decent service, but this rapidly becoming not worth it.

can you please collect debug voice ccapi inout as well?
does the outbound call work through the same gateway?
