  • Retrieving Image from IXOS server

    Hi,
    We want to retrieve an image from the IXOS server, convert it from IXOS format to JPEG,GIF format, and store it on the R/3 server for later use.
    Are there any function modules, class methods etc. to achieve this?
    Regards,
    Saurabh

    The link between R/3 and the IXOS server document should be contained in table toa01.  Once you locate the link to the document you can use function module ARCHIVOBJECT_GET_DT_VIA_TABLE to retrieve the archived document and do what ever you want.  There are a number of function modules that can be helpful in working with archived documents.  Just do a search in SE37 for ARCHIVE and you will find several.
    Hope this helps.

  • CALLING A IMAGE FROM A LOCATION OF SERVER

    Hello to all,i have 2 doubts:
    1ª) try to do this by creating a dummy image and then i format picture and put url{var} where var is in xml element and contains the path of the picture but doesnt work. i'm doing something wrong?
    2º) sometimes i want to call an image without the dummy because i'm limited to the size of the dummy image and if i have pictures in vertical and other in horizontal the aspect isnt quite good. i have a xsl command that i can call an image from a location (contained in a xml element )and resize it at runtime?
    Thank's in advance

    For 1a) what is the code that you are using? Have you followed the process like this blog post: http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2006/05/dynamic_images.html
    Thanks!

  • Calling a delegate on the UI thread from a work thread inside a child class.

    Hi All,
    I've run into a snag developing a WPF multithreaded app where I need to call a method on the UI thread from my work thread, where the work thread is running a different class.
    Currently I am trying to use a delegate and an event in the 2nd class to call a method in the 1st class on the UI thread. This so far is not working as because the 2nd class is running in its own thread, it causes a runtime error when attempting to call
    the event.
    I've seen lots of solutions referring to using the dispatcher to solve this by invoking the code, however my work thread is running a different class than my UI thread, so it seems the dispatcher is not available?
    Below is as simplified an example as I can make of what I am trying to achieve. Currently the below code results in a "The calling thread cannot access this object because a different thread owns it." exception at runtime.
    The XAML side of this just produces a button connected to startThread2_Click() and a label which is then intended to be updated by the 2nd thread calling the updateLabelThreaded() function in the first thread when the button is clicked.

    using System.Windows.Data;
    using System.Windows.Documents;

    public delegate void runInParent();
    public partial class MainWindow : Window
    public MainWindow()
    InitializeComponent();
    threadUpdateLabel.Content = "Thread 1";
    private void startThread2_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
    thread2Class _Thread2 = new thread2Class();
    _Thread2.runInParentEvent += new runInParent(updateLabelThreaded);
    Thread thread = new Thread(new ThreadStart(_Thread2.threadedTestFunction));
    thread.Start();
    public void updateLabelThreaded()
    threadUpdateLabel.Content = "Thread 2 called me!";
    public class thread2Class
    public event runInParent runInParentEvent;
    public void threadedTestFunction()
    if (runInParentEvent != null)
    runInParentEvent();
    I'm unfortunately not very experienced with c# so I may well be going the complete wrong way about what I'm trying to do. In the larger application I am writing, fundamentally I just need to be able to call a codeblock in the UI thread when I'm in a different
    class on another thread (I am updating many different items on the UI thread when the work thread has performed certain steps, so ideally I want to keep as much UI code as possible out of the work thread. The work threads logic is also rather complicated as
    I am working with both a webAPI and a MySQL server, so keeping it all in its own class would be ideal)
    If a more thorough explanation of what I am trying to achieve would help please let me know.
    Any help with either solving the above problem, or suggestions for alternative ways I could get the class in the UI thread to do something when prompted by the 2nd class in the 2nd thread would be appreciated.
    Thanks :)

    If I follow the explanation, I think you can use MVVM Light messenger.
    You can install it using NuGet.
    Search on mvvm light libraries only.
    You right click solution in solution explorer and choose manage nugget...
    So long as you're not accessing ui stuff on these other threads.
    using GalaSoft.MvvmLight.Messaging;
    namespace wpf_Tester
    /// <summary>
    /// Interaction logic for MainWindow.xaml
    /// </summary>
    public partial class MainWindow : Window
    public MainWindow()
    InitializeComponent();
    Messenger.Default.Register<String>(this, (action) => ReceiveString(action));
    private void ReceiveString(string msg)
    MessageBox.Show(msg);
    Dispatcher.BeginInvoke((Action)delegate()
    tb.Text = msg;
    private void Button_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
    Task.Factory.StartNew(() => {
    Messenger.Default.Send<String>("Hello World");
    What the above does is start up a new thread - that startnew does that.
    It sends of message of type string which the main window has subscribed to....it gets that and puts up a message box.
    The message is sent from the window to the window in that but this will work across any classes in a solution.
    Note that the receive acts on whichever thread the message is sent from.
    I would usually be altering properties of a viewmodel with such code which have no thread affinity.
    If you're then going to directly access properties of ui elements then you need to use Dispatcher.BeginInvoke to get back to the UI thread.
    I do that with an anonymous action in that bit of code but you can call a method or whatever instead if your logic is more complicated or you need it to be re-usable.

    Hope that helps.

  • Is it possible to call a VI that is inside a LabVIEW executable from a TestStand sequence?

    I have created a custom TestStand operator interface and have modified the default sequential process model to display a UUT information dialog that prompts for more information than just the UUT serial number.  This UUT information dialog is a LabVIEW VI.  To distribute the operator interface, I build it into an executable.  As part of the build process, I make a copy of the UUT information dialog VI (which is part of my operator interface project) and place it in the same folder as the executable.  I have then configured the sequential process model to call the dialog VI from this location.  It would be really nice if I could embed the UUT information dialog VI inside the operator interface executable so that I could distribute just an executable instead of an executable and separate VIs.  Is this possible?  In other words, is it possible to call a VI that is inside a LabVIEW executable from a TestStand sequence just like a standard LabVIEW VI call?

    Ryan,
    The dialog that you've created isn't being directly called by the OI at all and shouldn't need to be included in the same directory as the OI for distribution. Since you are modifying the PreUUT of the default process model, you will give the path to the VI in that step, create a deployment and then manually copy the VI to the directory referenced in the step. The VI is considered a support file for the process model and is not related to the OI at all.

  • Call a function inside a package from a stored procedure

    Hello:
    I am kind of new to the stored procedure. Does anyone know how to call a function inside a package from another stored procedure?
    I have a existing function (func_b) inside a package (pack_a) and it returns a cursor. I want to call this function from a stored procedure (proc_c) so that I use the data inside the cursor.
    can I do the following in proc_c:
    my_cursor1 SYS_REFCURSOR;
    begin
    my_cursor1 := exec pack_a.func_b
    end
    It will be very helpful if anyone can point me to any reading or example. Thank you very much for your information.

    guys:
    Thank you for your information so far. I need some more help here. I was able to run the function in my stored procedure. However, I was not able to print the result on the screen to view the cursor result, although I am using dbms_output.put_line statement inside my stored procedure.

  • Calling a Breadcrumb image inside a Table view column

    Hi
    I want a sample code to call any bread crumb related image inside a table view column.
    Please help with a code snippet.

    I mean that, inside the iterator class of the tableView, write this code in the RENDER_CELL_START method.
    method IF_HTMLB_TABLEVIEW_ITERATOR~RENDER_CELL_START.
      CASE p_column_key.
        WHEN 'ICON'.
    p_replacement_bee = CL_HTMLB_IMAGE=>FACTORY(       id        = p_cell_id                              src      = '@3J@'  ).
        ENDCASE.
    Inside the method, GET_COLUMN_DEFINITIONS you need to append a column for icon, see the code below:
    APPEND INITIAL LINE TO p_column_definitions ASSIGNING <def>.
        <def>-COLUMNNAME = 'ICON'.
        <def>-TITLE      = 'Display Icon'.
    For more info you can refer to weblog on HTMLB TableView Iterator by Brian.

  • Loading images inside applet JAR

    Hi
    This is my issue: I have an applet which contains images inside the applet JAR. I want to display these images in my applet, but apparently due to browser access restrictions, I'm not allowed.
    My first code was like this:
    //security restrictions on browsers do not allow getResource
    ImageIO.read(MyClass.class.getResource("imgs/img.png"));
    //getResourceAsStream should be allowed by browsers
    ImageIO.read(MyClass.class.getResourceAsStream("imgs/img.png"));Both lines work when I execute the applet locally (command line / programming IDE), but when I deploy it to my web server, the resource "imgs/img.png" becomes a relative URL to my web application context (like /webcontext/MyClass/imgs/img.png). It works locally because the call to getResource returns a URL object with "file:" protocol, but I need it to look for my images bundled inside the JAR, not web hosted images.
    I need to avoid making the applet look for these images as a web resource... how can I do it?
    Thanks!

    I'm not convinced the code you posted wouldn't work, but since this is an applet, you have access to the Applet class. Check out the Applet.getImage method in conjunction with Applet.getCodeBase.
    [http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/applet/Applet.html]
    getCodeBase returns my web context, like http://myhost.com/mycontext/ , so it is pretty much the same as above.
    Thanks for your replyThat is the way to load resources though. Hence back to my earlier statement about not being convinced it would not work, with this addition: It should work, assuming you actually do have the resources properly located with the web app, whether they be in a jar, or loose files relative to where the web app is. My guess at this point is that they are not.

    1) If you are using autonomous transactions for anything other that writing log data that you want to preserve even if the triggering transaction fails, you're probably doing something wrong. There is no reason to use an autonomous transaction here.
    2) You don't want to send email from a trigger. You don't want to do anything non-transactional in a trigger. Oracle will, for example, rollback and re-execute parts of a statement for write consistency. If you send email in a trigger, you may get multiple emails for a single update. You may also get emails for updates that were never committed. And if the email server happens to be down, your transactions will fail.
    3) If you use an autonomous transaction, the trigger will have a completely different transaction context from the parent. So when you query the table within the trigger, you won't be able to see any of the uncommitted changes including the changes that caused the trigger to fire. My guess is that you are assuming that the row that you inserted is visible to the trigger.

  • Call ADF applications inside EBS.

    We are in the process of implementing couple of ADF applications with EBS security realm. I created a simple test app with a simple page and trying to use the EBS JAAS authentication, but its not authorizing for the pages. It looks like its authenticating fine.
    HEre are our Server configuration.
    Webloogic version - 10.3.6.0
    JDeveloper Version - 11.1.2.1
    Middleware version : 11.1.1.5 + interim patches
    p12917525_111150_Generic.zip
    p12979653_111150_Generic.zip
    The security model works fine in the Jdev Integrated WLS.
    I went through serveral documents including Oracle document E28169-01 (note 974949.1). We don't want to call ADF applications inside EBS. Basically we just want to use the EBS Authentication and Authorization for our ADF applications.
    As I mentioned earlier, its definitely authenticating my credentials, but its not authoring the page.

    User,
    I've done something like what Timo describes. We have deployed an application that exposes links to an external BI server to serve up reports/Discoverer workbooks. The URL is obviously different for dev/test/prod - so, what we did was to have a configuration table in the DB that defines such type of configuration parameters. We then have an application-scoped managed bean that sources its attributes from the database table and we refer to that managed bean using EL to construct the URLs. I didn't use web.xml/properties files for this because I wanted to have an EAR deployment artifact that could be deployed to any environment with no change.

  • Calling Oracle Report InSide Web Service Method

    Is there way to call oracle reports inside one of my web service method.
    If yes kindly let me know how we can do this and some documents related to this.
    Thanks
    Robert

    Oracle reports does have a Web API when reports are run from the application server. As a result one way to do what you are asking is to write a Web service that use java.net.URL to invoke the Reports Service Web interface:
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/docs/A92102_01/pbr_run.htm#1005598
    As I understand it, this interface itself is actually being exposed as a Web service in a future release of Oracle9iAS Reports ... I don't know if this is a Oracle9iAS Reports 9.0.4 feature or beyond that. You might try asking on the Reports forum:

    From the documentation:
    URL Reference
    1.Insert a dummy image in your template.
    2.In Microsoft Word's Format Picture dialog box select the Web tab. Enter the following syntax in the Alternative text region to reference the image URL:
    url:{'http://image location'}
    For example, enter: url:{'http://www.oracle.com/images/ora_log.gif'}
    Element Reference from XML File
    1.Insert a dummy image in your template.
    2.In Microsoft Word's Format Picture dialog box select the Web tab. Enter the following syntax in the Alternative text region to reference the image URL:
    url:{IMAGE_LOCATION}
    where IMAGE_LOCATION is an element from your XML file that holds the full URL to the image.
    You can also build a URL based on multiple elements at runtime. Just use the concat function to build the URL string. For example:
    url:{concat(SERVER,'/',IMAGE_DIR,'/',IMAGE_FILE)}
    where SERVER, IMAGE_DIR, and IMAGE_FILE are element names from your XML file that hold the values to construct the URL.
    This method can also be used with the OA_MEDIA reference as follows:
    url:{concat('${OA_MEDIA}','/',IMAGE_FILE)}

  • Capture an image using the web camera from a web application

    Hi All,
    Could anyone please share the steps what have to be followed for capture an image using the web camera from a web application.
    I have a similar requirement like this,
    1) Detect the Webcam on the users machine from the web application.(To be more clear when the user clicks on 'Add Photo' tool from the web application)
    2) When the user confirms to save, save the Image in users machine at some temporary location with some unique file name.
    3) Upload the Image to the server from the temporary location.
    Please share the details like, what can be used and how it can be used etc...
    Thanks,
    Suman

    1) Detect the Webcam on the users machine from the web application.(To be more clear when the user clicks on 'Add Photo' tool from the web application)There's not really any good way to do this with JMF. You'd have to somehow create a JMF web-start application that will install the native JMF binaries, and then kick off the capture device scanning code from the application, and then scan through the list of devices found to get the MediaLocator of the web cam.
    2) When the user confirms to save, save the Image in users machine at some temporary location with some unique file name.You'd probably be displaying a "preview" window and then you'd just want to capture the image. There are a handful of ways you could capture the image, but it really depends on your situation.
    3) Upload the Image to the server from the temporary location.You can find out how to do this on google.
    All things told, this application is probably more suited to be a FMJ (Freedom for Media in Java) application than a JMF application. JMF relies on native code to capture from the web cams, whereas FMJ does not.
    Alternately, you might want to look into Adobe Flex for this particular application.
