Calling another project

I am calling another project from within a project. This
works fine, but what I want to do is call the second proejct, run
it, and then when it finishes continue with the orginal project, at
the point where I called the second one. That is, play screens 1-5,
give the option to run the second project, if the user runs it,
then return to the original project starting with screen 6.
I don't see an option for what to do at the end of the second
project to do this (Stop project, Loop project etc.). Or can it be
done? Thanks.

Hi bobelmore
One thing you might be able to do is to launch the second
project in a new browser instance. Your user would then close the
browser, at which point they would return to the movie they were in
to begin with. The original movie would not continue until they
returned and clicked a button. To do this, insert a click box or
button that would call the second project. Note that to the right
of where you specify the project is a down arrow. Click that and
you can select "New" to open in a new window. Click a second time
and you can DE-select "Continue playing project" (or "Continue
playing movie" if you are using Captivate 1)
Hope this helps a smidge... Rick

  • JDeveloper - ADF Faces projects - calling a jspx from another project

    I have an ADF Faces project which has a jspx file and a backing bean. The jspx file is called 1.jspx and the backing bean is called 1.java. Navigation within the page and outside of the page is controlled by the faces-config.xml.
    However, I want to be able to navigate to another jspx in another project. Let's call this jpx, 2.jspx. How would I be able to make this call without losing the current context in my first project? Please note I do not want to have to copy the 2.jspx and 2.java files into my current project.
    Thanks
    Chris

    Hi,
    according to the JavaEE specs, a J2EE context demarks the scope of a session, which means that as soon as you call out to another application, you start a new session, loosing all the information of the other session. So if you don't want to deploy this all in one application, then you have to find a way of persisting context information (e.g. using a shared database instance)

  • How to call a Jclient form from another project?

    In my workspace, there are three projects. One is for business components. The other two are Jclient forms applications. Can I open a Jclient form from another Jclient form in another project?
    I used to create multi_form accounting application using Oracle Form Builder in which I can call a form from another form.

    Just set one project to be dependant on another in the project settings dialog of the former. This should work.

  • How to call a process from another project

    Hi;
    How to calling a process from another process in another project? Which activity that i need or web service, direct binding? I use 11g

    Hi Tulasi ;
    I have wsdl of the process i need to call. Also wsdl address on the server. But CALL activity can't use to service call. CALL activity can use only to reusable process call.
    I think, this operation must make on composite.xml. But I have a same problem with this method and it don't work.
    I create a base process that looking at below. It's include a direct binding. Is it include a direct binding?
    [Base Process|http://d1201.hizliresim.com/t/s/21wqu.png]
    Then i create a process that call to base process:
    [Caller Process|http://d1201.hizliresim.com/t/s/21wqx.png]
    I paste to base process' wsdl address on the server. Then i select port type (BaseProcessPortType) and a warning has occured that you see the picture above. Base Process contain Oracle SOA Composite Type. What's the wrong? It happened for Callback Port Type.
    And second question is what's the Address? (under Reference Binding Setails option).
    I think, i create the this direct binding correctly, i call to base process into my caller process via service activities.

  • Want to open another project from Quiz Results - can't get it to work.

    I have been trying to get my course to open another project (an instruction slide) after the user completes a quiz and it is not working. The course always closes after the quiz results. I have set the Project End Options and the Pass or Fail options to all open another project (the instruction slide), but instead, after the user clicks 'Continue' on the quiz results page, the course always closes. What could I be missing? (Am using Captivate 5.)

    Just finally getting my head above water and am able to respond and update. Yes, I was using a tool called RELOAD to update the imsmanifest file. Actually a great tool that I can recommend now that I worked out the kinks with Captivate. Please see this post for more information. http://www.caddicks.com/blog/2012/02/17/how-to-publish-a-multi-file-captivate-project-as-a -single-scorm-course/#comment-249711
    Here's a quick summary of how I ended up resolving this - I can't even remember all the different options I tried until I settled on this! I never resolved the issue with launching another project from the quiz results page, but found a workaround that works even better.
    The course starts with a brief introduction module. The 'Continue' button on the last slide is set to launch another project, which opens the course's 'main menu.'
    The 'main menu' project has several buttons that launch appropriate sub-topic projects.
    On the last slide of each of the 'sub-topic' projects has the 'Continue' button set to launch the 'main menu' again. Each of these had quiz questions, but feedback was set at the question level only - no quiz results page.
    The last option on the 'main menu' project was a 'Course Completion' button - which launches a project containing the final quiz. (NOTE: This was always the only project that had the "Show score at the end of the quiz" set to display under Preferences / Quiz / Settings. After a lot of hair-pulling, I realized that it wasn't necessary to open another project to accomplish what I wanted to do, which was return the user to some basic instructions before they retook the quiz.)Here is how the last project was set up.
    The first slide is a content slide with instructions for the quiz. When the user clicks the "Back" button from this slide, it will launch the 'main menu' project. 'Next' simply goes to the next slide.
    Slides 2-5 are quiz questions
    Slide 6 is the quiz results slide (turned on under Preferences / Quiz / Settings). Buttons are: Review Quiz and Continue.
    Slide 7 is a content slide with instructions on what to do next. This slide has a text button that I called "Retry" and under Properties / Reporting for the button the "Include in quiz" is NOT checked. The Retry button takes the user back to the first slide in the quiz.

  • Local Session Bean calling another local Session Bean in EJB 3.0

    Hi,
    In EJB 3.0, I am trying to do JNDI lookup of a local sesion bean from another session bean's helper class.
    I am not using @EJB injection mechanism here, as call to the local session bean is made in a helper class. Helper classes do not support resource injection.
    Following are the EJB class definitions used in my project. Call to "EJB3Local" made from "EJB1" fails as the "EJB2" helper class is calling "EJB1Local"
    @Stateless
    @EJBs({@EJB(name="EJB2Local", beanInterface=EJB2Local.class),
    @EJB(name="EJB3Local", beanInterface=EJB3Local.class)})
    public class EJB1 implements EJB1Remote, EJB1Local{
    public void findEJB3Local(){
    //1. JNDI lookup for EJB3Local ----
    //2. EJB3Local.someFunction()
    @Stateless
    @EJB(name="EJB1Local", beanInterface=EJB1Local.class)
    public class EJB2 implements EJB2Remote, EJB2Local{
    public void findEJB1Local(){
    //1. JNDI lookup EJB1Local
    // 2. Call EJB1Local.findEJB1Local method
    @Stateless
    public class EJB3 implements EJB3Remote, EJB3Local{
    public void someFunction(){}
    A remote call to EJB2.findEJB1Local() will invoke EJb1Local.findEJB3Local method and the call fails with "java:comp/env/EJB3Local" not found in EJB1Local.
    Has anybody encountered an issue like this issue with local interface calling another local interface?
    Thanks,
    Mohan

    To refer a Ejb from another Ejb include <ejb-ref> element

  • How can I add a sequence in one project to a sequence in another project?

    I have finished editing a project called "HF Field Day 2011" but want to add another finished sequence from another project called "Quick pitch tent" at the end of the video in the former project. I then want to render the combination out to a final HD video. I don't want to have to re-create the latter video in the former project as it's already fully edited where it is. If that's not possible, does anyone know of an external program that can "stitch" to videos together without losing any resolution or adding any more compression artefacts?

    One way I found is to go to:
    Home, movies, iMovie projects, find the project you want and right click and click "show package contents".
    That will show a movie file and some other files. Drag the file to the desktop and rename it .mp4.
    then go to iMovie, import, navigate to the mp4 file on your desktop and it will let you import to the events section and then you can add it to your movie.
    Takes a lot longer to describe than to do. The quality seems to be preserved though I don't know if titles etc get transferred over, kind of doubt it.

  • How to detect end of FLV Video - and then call another web page?

    I'm using Flash CS3 v9 on a PC to...
    - use File > Import an AVI video and convert it to an FLV video.
    - use File > publish to publish it.
    - Then upload the four files...
    .. MyVideo.flv
    .. MyPage.html,
    .. MyPage swf
    .. AC_RunActiveContent.js
    to my website.
    Works Great!
    My Question:
    Since Javascript seems to run the .swf file which pays the .flv video... (or some such)
    Can I use Javascript (or html) to tell when the FLV Video has finished playing...
    And then automatically call another webpage...
    If so would someone be kind enough to share a code sample with me to get me quick started.
    Thanks for any help.

    I'm using the defaults in Flash CS3 ver9.
    I'm not creating any action script myself.
    I open Flash and select from the Flash menuio options...
    "Create New Flash File (Action Script 3.0)"
    I then File | Import my AVI video to convert it to an FLV video...
    and choose the player options for controls, etc
    and then punch through the menu's until Flash finally imports the video.
    I then "Publish" the project to the the 4 files mentioned in my initial posting.
    So, I think the answer to your question is...
    Yes, I'm using the default Flash playback component to play the flv
    and yes, I'm letting Flash default to CS3 even though I'm not writing the code... Flash is.
    Thanks for the help.

  • Labview FPGA called another software component

    Hi
    I am trying to compile my FPGA code which has previously compiled. I get this error.
    "Labview FPGA called another software component, and that component returned the following error:
    Error Code: -52009
    NI Platform Services: The requested resource has been marked for deletion and is rejecting new requests."
    What is this error code?

    Hi,
    I've been looking in to this for you today - unfortunately, that seems to be a really rare error code which doesn't come up very often on our systems, so there's no quick fix that I can find.
    A couple of options:
    1) Have you made any changes to the code recently, in terms of updating it from an earlier version of LabVIEW? If so, it may be worth mass compiling your project up to the latest version in case there are references to software components which no longer exist.
    2) It's probably worth a try repairing your LabVIEW, FPGA and RIO drivers installations from disk, as described here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/FE6B641E86E55AF2862576DE00038001?OpenDocument
    This could be due to some kind of missing or corrupted component in, for example, the Xilinx Tools
    3) Are you referencing any kind of external software, such as DLLs or third party instruments, in your file?
    4) What hardware are you using?
    Please let me know how you get on with these queries.
    Best wishes,

  • How to invoke BPMN processes in another project in JDeveloper?

    I have imported two BPMN diagrams from the Oracle BPA to JDeveloper. After importing I ended up with two projects each containing the first and second diagram. The problem now is in the final product, the user should be able to go through the tasks and other stuff in the first diagram and proceed to go through the task and other stuff in the second diagram.
    JDeveloper only allows me do this if the two BPMN diagrams are in the same project. By doing so I can use the throw message events in the first diagram to invoke the second diagram using the second diagram's message catch event.
    I can manually copy the second diagram to the first project but when I have 100+ diagrams I will have a big problem.
    Anyone know how can one BPMN diagram in one project invoke a diagram in another project?

    Know this is cryptic - if you want a step-by-step I'll be glad to give you more details.
    Add a Message start event to the process that you want to make the called child process. Deploy the project and copy the WSDL of the new process that is now exposed as a web service using Enterprise Manager.
    In the calling parent process, open the composite and add the service. In the calling process, add a Service activity that invokes the web service you just exposed.
    Hope this gets you going,
    Dan

  • Call Another DC from one DC.

    Hi,
    I have a scenario where I have an application DC. In that, I have a button which is suppose to call another DC. On click of the button a View in the second DC should appear as a pop-up. How to I go about it?
    Thanks,
    Prasanna

    Hi prasanna
    1) In the  dc1 (popup dc)
    Component controller
    Create a pop up calling method
    //@@begin javadoc:Callpopup()
    /** Declared method. */
    //@@end
    public void Callpopup(  )
    //@@begin Callpopup()
    //popup steps

  • Button won't work after calling another swf

    Hey!
    I have a scene where multiple buttons appear.
    One of them calls a  different swf file with loadMovie(). The other swf has a button that  uses the same function to return to the original swf (i have created a  swf for every scene of the original fla and so I can return to the exact  scene where I was). Another button in my original scene just calls another scene  of the same swf with gotoAndPlay.
    So far so good.
    The problem is that after I go forth and back to the external swf, using the 1st button, the  other button (that sends the user to another scene) won't work. It just  does nothing.
    (Although every other button in the scene keeps working).
    Using AS2 in CS5 (don't ask why i didn't use AS3 - noob).
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

    Ok, the whole scene has a simple loop to keep it running..
    The first button has:
    on (release)
    loadMovie("game.swf",1);
    The button on the external swf has:
    on (release)]
    stopAllSounds();
    loadMovie("project_games.swf",1);     //I have a swf for the original scene to connect the external swf directly with it, rather the whole project swf
    The other button in my original scene (the one that doesn't work after the use of the above two):
    on (release)
    gotoAndPlay("begin",1);                 //begin is the name of a scene in the project
    That's it.
    THanks for your reply my friend.
    Any ideas?

  • Calling another java class from a servlet

    I am trying to write a web based form handling system (for a college project)
    I have a servlet that responds to a user request for a form. I have another java program (HTMOut) that parses the xml file for the form and produces HTML output. When I call the HTMOut from the servlet it crashes the webserver (Tomcat). But if I call HTMOut from an ordinary java class it runs fine. If I call another test program from my servlet that works too.
    Any ideas?

    where does your HTMOut output? A file or a stream? I think it is better that HTMOut can output to a stream you can set externally.

  • Caller ID Project Question

    Let me preface this by saying I am new to Labview. I am a student trying to learn how to use it for a small part of my senior design project. I am using Labview2009 student edition. I came across this Caller ID project that is similar to what I'm trying to achieve (full credit and citation will be given of course, as per the guidelines given at the bottom of the page). Link is below. Please be gentle.
    http://cnx.org/content/m18708/latest/
    I've gotten to the point that I think the pll locks on the signal OK. I can tell this by looking at the baseband signal as well as the phase error coming out of the demodulator (feel free to tell me if I'm wrong though). The problem I'm having is with the "PLL Locked" indicator, for lack of a better word. No matter what I try, I can't get it to switch from false to true, then back to false again once it is not locked. The LED just stays on, even though I know it is no longer locked. I'm sure I'm missing something rather obvious and I'm hoping someone here will be nice enough to help me out.
    The project is attached and the main vi is FSK entitled FSK4.vi
    Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi Steve,
    I think that in order to make sense of the PLL issue, you're going to have to go back through the development of your project and really try to understand what is being done in each step. The less than comparison that indicates a lock comes after a few other function calls. First, the sound waveform goes through a PLL block, and the resulting waveform is taken as an absolute value and passed through an IIR filter to shape it. Then the signal is passed through the AC/DC estimate function, which pulls the AC and DC components from this resulting waveform. You are using the less than comparison against the DC component of that processed waveform. You'll have to go back through and take a look at the data along that path and see what the output waveform is from the PLL function and IIR filter to see if what you are seeing as a comparison result is actually correct. It is not as simple as just looking at the amplitude of the audio waveform to see if it's going to lock. I attached another image that shows the path of the audio waveform data. If you can add in some indicators throughout this path to see how the waveform changes then you will have a better idea of what you're expecting.
