Calling name in UCCX

Is it possible to set the calling name (display name) when a call is transferred by UCCX script ?

No, it's not - CLI/N is a bit of a sticking point with UCCX. IN 10.0 you can set the call so it shows the outside caller's actual number, prior to that it shows the CTI port number. You can never 'set' the name.
Some suggestions:
1) If you are doing a 'transfer' e.g. call redirect step, rather than routing to an agent, and if you have a small number of 'names' (for example, you take calls for 5 menu options, and want to set that on the call e.g. 'sales', 'cs' or whatever)... you can transfer the call to a CTI RP, name the CTI RP 'Sales' (alerting/display name) and then forward that to the intended extension. The receiving extension would then see 'Forwarded for Sales'. Similar for sending to a hunt group..
2) If you are routing to an agent with a select step, you can set a CAD workflow to pop up an alert with the name. Or you could just set Enterprise data and add show it in CAD. It doesn't appear on the handset, but is there on the PC screen, and you have the advantage of being able to set it to whatever you want per call.

    Did you configure the 'Call Variable Layout' or did you only configure the steps in the script?
    Take a look at the 'Manage Call Variables Layout' section in the CCX Administration guide.

  • Calling name don't displays on agent's phone

    Hello, i've an issue,
    we have 5 agents with Cisco UCCX 7 (Premium).
    when these is an incomming call, first of all they see CTI route point and when the call handled, agent see just calling phone number, but not name.
    Is it possible to make that an agent could see calling name and not cti route points

    The phone will always display the CTI port information until they answer the call on their phone. This is not configurable. They can view the ANI on CAD however.
    For caller ID name, CCX does not retain this information so this will not be seen when the call is transferred to the agent's ICD line from the CTI port.
    Changing either of these behaviors would require a product enhancement request with your local Cisco AM.

    Has your carrier been having issues with Call Display? Do the telephone numbers come up when people call, or does it just show 'Unknown Number' or 'Blocked' ?

  • E52 BT caller name order

    I'm having a problem with caller name and phonebook display when using E52 with Audi Bluetooth MMI - the order of first and last name is reversed, so the car display shows LAST, FIRST instead of FIRST LAST. The interesting thing is the good old 6300 works fine. Is there anything I can do (besides editing all contact entries)?

    One of most missed feature from Symbian in my nokia Lumia 920 is saying caller name along with ringtone when I get call...have been using Symbian for so long I use to know who is calling me even if phone is far on table...     I have upgrade software but after that my phone not showing caller name on the screen.Before upgrading my phone was shwoing caller name when I received call. my all phone numbers are on SIM , can some body let me know how this will work or its setting.

    The problem may be, that you have all your contacts on the SIM card and on the phone as well. Is that possible?
    Duplicate matches for a specific phone number lead to not showing a phone number at all...

  • Finder not working properly, randomly creates a folder called "Name"

    Hello,
    Finder has all of a sudden started to cause some really odd and sporadic file/folder navigation issues. Whenever I try to access a directory, Finder creates a folder called Name, makes random folders within the directory disappear, or both. It's odd because as soon as I either log out or restart, the problem subsides, but then it comes back -- for no apparent reason. I've taken a look at all of the logs, repaired permissions, verified disks, and dumped the Finder .plist files, but still no remedy. FWIW, this all started happening after updating to 10.7.4.
    Someone else posted a very similar thread on this matter, so I know I'm not losing my mind. Is anyone else has the same problem?

  • Will Cisco Unity inbox show the calling name from non-subscribers

    Unity CX 7.1.3 -- I need to know if the calling name is present will CUCM pass this to Unity CX and show the name in the messages "from" field on the Cisco Unity Inbox (personal communications assistant) I currently have a PIMG integration and there is no name field in the SMDI traces.

    The subject line is viewable using the Cisco Unity Inbox.  Note however, this is not ciscopca, which is used to configure user voicemail settings.  As you can see from the link, "When the %NAME% parameter is used in the subject line format of an outside caller message, it is automatically replaced with the ANI Caller Name of the sender of the message. If the ANI Caller Name is not available, Cisco Unity Connection inserts the value specified in the %NAME% (When Unknown) field."  If the message comes from a non-subscriber, you may see "Voice Message from Unknown Caller" or Unidentified Caller in the subject.  I recommend also using field %CALLERID%, which I believe is used by default, because at least the voicemail user will get the caller's phone number.

    I just got an alert on my phone that I had been automatically signed up for a ten day free trial of something called "Caller Name ID", which would automatically continue unless I cancel it.  Aside from the general shadiness of auto-enrolling me in something that will (soon) cost extra money, there are some big problems with this: the message didn't give any real information about the service, including---crucially---how much it was going to cost!  I can't find any information about the service online either (there are references to "Share Name ID", but that appears to be a different thing and says it's free).
    So, to start with: how much will this service cost?
    What-all does the service actually do that my phone doesn't already do?
    When is any of this information going to be available on the main Verizon website?

    We have an issue with the Lync client and some of the Lync IP phones that if User A calls User B using his lineURI (extension number), the name of User B doesn't appear on User A's client until the call gets connected, in the meantime the extension only

    Any idea how to let the called name appear for the calling party?

    Yes that is what is address book normalization when the call comes into Lync It will normalize and then perform Reverse number look to display User information

  • Can a 7965 display a URI address as the Calling name?

    I have a customer that is utilizing URI dialing as much as possible. The TPX endpoints, DX650, and 99XX phones display the URI address of the calling number. But when calling a 7965 from a URI speed dial I do not see the URI address...just to Calling Name and number. Can this be done?

    I havent done this in the past but I am going to assume that the 7965 is a SCCP phone and you might have to migrate it to SIP to get that info. 

  • Step - "Sequence Call Name" usage

    I wrote a program that uses teststand API calls to delete specific DLL calls and replace these with a VI call, unfortunately this method does not copy step settings (preconditions etc. ) Right hand file shown in attachment.
    I later found that it was better to just change the adapter type (since the step settings will be kept)  Left hand file in attachment.
    When I compared the output of these two methods I noticed that I seem to have accidentally set the "Sequence Call Name" as shown in the right hand file in attachment. (no doubt a bug in my first program)
    Can anyone tell me what the "Sequence Call Name" field is used for in the example shown and what effect that accidentally setting it may cause?
    I opened the right hand file in Teststand but I can not find that property in any of the step settings.

    The Wait step has the ability to wait until a thread or execution is complete, and one way to specify the thread or execution is to choose a Sequence Call step from the sequence. This sets the Sequence Call Name property in the step.
    One of the other properties of the Wait step is the "Wait for" property (WaitForTarget in TestStand 2013). This property will be a numeric value between 0 and 3 indicating which of the four settings in the Wait step is being used (Time Interval, Time Multiple, Thread, or Execution). Therefore, you shouldn't have a problem with the Sequence Call Name property set as long as the Wait For property is set to 0 or 1.

  • Caller Name ID on DROID 4 disappears too quickly

    I just added the Caller Name ID for Mobile Devices feature to my phone; when I get an incoming call, I briefly see a Network Message that shows who is calling but this message only stays up for about a second before it vanishes. If I'm not already staring at the phone, I'll miss the message because of the short display time of the message. Is there anyway to increase the timeout of the "Network Message" dialog that Caller Name ID uses?
    I'm using a DROID 4 purchased from Verizon on March 2013; the device has not been rooted; the phone app and contact/people app is stock.

    What type of PSTN circuit is this?
    If its an FXO port, caller-id is not supported in MGCP.
    If its a PRI, how is calling name being delivered? Display IE or facility IE? A "debug isdn q931" for an inbound call will show you this.
