Calling smartform from other system in ECC.

Hi friends,
I have a smart form in other system....In Ecc there is an alv report where in when i click on any line item,it should fetch the information in terms of smart form from the other system.that is a smart form present in other system should be displayed in ECC.I have not to create any smart form in ECC...Only call smart form from the other system....
Has somebody done this before or have any ideas how to do it.

Calling Transaction from other system using RFC

Hi ,
I have one button on screen(say Screen-A), in ECC. when its pressed the transaction '/SAPAPO/BOPIN' gets called from APO.
For calling transaction from APO I am using FM - 'ABAP4_CALL_TRANSACTION'.
I want the initial screen of that transaction to retain some values which I fill on the Screen-A(the screen which has that button).
When I call the transaction from ECC itself (ex. C006), the initial screen of C006 retains the value on Screen-A.
I want the same to happen in case of calling transaction from APO.
How to achieve this? Would it need the changes in IMG (SPRO)?
Please note that, Screen-A is initial screen of transaction 'md05' and I want to retain vaules of Material, MRP Area, Plant.

Problem with BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA when calling from other system

Hi All,
I able create new material using the BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA in development system.
but when i am calling this BAPI from other systems by passing the same values that i used in the development system . system is giving me an error ( in the return statement) saying that material number doesn't exists .
Can any one have some pointers towards this ?

Hi,
this FM BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA
is used to extend a material to another plant
for that you need to read the original data via BAPI_MATERIAL_GET_DETAIL and then select additional data from MKVE and save it via BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA with table parameter SALESDATA

Data Migration from Legacy system to ECC systems via ETL through SAP PI

Hi All,
I wanted to know if we can migrate the data from Legacy systems to ECC systems via PI.
What I understand is there is ETL tool is used to extract the data from legacy system, and what client is looking to load that data via PI?
Can we do that ? I am concerned because this will involve mass data?
If I have to use PI , I see option of PROXY / IDOC /FILE as receiver in ECC system (take the data from ETL)?
Can somebody has done this earlier , please share the approach.

I require few details from you.
1. What ETL tool you are using, If Informatica, it already have PowerConnect to connect to SAP. So you can create source and Target Structure and also you can use RFC's to send data to R/3. Else, for other ETL tools, can you prepare RFC's or any other way to send data to R/3. let me know the tool.
2. Does R/3 contains the master data tables? If yes, then try to use LSMW for Mass upload of data to tables.
If your client don't want to use either of these options please elaborate, what is the case.

Calling Smartforms from Module pool: Most Urgent

how can I call smartforms from module pool.
I have done like below.
First Created a push button on screen and used
these code in user command through PAI

Well, as it's most urgent....
One you have a value in V_FORM_NAME you need to call this function module, passing the fields and strucures that make up the interface to your form.
Eg.
DATA: DEVICE TYPE SSFCTRLOP .
DEVICE-DEVICE = 'PRINTER'.
DEVICE-NO_DIALOG = 'X'.
CALL FUNCTION V_FORM_NAME
EXPORTING
   CONTROL_PARAMETERS         = device
   USER_SETTINGS              = 'X'
EXCEPTIONS
   FORMATTING_ERROR           = 1
   INTERNAL_ERROR             = 2

Displaying sales order from other system

I have a requirement of displaying sales order from other system. I will be fetching sales orders through a RFC call and displaying it in an ALV. on clicking of the sales order displayed from the ALV, I need to display it from the other system.
How can I go about this?

you already have answered most part of your question.
- displaying SO from other system through RFC:
create a remote enabled function in that target system. call this FM from your current system. (for RFC calls check this: [RFC help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/22/0425f2488911d189490000e829fbbd/content.htm]
displaying SO by double clicking in ALV:
--ALV's comes with a event USER_COMMAND. in this event you can pass your subroutine and in your subroutine you can do your coding... take help from sdn searches like :About FM ALV user_command Event

No, we cannot make the query from other system as a source in APD.
The APD allows you to create analysis processes from the data which resides in your BI system.

I think I havent explained my problem well. Here I am explaining it again..
I want to pull an *.excel/ *.csv file through ABAP code.The target file that I want to access in my ABAP code is stored into another PC in the same Local area network under some directory say 'c:\temp\credit.csv'.
I have the logon information of the target file's PC.
Please help me with code if anyone of you having.

I have two systems.One is ECC and other is SAP R/3.
I have created one RFC in SAP R/3 system and I am calling this
RFC fom ECC system.On click of one button,I have to show some
fields from the RFC onto the screen of WDA .
How can I achieve it ? Is there any code for that or some link

         using rfc you will be calling a function module in r/3. so it will return some exporting parameters, bind it to the attributes that are created in the context or
       create a destination in ecc6 to call the r/3 system .u se service call and mention that destination while creating it.

Hi Ahmed,
Talk to your middleware team, They will upload the data through RFC.
Basiclly RFC(Remote function call) works like it will call the function module and then upload the data.

How to call RFC from external System to get HR Data

According to the requirement the "HR" Workflow has to be able to view the employee details from external system Using the standard Microsoft connectors.
So, my job is to create an RFC where i need to fetch the HR data from the infotypes P0001 and P0002. And they will call this RFC by requesting employees surname, ID number and/or Employee number.
Do i need to simply write OPEN SQL statements in RFC or
do i need to call any BAPI's?
Setting up RFC's(Creation of Destinations) is not our job.
Someone Please help me in this regard with some valuable input. Thanks in Advance.

You have to use the FM to convert to PDF then use this data and bind this to the node type XSTRING.
Check components WDR_TEST_ADOBE_PDF_ONLY or WDR_TEST_ADOBE for reference.
