can anyone tell me what is campaign plan in production planning and in the process flow of production planning where it fits.

Hi,
This component addresses the needs of discontinuous production in companies in process industries that manufacture sequences of identical production charges on their production lines.  You can manage batch manufacturing using production campaigns.
The aims of campaign management are the following:
Reduced costs achieved by grouping sequences of identical production charges and thus carrying out more efficient setup and clean-out processes which can be very costly.
Higher product quality in cases where the deisered quality level is achieved gradually in the production process as opposed to immediately from the first batch.
More exact settlement resulting from clear distribution of campaign fixed costs (setup, clean-out, and tear down costs) to the orders involved.

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me how to setup minimum runtime in campaign planning in PP/DS. The campaigns are defined by different colors (setup group) of the products. I am not sure how to ensure minimum runtime for a campaign i.e. a specific color to run at least for min duration. In campaign planning profile I can use maximum number of orders per campaign, but not the duration.

  • How restrict all products of a Product category in the Campaign Plan

    Hi,
      Could you please suggest me how to restrict all the list of products of a product category in CRM_MKTPL transaction ( Marketing Planner ).
    Standard SAP behavior is to "explode" the category to list all products within the category onto the marketing or campaign plan.
    The requirement is to display only the Product Hierarchy but not all the products under that Product Hierarchy.

    One of the prerequisite for this is define product hierarchy in the customizing
    IMG>Marketing Planning and Campaign Management>Product Assignments>Assign Product hierarchies.
    Product categories are assigned to Hierarchies, when a product category is included in a Campaign, it picks up data from the relevant hiererchy.

  • Campaign Planning:  wrong campaign description.

    Dear Experts,
    I am working in a PPDS project for a process industry company, company production highly depends on materials allergens, changeovers between materials with different allergens is very time-costing and moreover company needs to ensure that materials does not get  any others allergens as it could be dangerous for the customer.
    Company wants to visualize allergens for each operation on DSPB and also on order list. Each allergen is a setup group  and I am using Campaign Planning (after Optimizer) to make it more visual, and also take profit of the campaign alerts. Then campaig descriptions should provide information on Order List (I can add a column in the layout cmpgn descript), however campaigns are getting the description from the first material within the campaign and not the campaign description from the campaign profile (customizing).
    -Can anybody help with the description issue? I think it should show the campaign description from the campaign profile, it does take the color from the profile but not the description!
    - Do you think it is a good solution? Suggestions are welcome!

    I have been checking the Campaign Badis. It seems that the BADI "Assign Campaign Description after Optimization" -SAPAPO/PCM01_TXTOPT is only intended for when campaigns have been created through Campaign Optimization and it is not my case.
    What about the BADI "Change Respresentation of Campaign Bars" - /SAPAPO/PCM04_PT_PRS?
    In the standard system, the campaign bars displayed in the resource chart of the DSPB are labelled with info: the APO campaign number, short text, and status.
    We can use this BADI tooverride this standard setting and tailor the label for the campaign bar according to our own criteria. Any type of information can be displayed. In addition,we an override the campaign color and status-dependent hatches.
    My requirement is to see in the campaign description, per example on the receipts view transaction or on the DSPB, the setup group as description. So I would be enough with the campaign number and the description (setup group) that I wanna see.

  • Display error message in Campaigns - Planning profile templates

    Hi experts,
    I am facing an issue while trying to display error message in plannign profile template for campaigns.
    Issue is that even though i am able to add the error message to the parent campaign message container, it is not being displayed on the UI screen  message area(refresh is not happening) until the next screen refresh happens through another event like change of planning profile drop down / f2 pop up being closed on the message area etc.
    I need to display the error message as soon as it gets added in the global message container.Is there any way that i can refresh the UI from this method which would display my error message? I think round trip might work here
    I am tryign to add the message in the method IF_FLEX_DATA_PROVIDER~MODIFY_DATA of component KFPED_LAYOUT .
    But it doesn't get reflected in the message area.
    Appreciate a lot if anybody can help me out here.

  • Change the product categories in Campaign planning

    Hello Friends,
    In the Marketing Planner (TCode: CRM_MKTPL), after creating a marketing plan, in the product tab if I append a row and enter a product hierarchy, and press enter then I will get all the lower level data and complete information about the product. But my requirement is that when I press enter after entering the product hierarchy, I should not get the lower level data and also for the entered product hierarchy I should not get the Product Id and description. I need to supress all the values based on a condition.
    The condition is, I will create a Z table and store some Campaign Types in it. Whenever user creates a Campaign or changes a Campaign, the Campaign type should be checked with the Campaign Types in the Z table. If there is a match i.e., if the Z table contain that Campaign Type then perform the operation above i.e., supress the lower level data and product Id, Description for the product hierarchy entered.
    I have found that the BAdis triggered here are
    COM_PROD_MNT_ALL
    COM_PRODUCT_ADD_DATA.
    I thought the BAdi COM_PRODUCT_ADD_DATA is more relevant for this requirement because it had methods like INSERT_ENTRIES, READ_SINGLE etc.
    But when I tried to create an Implementation for this BAdi it throws me an error saying the BAdi is for SAP internal use only.
    So, how to achieve this requirement? Is there any User Exit for this? Or any event that is triggered at this point?

  • Campaign plans and campaigns transfered to PSP

    Hello,
    Are in PS plans and campaigns from CRM created with the same ID as in CRM. (ID of plan or campaign is also PSP element?)
    Is it some kind of hierarchy in PS? (campaigns under plans?)
    How does such a structre in PS look like?

    Yes, campaigns from CRM are created with the same ID in PS as it is in CRM.
    It also follows the same hierarcy also as is being created in the marketing planner.
    It is a level based structure where the annual plan can be taken as 1st level, Campaign id at 2nd level  and campaign element as 3rd ........... it all depends on how you define it in CRM. So nothing standard.

    Iam facing somewhat similar issue.
    My requirement is that everytime i want to create a new number for the campaign element. We are using the BAdi CRM_MKTPL to generate the Marketing/Campaign Plan number. And using the Coding Mask to generate the campaign elements. But when we delete some campaign elements and create new ones, the system used the same Ids that are previously deleted. I want only new number to be generated, i do not want to use the deleted Ids.
    How to solve this issue? Please suggest me some solution.

    This is happening b'cos the Marketing Projects (Plans, campaigns and elements) which u r trying to upload are with same name (External ID) which u have deleted, try either (Rename)change the name of u r marketing Projects while uploding in system.
    System error : The external ID is already used in the description of another marketing project. To avoid data inconsistencies in SAP BW, the external ID cannot be reused.

    Hi All,
    I’m very new to SEM-BPS, can someone help me in resolving the following issues.
    I want to do Key Figure Planning for Marketing & Campaign Planning in CRM.
    •     I created few planning areas with all the required elements in BW-SEM-BPS.
    •     RFC destination from BW to CRM and CRM to BW is defined.
    Now I’m getting following errors, in SAP CRM {SPRO>CRM >Marketing>Marketing Planning & Budgeting>Key Figure Planning >… }
    •     While defining Planning Profile Group F4 Help is not working for selecting Planning Profile from SEM-BPS.
    •     While doing Manage Key Figures - Function module “UPC_FW_START_RFC” not found (Message no. BL001)
    While creating Marketing Plan and Key Figure Planning following errors appear.
    •     Function Module “UPC_PROFILE_GET” not found (Message no. BL001)
    •     Function module "API_SEMBPS_PLANSTRUCTURE_GET" not found
    Can someone please provide me details how to resolve the above issues.
    If anyone can mail a doc. which lists all the steps to be followed while integrating SEM-BPS & CRM and doing Key Figure Planning will be of great help.

  • Production Campaign in Discrete MFG

    Folks,
    I know it is possible to use/run Production Campaign Planning in PP-PI. However, I had a similar requirement to run production at certain work centers on a campaign basis. However, I'm running discrete production & not Process.
    Because of the large set-up time involved we need to run set of certain finished products in an ascending sequence & then bring the line down in the exact opposite descending sequence (1ton, 3 ton, 5 ton while bringing it up & 5 ton, 3ton, 1 ton when taking it down). Can this be mapped without a Campaign?

    Apart from this, you will have do developments which will capture the campaign number (not available in standard SAP) against a group of planned orders which you have to choose manually and change dates manually and put in the campaign plan development screen. These planned orders will be the one which are generated for specific sales orders (if MTO) or collective planned order (if MTS).
    So you need to generate a campaign number for this group of planned orders and execute and monitor your production against this number.
    I hope this will give you thought direction .....you need to think in detail as to how you are going to map the development as you are better aware of your business scenario ..:)

  • Campaign Element generation using coding mask

    Hi Friends,
    Iam working on the automatic number generation for marketing/campaign plan generation. I have implemented the Note provided by SAP and everything is fine.
    The issue is with the campaign elements. I have used the coding mask to generate the campaign elements. Whenever i delete a campaign element and create a new one, the same number is used again. I mean the previously deleted campaign element numbers are generated again.
    Is there any standard way to create a new campaign element every time from the coding mask without re-using the deleted campaign elements.

    Be more specific? Which version are you in? Is default badi activated? do you have any active custom implementation of  Badi CRM_MKTPL_OL_OBJ with code in method "external id generation".
    Are you using code masking along with the Badi activation. if you custom implementation of badi CRM_MKTPL_OL_OBJ, make sure you deactivate the default implementation.
    Some time this issue might be caused by conflict of multiple implementations active.

  • Transport of Std.Planning area

    1)  I would like to transport planning area '4CFVS01' from client 000 (BPS). Please let me know is it possible to transport only the above planning area with all its subordinate objects?
    When I checked the Import of planning application, I think if we select the planning application e.g marketing and campaign planning it will transport all the planning area under this.
    Where as I need only the 4CFVS01 (Validation sheet planning area) to be transported.
    2) Also please let me know planning area u20194CFVS01u2019 (Validation sheet) & u20184TPM2000u2019 (Trade promotion) come under which planning application head?

    I have created a customized planning area with Business content (real time Infocube) in BPS side. Now when I do a transport of Std Planning area and its subordinates (i.e 4CFVS01 - planning area) in that case will it throw any error?
    Since already the std infocube is mapped to a customzied planning area. Should I need to delete the customized planning area before doing a copy of the std planning area?

  • Campaign Optimization

    Hi,
    Has anyone have experience in carrying out campaign optimization.
    I am trying to carryout campaign optimization, but system comes up with a error message stating that my orders have predecessor, successor or pegging relationships between them. It appears to me as though system picks up two orders randomly, because each time I carry out the campaing system comes up with different orders. However, I have checked the master data settings and does not have any relationship maintained between PPM of these orders.
    If I carryout campaign planning using the steps PP/DS Optimization, then create campaign, create set-up and clean out orders, it works (because optimization is done for set-up times and costs). But however, when I try to optimize the storage costs using campaign optimization it results in the above mentioned error and optimization stops without any result.
    Has anyone come across this situation. Please provide guidance.

    The PP/DS Optimiser has quite a few restrictions associated with it, and can cause unpredictable results if any of these restrictions are met. See SAP Note 712066 for full details as I am not sure of the exact conditions you are trying to optimise. The key one may be:
    The campaign optimization is based on the bottleneck resources. There must be no direct or indirect time link (in the form of constraints or material dependencies) between the operations or orders that are planned on the bottleneck resources. In particular, bottleneck resources may be used only once in the production flow.
