Can a Field in an iBooks be Updated on the Fly? (Dynamically)

I have a very specific question about iBooks Author, and the iBook 2 format. Here is what I need to do... Lets say I have a field (either in a text box, a table, or any other required medium that has a specific piece of data. Can that data be updated dynamically on the fly?
For example...
The "field" title is Population of Des Moines, IA. Is there any way that the iBook, when the box is click, or even automatically call to a database that changes that data each day, to reflect updated information? User Opens on Monday.... 250,000 User opens on Tuesday and the field is now updated with current statistics to reflect births/deaths and now reads 249.950.
If not in a specific field... can an entire table be show in an ibook that is actually just loaded from a website. For example.. A website has the current population of Des Moines. The iBook displays that cleverly formated webpage within the iBook.
Any help would be helpful, this is just an example with much, much larger value to my industry.

Thanks...That's not a bad thought. Can that be done to automaticly refresh upon opening? The useage case is really to try to get the "document" to reflect any changes made to it, without having to update the entire document. In this case, the iframe would be the main portion of the page, not a supporting element. So having to click would be a little bit of a user distraction. Maybe it's not possible, but just trying to see.
Has anyone done any behind the scenes magic that they've managed to flavor the Apple sauce like this?

Print Module templates layouts do not update on the fly

Print layouts do not update on the fly when attempting to choose between various Print Module>Template Browser> Lightroom or User templates. This occurs in all three Layout Styles. The very first layout chosen in Single Image/Contact Sheet, Picture Package, or Custom Package is the permanent 'default' and cannot be changed. The Preview will show as expected however any image stays stuck in the very first layout I chose after installing LR4 beta.
For example, I first chose Template Browser>Lightroom Templates>Maximum Size, and Layout Style>Single Image/Contact Sheet. Clicking through any other Templates (Lightroom or User defined) will alter the preview but not the layout display in the Print window. Same problem in either of the other Layout styles. I have been trying for days to rectify this, but it seems somehow more difficult than LR3. and not what I expect.
As a comparison, using the same steps in LR3 works perfectly as all print template/layouts can be changed on the fly as expected. I have no problems generating different layouts in LR3 and have been using LR print module since version 1 without this issue.
Is this a bug or are there any extra steps or workarounds I have not discovered? Any other testers seen this?

iMac OS 10.6.8. 8GB RAM.Processor Intel Core 2 Duo. NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS.
The steps as follows:
1) Lightroom 3.6 & LR4Beta exist side by side.
2) LR4 Beta> Print Module;
3) From filmstrip choose image;
4) Template Browser> Lightroom4Beta Templates>Maximum Size;
5) Preview displays as expected;
6) Layout Styles>Single Image/Contact Sheets
7) Template Browser> Lightroom4Beta Templates>click through any other templates (Lightroom or User defined);
8) Image layout in main window does not update;
9) Previews update;
10) Layout Style>Picture Package;
11) Template Browser>Maximum size is then automatically shown, however the template in the main window is actually (1) 7x5, (2) 2.5x3.5;
12) Any further attempts to change the layouts regardless of Style Layout choices are not successful.
13) Close LR4Beta>re-open LR4Beta;
14) Repeat test;
15) Print Module layouts do not update on the fly as expected;
16) Close LR4Beta and all applications;
17) Reboot iMac.
18) Open LR4Beta only;
19) LR4Beta>Print Module>Template Browser >Lightroom Templates>Maximum Size;
20) Image displays in main layout window with Template and Preview display as expected;
21) Choose different image>Template Browser>Lightroom Templates>Maximum Size;
22) Click through templates, layouts DO NOT update in main window although previews do automatically update.
23) CONCLUSION - In Lightroom 4 Beta>Print Module>Template Browser, image layouts do not change after initial choice as expected.

Sorry, I don't think so. That would be pretty cool if you could create a property node for a formula node and then enter a formula on the front panel and use it to update the formula. But you can't create a property node for a formula node and the only way of modifying the formula is by typing it into the formula node on the diagram. And you can't modify a diagram of a running VI.
You could create a VI which is only a formula node with the maximum number of inputs and outputs you expect. Have a button on the calling VI to Edit Formula. When the button is pressed, use a VI server to display the front panel on the formula VI, display a dialog box telling the user how to display the diagram of the formula VI, then stop the calling VI. (You can't edit a sub-VI while t
he calling VI is running). The user will then need to rerun the calling VI to use the new formula.
You might be able to do something by calling MatLab or something like that to get an interactive formula window.

The only exception is the feature named webDVD which is in reality a flash file with menus. Until proven otherwise, no way to get that on the iPad 2 unless with viewing from a web browser?

I upgraded to iOS 7, but can no longer download iTunes, iBooks, or apps from the App store.

I can connect with wifi, download books to my Kindle, send and receive email, etc. The only things I can't do seem connected to the Apple stores. I'm not getting any error messages, but when I (for example) try to purchase music and click on the Purchase button -- nothing happens. Before I would have been prompted for my Apple password and then the downloads would start. Similar thing happens with iBooks. I click on Get Book and the screen remains unchanged.
Also, on Friday I started to update my software from iOS 7.0 to iOS 7.0.2 -- and it's still telling me it's downloading and there's less than a minute remaining.
Something is clearly wrong, and thus far Apple support has been any help.

Try a reset ...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

I can't find any pre 2.0 updates for the ipod touch

I had to restore my ipod touch because of problems and now it's back to cutting songs off randomly. I want to update but I don't want to pay $10 for 2.0. I looked everywhere on my itunes and on apple's website but found nothing. Any help would be appreciated

How can I get an exported iBook to open on the first page?

After exporting the latest version of my iBook, when I open it in IBook reader on the iPad, it opens in some random spot in the middle of the book. I've tried doing a final save while on the Intro Media page before exporting but it still opens the first time somewhere in the middle. Any suggestions?

Yes I checked it. As far as I can see I did everything Apple said to do. I took some screen shot so you can see how the screens are connected and what and where the code is, and what it does when I drag the cancel and done bar buttons to the exit

Why I can not download my Ipad Ibooks since I low the IOS 7.0.2?

When lowering my ipad version 7.0.2, all my Ibooks are erased. I tried to replace them but when I give the option to open in iBook nothing happens. My iBook still empty.

Difficult to say why unless you give some information as to what happens when you try to download something e.g. are you getting any error messages in the store, are the screens in the App Store app blank, do the apps show as 'waiting' on your iPad's home screen ... ?

I deleted the applications on my 2nd gen iPod accidentally, now I can't download anything because everything's updated and the newest software isn't available for 2nd gen iPods?! What's the point of buying apple devices then?? They're meant to last long.

Many developers when they updated their apps to support iOS 5 and 6 dropped compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 and earlier.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.
Your iPod still plays music, gets and sends mail, surfs the web and does other things. to. It is old by electronics standards.

In Garageband 10.0.1, why can't I record over an existing track "on the fly"?

If I have a track that has a mistake on it, in the older version, I could play the song and just hit the record button when I wanted to record over the mistake on that same track. It was really useful. Now I can't seem to do that. Help?!?

iMoive is completing rendering or some other task that it does in the background. It does work in the background so that you can keep working and not have to wait for it.
Also, I couldn't find the option to export to iDVD. Is this a thing of the past now? Do I have to save the file first and then drag the file to iDVD to burn? There seems to be extra steps involved now.

Can no longer access itunes store to update apps through itunes OR on iphon

I just updated to the 2.2 software on the iphone. Ever since, any time I try to update an application (or even check for updates) I get a message saying itunes can't connect to the store, check my network connection, etc. I get the same problem if I try to check for updates directly from the iphone or from itunes on my computer. I see many people are having problems with the itunes store. I assume that since I am having the same problem on my phone and on my computer, and since so many other people are having problems, that this is some kind of problem with Apple and not with my set up. However, I have not seen anyone else mention problems connecting from their phone the way I am.
Other than upgrading to 2.2 there is nothing different about my system - accept I did also try upgrading to the newest iTunes. The problem happened with version 8 and with whatever the current version is. I am using Vista - I never had any problem like this before.
Any help or comments would be much appreciated.

I am also having this problem, i can no longer search for app's updates through the latest release of itunes 8.0.2 and also the latest iphone 3g update version 2.2 - this has been going on for about 15 hrs now. If i try to update through my iphone the the page eventually times out or comes up with "unable to connect to itunes store"., If i try through itunes itself, the windows comes up with the progress bar type thing and accessing itunes store, then after a while just comes up with "iphone sync complete, Ok to disconnect" - but i'm not syncing my iphone i'm trying to update the apps.....

Why can't I see my contacts in Yahoo7 after updating to the new Yahoo7? I can see them in internet explorer

I recently updated my yahoo account to the new yahoo7. I now can't see my contacts in my yahoo7 contacts list, but if I open my yahoo7 account using internet explorer I can see them. I have tried updating to the new firefox 5, checking the page style is set to basic (it is), clearing cache, and have even tried updating plug ins.

I can't see the photos from the iPhoto after upgrading to OS X Yosemite. I did follow the instruction to download the iPhoto Library upgrader. It was shown that the download was successful. However, it is still unable to see the photos.
