Can an ipod touch screen be repaired
My nine year old daughter dropped her iPod touch on the ground yesterday and the screen is shattered; can this be repaired?

At the moment theres no problem with my ipod it works perfectly. But i want to know if something can happen to it if I continue sleeping over it (accidentally).
The sceen is quite strong/break resistant with a distributed force like you laying on it in bed. It does not fair weel will point conntact. Dropping an iPod on the corner will almost surely break the screen since all forece in in a small area.

I cracked my iPod Touch screen at the top where the front camera is and colored the cracks in with highlighter. I want to know if I can still get it repaired even if its colored in? If I can't, how do I remove the highlighter?

so my ipod touch screen is broken, and whenver i try to unlock the ipod screen, all that i can see is the top right hand corner of my ipod, and the rest is all whited out. Also, the jack which support the headphones to stay in place, one of the balls in the jack is pushed in which causes the headphones and stereo jack to slip all the time. I also have a problem which is when i try to sync my ipod to itunes. Last time i did it(which was 4 years ago), i synced my ipod and i started out with 225 songs, after the syncing process was complete, i ended up with 119 songs. I'm afraid to resync my ipod or back up my ipod to a computer because i dont want to lose the wonderful collection of 589 songs i have now. I'd really appreciate it if i got some feedback. Thanks.

My Ipod touch screen has gone white with bright white spots on it. I have restored it and it shows in ITunes but the screen is still white. Is there anything I can do? The warranty has run out so I will have to pay for any repairs (if it can be repaired). Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
If you still have problems after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod then you very likely have a hardware problem. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

I don't think so. Did you do a DFU mode restore, which removes all software/firmware. Apple though does have it's reason, it can make viruses easy to get ya cuz once u jailbreak, all security holes r open cuz I heard that jailbreakers do that so they can modify software to change the UI, and the iPod has to let the code be modified, so anybody can add malware to ur iPod and it would think it as normal code. Plus ur iPod could go into a inoperatable state. But, no if u restore I think you will be fine.

My iPod touch screen says it is disabled. Connect to iTunes. When I connect the device to the computer a window pops up and said that the iPod is locked and I need to enter the passcode on the iPod..... I can't get it to do anything. Any ideas?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

How can I make the best of my ipod touch screen with no internet connection??
I've been offered an ipod touch screen last Christmas and it's only a week ago that I took it out of its box. I still can't figure out how to transfer my music library from my laptop to the ipod. But I've installed some apps thinking I would be able to listen to my favourite radio station and play some games wherever I go and to my disappointment nothing's working if not connected to an internet connection. I thought an ipod was an improved walkman and actually it is nothing but a device that should be connected to the internet to work.
Considering that I don't have a free internet connection to the internet on my mobile phone, I was just wondering wht's the purpose to have an ipod? I really consider to go back to my old walkman... Thank you for your comments to help me to make the best of my Christmas present.The message you are getting is saying that the iPod was previous synced to another computer. You can only sync with one computer. If you sync to another computer then the iPod media from the iPod get erased (as the message says) and is replaced with what is in the iTunes library of the second computer.

For not showing in iTunes:
- Try entering the screen lock passcode on your iPod if not done already
- Go to Windows Device Manager and see if there is any problems/unknown devices

Hi my ipod touch screen works sporatically. It reacts spacticaly. When I use the keypad it will slowly react and get the letter and sometimes puts in the letter several times. I barely touch it and it reacts and then other times I have to wait seconds until it will react. What can I do to fix this?
