Can anyone find where the problem is.... in this small plsql code(apps)

hi... plz try to execute the following code...
i'm getting 'no data found' error where infact there are thousands of rows

SELECT INVOICE_NUM INTO INV_NUM

i dont bother about duplicate invoice numbers

I didnt get the solution.
Data is there but still why is it showing 'No data found'?
could please share the solution for this.
