Can I assume internal format for RMS recordfilters?

I am constructing the matches() routine to handle a recordfilter using two integers that are at the beginning of each record in the RMS. It runs much faster if I just compare the first eight bytes of the two byte arrays rather than constructing a ByteArrayInputStream and a DataInputStream so I can use the readInt method.
Is it valid to assume that all phones will save integers as four bytes in the recordstore or is the internal format allowed to vary? I don't think big and little endian issues would arise because I am only checking for equality. But if the length varies or separators are added, then my eight-byte assumption falls apart.

Is it valid to assume that all phones will save
integers as four bytes in the recordstore or is the
internal format allowed to vary? Java is always network order, so it will be the same on all platforms. Otherwise the DataIn/OutputStreams would not work either.

can i use exfat format for my external western digital harddrive so that i can use in both windows and mac?
    thanks in advance.

Yes you can. OS X version 10.6.6 and later can read/write exFAT. Windows XP SP3 and later can read/write exFAT. As posted by Radiation Mac, you can do it from Windows or from OS X.
However, I've noticed Windows to be somewhat picky about drives formatted on a Mac. So, if Windows can't read it, try formatting it on the Windows machine, and see how it works on the Mac.

My friend thinks that if I have wifi i can make an international call for free is he right?
I think he is confused with imessage but that doesnt even work on calling.

You cannot make a cellular international call for free just because you have a WiFi connection. However, you can make low cost International calls over WiFi using apps such ase Skype or Google Voice. You can also Facetime to another iPhone, iPad or Mac over WiFi or cellular data; that is free.

  • Where can I find internal HD for G5???

    Hi,
Just went to my local Apple store to look for an internal HD for my powerMac dual core g5. They don't have any?????
Do you know where can I find one and what type of HD do I need.
    Thank you

The cable to hook it up should already be present inside your G5. There should also be some black plastic mounting 'screws' next to the drive bays that you put into the side of the hard drive (to hold it in place inside the bay). As for formatting, just open the Disk Utility program, which can be found in the Utilities folder inside the Applications folder. Once it is opened, you should see the Samsung hard drive in the left hand column. Once you highlight it, click on the Partition tab. If you only want one partition, leave the settings as they are & click the Partition button. If you want more then one partition, then use the drop down menu under where is says Volume Scheme to select how many partitions you want. Enjoy your new drive when you get it!

    Kerstin,
    Thanks for the information.
I might be wrong, but I understood that SAP did allow you to create dll files for this purpose. In the Document Resource Center in the Add-ons section, click on Payment Engine. There is a document called
'Payment Engine Plug-in Development Guide in Release 6.5'.
Claudia - you might want to see if this document is any use for you.
Although the name shows release 6.5, this document still appears for both 2005 and 2007.
I also checked 2007A and it still has the prompt for File Format.
As I said, I might be wrong, because I do not know anyone who has tried to create a plug-in, but if this is not for creating your own dll files, do you know what it is for?
Let me know what you think.
    Regards,
    Douglas

  • How can I lose the formatting for text I paste in?

I cannot lose the formatting used by writers who email me articles for a Master Gardener newsletter. Specifically, I need to lose the extra space between the last line of one paragraph and the first line of another. I've tried exporting to Plain Text, which works for some--not all. Before I converted to the new OS, I could export to a PFD to lose the formatting, but that doesn't work now.

Do you have an extra return between paragraphs, or simply the style has before/after spacing to paragraphs?
If you have an extra return in Pages '09 you can search and replace double returns to single returns.
Since Apple removed this ability from Pages 5, you will need to clean up your text elsewhere, in TextEdit, TextSoap or LibreOffice [free].

Can not find a cd  layout that I can put a full picture that I have on it.  It is in jpg format.  I have a ip2700 printer.

OK, great!  EasyPhoto-Print EX should have come with your printer. If not you can d/l it from here.
Here is a screen shot but I sugest you read the manual which you can also d/l from the Canon site.
Simply click these two places to delete the pre-made layouts.
Now click here and select the one you want or made previously.
    Hope this helps you.

  • How can I get "script" format for signing forms and paperwork, not just printing my name?

I would like to have a "script" font available when I sign e-mail forms or create forms.

Hi mfeehley, most online editors provide a variety of fonts you can use when composing your message or signature. If the font you want to use is not included, perhaps you can create a small image (e.g., in a Word processor, then use Alt+PrintScreen to capture it to the clipboard as an image, then paste into Paintbrush and trim to a good side) and insert that into your signature instead. The mail site or form program help should explain how to insert images.

  • I really need to speed up my IMAC.  I purchased a new external drive specifically formatted for apple.  I also would like to move some other media (movies and music) to this external drive.  What is the best method for this?

Please help...I need to delete iphoto pictures and back up to external drive without losing pictures. I have the external drive and would like to start this process.  Can you help?

Formatted for Mac is not a format - for iPhoto you MUST verify that it is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled)
and putting your iPhoto library on an external drive is NOT a backup - you MUST have a good backup plan like Time Machine running or you are 100% guaranteed to lose your photos sooner or later
Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive
other media questions need to be ask in the forum for the software you use for them - this forum is only for iPhoto and the above instructions are only for iPhoto

  • Setting up Ovi software and "International Format"...

    /rant on...
OK, maybe I'm the only person here that has ABSOLUTELY ZERO CLUE WHATSOEVER what an "International Format" for my phone number is, but I can't get through step 4 of the OVI software setup.  In my 40 years on this Earth, not once have I ever needed to make an international call.  Once in a rare, blue moon, I've seen an international number listed, but honestly, I don't know the format for them off hand and I definitely have no idea how to present my own number in an "international format".  Call me "sheltered" if you must, but this is just something that I have NEVER needed to know until just now.
    Update:
After Googling for some time, I finally found it.  To be honest, I'm not sure if what I entered was correct, but it took it.  It would be a GREAT help if the Ovi software provided a link to show us what this looks like.  I shouldn't have had to do all that research just to fill in that one field.
    /rant off...

Hi, had  the samePOV... Some help from OVI Online Help ::
"Enter the phone number in international format: enter the + character, the country code, the area code (omit the leading 0, if necessary), and the phone number. For example, +4412345678. You must select the same time zone as in your device settings."
    Will try now ;-)

  • Can you save your own theme and button set up so I can use the same format

Can you save your own theme and button set up, so I can use this same format for similar content. I want to keep the button content and the theme the same without having to create it everytime? I am trying to streamline the process for multiple dvd's with the same menu and buttons but different content. Does that make sense?

I am only new to this caper too, but I am pretty sure you can save a theme as a favourite by pressing the "save theme as favourite" button under file. If you have edited an existing theme but don't want to lose it, make sure you untick the replace existing button.

  • Where i could get know each order types's internal format

    Dear expert,
Whcih table or from where could i get to know the internal format for each sales doc type...
    For example:
    KM equals to CQ
    TA equals to OR..
    Etc...
For my Z customrized order type, does there also have one internal format order type??
Because we are using LSMW to upload open Sales orders....The order type has to be indicated as internal format...
    Thank you very much.

    dear hoo laa,
let me divide you question into three parts:
1.A.this is to inform you that there is no different formats for each sales document type.
one single format for all but here basing on the control features of that particular sales document types proto types are different.
Eg:  base model is one and the same. like bajaj 110cc, 125cc, 150cc, 180cc, 200cc, 220cc.  here we are having only one blue print for all models but proto types are different.
    2.
For my Z customrized order type, does there also have one internal format order type??
2.A. the sales order which you have copied from.
3.Because we are using LSMW to upload open Sales orders....The order type has to be indicated as internal format...
3.A. it depends on your requriment how the sales orders are uploaded because you know which field to consider and which field not to consider while uploading.
hope this is help ful for solving your issue.

  • Date Format for the input Variable

    Hi all,
I got an issue with Date format we enter in the input variable screen for the BEx Analyzer.
We have given a format of MM/DD/YYYY. But when the users accessed the report, it is not taking the format of the variable i.e MM/DD/YYYY but it is taking the format of the users system.
If the user's system format is DD/MM/YYYY, it is accepting the input inthe same format only.
    Why this strange behaviour?
    My questions are
Is the input for BEx system specific? or variable specific?
    Rgrds
    Kumar

    Hi,
I think it is user specific... you can maintain the date format for user ....
Go to SU01 transaction or.. Go to SYSTEM -> User Profile -> Own data
Here in defaults tab you can see the date formet for user...
    Hope this helps...

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to change date format for ‘Created’ field in the getVersions web service.
Per my knowledge, you can get the date format for ‘Created’ field as “MM/dd/yyyy HH:mm a”.
For more information, you can refer to:
    Versions.GetVersions Method (Versions)

  • Where to add html format for phone # so it dials on touch in List View

    Hi,
In Apex 4.2 Jquery mobile list view how can you apply html format for the phone# field to make it dial with a touch.  For example, I see how to do a list view of the 'DEMO_CUSTOMER' sample data, but I cannot figure out how to format the phone # fields so that they will dial on touch.  I know the HTML tags to use and I know how to use it in a standard report, but I can't figure out list view.
    Thanks,
    Pat

    Hi, Vincent,
Thanks for the quick response!  I found the Settings and subtype but when I set to phone it does not make the phone # dial-able on touch.
In a report I can set : Column Formatting --> HTML expression to:
    <a href="tel:#PHONE_NUMBER#">#PHONE_NUMBER#</a>
The phone # will then dial out when touched on smartphone.  List view does not seem to allow formatting the column with such a format.  Seems strange that Jquery mobile would not have this type of formatting 'built in' so any subtype defined as phone would automatically be dialed on touch.
