Stock Differene in mb5b
Dear Gurus
When i tried to check the report through mb5b t-code, there is a stock difference in the report
Ex:
a) while selecting stock type sotrage location/batch it shows 3 qty for x material
b) for the same material if i select stock type valuated stock it show 2
why it is showing.. pls. do the needul
regards
Prasad
what is closing stock? probably something for finance .
Finance is usually only intrested in values not quantities, hence valuated stock would be the choice for finance while the logistics guy will probably choose the other option.

Calculating as on date stock as in MB5B
Hi Team,
i debugged MB5B & MD04 and searched in SDN too but did not get the logic.
in my current logic i am using mara, marc mard, mkpf and mseg tables...
i've joined mara and marc tables. joined mkpf and mseg tables.
i am calucating mard(labst umlme insme speme einme retme) data also.
But could not able to get the as per the input given date.
Could anyone please let me know the procedure to calculate the as on date stock.
Regards,
ChinnaDid you look at this?

Add stock types to MB5B report output
Hi,
We need to create a new report which will be a combination of MB5B and MB52.
In the sense, the new report should be able to give the stock on a particular posting date split into the different stock types like unrestricted, restricted, QI, blocked etc.
Please let m eknow if this is possible.
Thanks!
PMmaterial history may be available at the most for periods. you may have to transfer the data to a ztable from Mard on daily basis, may be as a job run in the night and can have a logic to fetch it from the ztable

MB5B report having discrepancies in stock
Dear All,
I have checked the stock balance using MB5B for date 07.04.2009. The system while executing the transaction gives a warning message saying u201CFI document summarization is active / the results may be incorrect
But on 31.03.2009 in MB5B stock value is showing as u201C319u201D and not u201C301u201D which is the correct stock balance (Ref: Transaction MC10)
Now please tell me as to what exactly is done during this FI document summarization which gives us this exact stock difference...???
waiting for your helpful answers
Regards
NanoSAPFI document summarization active mean actually there is only one FI document line item per G/L account in a FI document no matter how many lines are there in the corresponding material document. This affects the audit trail from FI postings back to MM postings as there is no one to one link. This type of summarization is normally required if it is normal to have FI document to have more than 999 lines as this the limit.

Closing stock of a particular date
how to get plant wise material closing stock on any particular date. say previous months end date. I am calculating that from MSEG table with the help of MSEGINSMK and MSEGSHKZG field. (with date filtaration by joining MBLNR of MKPF table) But stock is showing different with the closing stock showing in MB5B report for that date. I don't know which BWART of MSEG table to be excluded. My email id is [email protected]
Hi,
This is a stock aging report, you can use this for reference.
Logic: Based on current stock and value from MBEW table. The latest receipt dates were taken till the qty tallies off.Rejections and reversals are considered.
The movement types considered are ('101','102','105','106','122','123','131','132','301','302','309','310','501','502','531','532','561','562','701','702').

Stock reserved against the Sales ORder is not valuation in MC.9.
Dear Experts.
The valuation done in Mc.9 doesnot match with MB5B -valuated Stock. We are having export material , which is make -to-stock scenerio. In this as soon as the production confirmation is done, the stock is alloted to the specified Sales Order.
The stock alloted to the Sales order doesnot get valuated in MC.9 report, where as the same can be seen in MB5B .
For Example.
MAterial - XYZ is in stock in storage location FG01 - 156 EA
against Sales ORder - 206 EA
Total Stock valuated in MB5B - 362 EA whereas in Mc.9 it valuates for only 156 EA.
Can any body guide .
Thanks
AVSHi,
In MC.9 stock is displayed based on periods in the selection screen
Please make sure you are slecting proper period
Thanks

Storage location stock with value on a particular date
i m in search of a report or logic which can fetch stock as in mb5b on a particular date. mb5b shows sloc stock but without value and show valuated stock without sloc. can anyone help me out to find such report or give some logic or table from where it can fetch sloc stock with value.
Edited by: Husain Husain on Jan 28, 2010 4:00 PMHi,
All the stock related reports like MC.1,MC.5,MCBA etc will give you stock for a particular months range. he only report giving stock on a date is MB5B .However in this report you will not get the storage location stock value.
Now try the report in T Code J3RFLVMOBVED which will serve your purpose .Here in the material parameter tab give your storage location and the date range in the main tab Posting date range and than execute.

Hi
Dear Guru
we have done sum stocks close in year ending 2008, in that time we have tranasferd Stock from material to material, we have tranferd all the stocks from material A to Material B.
But theire is no stcoks in the MMBE for material A , for todays date , when we are going to check MB5B, on 31/03/2008, it is showing valuated stock, of sum quantity,
we have checked all the Material Stock Transaction, no where it is showing stock eccept in MB5B That to posting date on 31/03/2008.
so how to remove that stock on posting date(Valuated stock). only in MB5B.
Kindly suggest
Madhuhi
For doing stock transfer , stock must be avalaible on current date and on the last day of the previous month, if u want to to do transfer postion on previous month's date.
reward if useful

Hi,
Is there a standard report in WM which gives bin stock (historic) like MB5B in IM. LX02 gives stock as on date but we require to know stocks on any dates in the past.
Thanks,
PratapHi,
If you run LS03- display storage bin, the is a tab for stock/invnetory or you can use display your quant in LS23.
Thanks

Inventory Value Not Tallying with R/3 MB5B Report
Hi,
We are tallying data of BW Query Inventory Valuated Stock Value (0VALSTCKVAL) with R/3 Valuated Stock Value using MB5B.
i) Data is tallying for all plants except one plant, this is having project stock.
ii) For this we have analysed data for one material , we found some valuated stock (With Negative Sign) on 19.04.2006 to 09.03.2008.But this is not showing R/3 anywhere.
iii) In the Cube also there is no data on 19.04.2006 to 09.03.2008 for this plant & material
Please guide us from where it is appearing in the BW Query.
Thanks,
Kiran ManyamHi
See the steps
Treatment of historical full loads with Inventory cube
Setting up material movement/inventory with limit locking time
If it is BI 7 then for BX in in DTP in Extraction Tab you need to select Extacrion mode = NON-Cumulative option.
Thanks

How to match the BI Inventory Management reports with MB5B?
Hi All,
In BI we have two reports which shows the Quantity, Value and count of the valuated GI and GR movements happened in the inventory at a material-plant level for a given day. Both the reports are built on the cube 0IC_C03(Material Stocks/Movements ). We need to display only those movements which has a value associated with that. Ideally it should match with the R3 report MB5B for stock type "Valuated Stock".
For example,
For movement type 311(storage location to storage location) there are no accounting documents associated with that. Still in the data source it has field u201CStock categoryu201D(BSTTYP) as blank, which indicates that it is a valuated stock. And hence that record is displayed in the BI report. But In MB5B there are no entries for that movement type as there is no value associated with that.
Similarly for movement type 101 (Goods receipt) the stock category, BSTTYP in the data source indicates that it is valuated stock, where as MB5B eliminates those which has no value associated with that.
This is causing a mismatch between the R/3 MB5B and the BI Reports. Is there any method to match the BI reports with the MB5B report in R3?
Thanks in advance,
AlphoHello,

Stock matching problem.
Hi,
The closing stock of Tcode MB5B is not matching with the closing stock of RG1 Register.
We have a custom developed report for RG1 register.
What may be the reasons? Kindly share your suggestions ASAP.
Thanks in advance.

Differne between MB5B and MB5L
Hi,
can anyone tell me difference bet MB5B and MB5L. When I take MB5l for current stock compare
with MB5B current period stock it shows difference why?
Edited by: Anil Patil on Feb 28, 2009 2:39 PMHI Anil,
Here is how it is classified.
MB5B:
The report Stock for posting date lists a company's own stocks in a
particular time period (earliest date 0h00, latest date 24h00).
The posting date is used for selection. Note that the posting date may
be different from the entry date (date entered in the system) as well as
the document date.
Starting with the current stock balance, the report uses the material
documents to calculate the stock balance for the specified posting date.
MB5L:
The report List of stock values: Balance display is used to display the
total quantity and value of the stock of one or more materials at plant
and storage location level.
In addition, the system determines the stock account to which material
is posted in the case of a goods movement.
You can display the balance values for each company code and G/L
account. The balance of the G/L account is compared to the stock value
of the specified material, and any deviation between the two totals is
indicated.
