Can I expad RAM memory up to 8GB?

I bought HP Probook 455 http://laptopy.do2000.pl/produkty-hp-g6v98ea . It has 4GB. Can I expad Ram memory up to 8GB?

Dear Customer, Welcome to HP Support Forum and we are glad to assist you.  Yes, You may upgrade to 8GB memory Please go through the below information: MEMORY
Standard
DDR3L SDRAM (1600 MHz)
Two SODIMM slots supporting dual-channel memory
2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB SODIMMs
Maximum
Upgradeable to 16384 MB with optional 8192 MB SODIMMs in slots 1 and 2
Dual-channel
Maximized dual-channel performance requires SODIMMs of the same size and speed in both memory slots. NOTE: Due to the non-industry standard nature of some third-party memory modules, we recommend HP branded memory to ensure compatibility. If you mix memory speeds, the system will perform at the lower memory speed. With Windows Starter 32-bit operating systems, the amount of usable memory is dependent upon your configuration, so that above 3 GB all memory may not be available due to system resource requirements. Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again  **Click the White Thumbs Up Button on the right to say Thanks**Make it easier for other people to find solutions by marking a Reply 'Accept as Solution' if it solves your problem. Thank You,GBL84Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP

  • Can I upgrade the ram memory of my Macbook air from 4gb to 8gb?

Anybody knows if I can upgrade the ram memory of a Macbook Air from 4gb to 8gb?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
The memory in the MacBook Air is soldered onto the logic board, so you can't upgrade RAM after buying your computer. It's important to buy your MacBook Air with the amount of memory you will use because you won't be able to install more RAM

The Memory Modules link on that page will give you the modules the board has been tested with. Others may work as well, but just haven't been tested.
I didn't check to see if the Kingston are in the tests, but they do work with other boards using the ICH5 chipset.

No need to type in all caps - we HEAR you!
I would take a look at the internal drives offered by both Crucial (click the link "Internal Hard Drives Now Available") and OWC. I would stay away from Western Digital drives as they seem to have problems on a number of Mac models.
You can also shop for RAM at Crucial and OWC - just select the System Scanner tab at the Crucial website to find out which memory is right for your machine.
    Good luck,

  • I want to upgrade my ram from 4GBs to 8GBs, can you help me?

    Dear Apple company,
I have a Macbook 5,4, but I want to upgrade its RAM from 4GBS to 8GBs, can you help me this quest?
                                                                                                                     Thanks,

This is a customer forum, and not Apple folks.  If you wish official or formal Apple assistance, please call Apple directly or visit your local Apple store, or check directly with an Apple reseller.
I don't immediately see a MacBook5,4 around, but I do see a Apple MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.53 GHz 15" model MC118LL/A Mid-2009, and that configuration does reportedly support up to 8 GB of memory per the Apple Specs.
Apple might not stock or offer memory upgrades that far back (but do ask them), though I'd expect various third-party memory providers will likely still have some 4 GB 1066 MHz SO-DIMM DDR3 memory sticks around.
But if yours is really a MacBook5,4 model here — the closest I can find is a MacBook5,2 — then ignore this.

  • I have a iMAC(got it in less than 2 months ago), can I change the memory(upgrade it from 4 GB to 8GB) myself? I mean I need to open the screws and exchange the memory chips. Does it cancel the guarantee?

No, unless you break something or install the wrong RAM, new RAM is not covered by warranty/AppleCare of course.

  • Upgraded my ram/memory to 8gb now having problems

I installed 8GB of Ram into my Aluminum Macbook Late 2008 model and just now read that the maximum allowed is 4GB. My computer works fine most of the time but sometimes it freezes up. But then when I googled it I'm getting mixed responses saying that I can install 8GB as long as its the right one for the system. Any advise? Am I frying my system? It works fine but like I said sometimes it freezes up and it wasn't doing this before.
    Thanks

You are fine. 8 GBs is the maximum you can install.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Of course. Corsair RAM is compatible with your Mac and the Early 2011 MacBook Pro supports 16 GB of memory. Make sure you buy the correct memory for your MacBook Pro. See > http://www.corsair.com/us/memory-by-product-family/mac-memory-upgrades.html

  • Need help: should I get 8gb or 16gb Ram memory?

    Hi,
I'm about to purchase the new macbook pro retina.
I'm going for the standard 13inch model with 256gb ssd.
Standard there are 8gb of ram memory. But I wonder if I should upgrade to 16gb?
I study graphic and digital media. This mean Photoshop, illustrator, indesign Will Be frequently used. Sometimes all together.
Together with that iTunes and internet (many tabs) will be used.
So would I upgrade to 16gb?
I choose the 13 inch version because of mobility.
    Any help is appreciated.

Have a look at this Macworld test from last May, especially the Photoshop test: http://www.macworld.com/article/2034655/lab-tested-the-ramifications-of-addition al-memory-on-a-mac.html
It might also be helpful to look at the AnandTech site, which has comprehensive reviews of the earlier versions of the computer you are considering and is likely to have a review of the latest MacBooks within a week or so: http://anandtech.com
While I understand your preference for the 13" form factor, the advantage of the quad core processor in the 15" is not insignificant. I assume that you will be able to use the 13" with an external display. If not, I think that you may find the 13" screen smaller than desired for the kind of work you have in mind.
    Cheers

  • Can I upgrade my RAM from 4GB to 8GB for my MacBook Pro 13(early 2011 2.7GHz)? And how much would it be?

you can upgrade to 16GB if you wish to do so...
average price for 8GB 1333MHz DDR3 is around $50 - $75 depending on the brand.
why not spend $100 and go with 16GB 1333MHz from Crucial or Corsair.
you can get them from Amazon.com or newegg.com
see image below with 16GB Patriot Mac Series 1333MHz for $100.

  • I have a Mac OSX Version 10.5.8 When I put in my disc to upgrade to snow leopard version 10.6.3 it tells me I need atleast 1gb of ram memory to download. what can I do

I have a Mac OSX Version 10.5.8 When I put in my disc to upgrade to snow leopard version 10.6.3 it tells me I need atleast 1gb of ram memory to download. what can I do

Your iMac can take a total of 2 GBs of RAM Max.
    Maximum Memory
    2.0 GB
    Memory Slots
    2 - 200-pin PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2 SO-DIMM
You will be able to install OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and it will run, but you may not be happy with the performance overall.
OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and later OS X versions use more and more CPU, GPU and RAM resources.
OS X 10.6, by itself, will use between 2-4 GBs of RAM to run quickly, smoothly and efficiently.
Start running additonal applications and your iMac is going to struggle.
Just fair warning if you notice that your iMac is running slower after installing OS X 10.6.
    Good Luck!
