Can I hide certain folders from the 'tree view' under Site Manager - Pages?

In the above image, is there a way to hide the circled folders from the listing?
This will help in reducing confusion and possible breakages.

unfortunately there is not, educate the admins of this site not to touch these folders instead. That's what I do with my clients and it works just fine.

I can't play certain videos from the internet on my macbook.
When using Sarfari or Google Chome, I am unable to play some videos on the internet. News clips, posted videos on blogs, and tv episodes from their own network websites. Youtube videos are fine. I doesn't make sense.
I tried downloading an update for quicktime, but the computer claims that quicktime is up to date. Yet, the videos and tv episodes don't play.
I have checked for the most recent software updates, and everything is up to date. Nothing is wrong with the hardware either.

In addition to Flash, you might need some other plugins. Microsoft videos are mostly in Silverlight, and you'll want Flip4Mac to play WMVs. Perian contains codecs for pretty much every video online.

Problem creating a PDF from the "print view" of a web page

When creating a PDF from the "print view" of a web page, the features in the print dialog box overlap. When the PDF is created, the words are garbled. e.g. words apppear as jzhhhxxf or zxihcj.

Use a job settings that embeds the fonts. If you look at the PDF, the font properties probably do not look correct and don't include embedded fonts. Also, set the printer to Adobe PDF before you try to do a print, so that the web page can try to properly adjust to the printer.
Why not just try opening the web site directly in Acrobat?

I want hide some specific lists from that tree view like Documents, Workflow, Task List, Calender
Lists which are created default when we create a site.
How could i do that?

Can we Hide Measure Folders from a Read Only Session?

I have implemented security on my workspace by scoping the dimensions and hiding the cubes.It worked.
For hiding measure folders, i did similar to hiding of cubes, but it did not work. It threw an error message :
ERROR: (ORA-34706) ACCOUNT_BW.MEASUREFOLDER is not a valid XPRO_OLAP_NON_AGG.OLAP_NON_AGG!ALL_CUBES.
Iam cannot understand why the OLAP DML is checking a measurefolder in ALL_CUBES .
Can anyone help ?

Actually, their should be an easier way - my brain wasn't in full gear yesterday.
Select the file/folder(s) you want to make aliases for and then hold down the command and option key at the same time. Now drag the files/folders to where you want the aliases to be, and hey presto!
Slightly easier than the method I mentioned earlier

Hide some folders from the "Photo" gallery?

I use TrekBuddy, a navigation software. Trekbuddy stores map snippets on the phone, hundreds of little images in graphical format (JPEGs or PNGS).
When I go into "Photos", Under "All"I see thousands of pictures because the phone finds all the map snippets.
How can I hide the map snippets from the "Photo" galery?

Is there a way we can send a message to Nokia about this situation. It is really frustrating. I am very happy with the N8 in everything else, but have the same problem that the photo gallery gets fill up of the song/album images, I also have images for a lot of my contacts on my phone and it is frustrating to try to look for pictures in only one folder where I wish to have them. The other ones I would like to have a folder for contact images, songs, etc.
A lot of people suggest to use apps like folder hide and similar, but that is not the idea, that you have to mark and move the files and then additionally to input a password. Some people need to hide pictures, I only just don't what them to show on my normal gallery display.
Does Nokia read this posts on their forum ?
Will they ever follow users suggestions ?
This is a problem from long time ago, I had it with the with the Nokia nightmare phone N97 which is their worst phone ever. What a pity because they use to do them so well before. For example the N8 is very good, I would have gone for a 1 Ghz processor and some extra RAM, but who knows who is the crazy guy behind those decisions.
Hope we find a solution some day to this folder problem.

CAN'T SEE SHARED FOLDERS FROM THE PC ON MY MAC SINCE SNOW LEOPARD UPGRADE

HELP! Ever since I've installed Snow Leopard on my iMac, I don't see my folders I selected for sharing from the Microsoft PC computer in my network anymore. I can't seem to locate anything. However the PC is able to see the folders from my iMac. If anyone has solutions to this problem, your help would greatly be appreciated.

The problem in my case, seems to be that the SL mac is not setting itself as the master browser, so when a Windows PC is switched on, it doesn't update that computer in the finder sidebar.
You can see if this is the case, by opening terminal, and typing:
nmblookup -M -- -
If it comes back with "name_query failed to find name _MSBROWSE_#01" then you've got the same problem as me. With Leopard, my mac would report back as the master browser.
It's got nothing to do with the firewall (I've tried turning mine off ,to no avail). Also, my workgroup is correct, and smb sharing is turned on for the user.

Well i want my application not show in the toolbar at the bottom where my START button is, like a dialog window. I am not sure if you can do this with a frame and didnt know what the toolbar at the bottom of my screen would be known as so i didnt know what to type in the search bar.:(:(.

JInternalFrame inside that. Then have the internal
frame maximized to fill the JWindow to look like a

I can't download certain app from the app store

Everytime I try and redownload app a message pops up once i enter my id and password that says "this app is free in the store, this item will be added to purchases and available even if your family sharing changes" I know family sharing is new with ios8 but i don't even have that set up/is it even available. Help!

Having the same message, but it won't download the app no matter how many times I click the download button. That is, the message keeps popping up after I click download and it doesn't download. Even stopping a couple of apps updating as well - when I say to update same cycle starts.

Hide certain steps in the execution view

I am trying to modify the TestStand 4.0 simple OI using C# 2005 for the OI and LabVIEW 8.2.1 for the test development.
In many ways, there is more on this "simple" interface than an operator needs to see.
The execution window is too verbose. I would like to not display step types such as flow control, message box, and action. I have not been able to find anything in the TS classes to help me with this besides creating my own output window, which seems is a bit excessive.
Is there a way to implement step filtering?

Currently, there is not a quick and easy solution to the question posed by John J. However, there has been a specific (as opposed to general) solution found on the forums, but it is done for a simple operator interface in LabVIEW, not in C#. This link will take you to that forum discussion. Once you see how Josh's simple operator interface was done in LabVIEW, you should be able to compare the changes in LabVIEW with the original simple operator interface, and apply those changes to your code in C#. If you do not have LabVIEW installed on your computer, I would then recommend downloading the evaluation version of LabVIEW from here.

Hide content type from the new menu but show in edit form

SharePoint Online, I have following 4 site content types Word Document Excel document PowerPoint document General document
These content types are being used in a document library and "Word Document" is the default content type, When user clicks on "new" menu, all 4 content types are shown.
I don't want to show "General document" in the new menu but I want to show in edit form, I have marked it hidden in the library settings but now it is not visible in the edit form.
Any idea how can I hide content type from the new button but show in edit form?

Whether you use SharePoint online 2013.
If we hide the content type in the library settings, the content type will not be displayed in both new menu and edit form.
To accomplish your qequirement, we need to use css code:

What happened to all of the options under Site Manager?

There used to be tons of options under Site Manager:
Pages
Page Templates
Module Templates
Content Holders Menus
Web Forms
File Manager
Etc.
Now I only have two:
Web Forms
System Emails
What happened to all of the extra options, and how do I access them now? Seems like it only happened since the BC updates.
I have an Ecommerce BC Plan, so I should have everything.

Turns out it was something simple. I created a ticket, and got the answer back. I clicked on "my details" under my name in the top right. I then checked and enabled "content editing". Somehow it must have gotten disabled because I was using Muse.

Sometimes depending on the SD card (you set the sd card to be where photos are sent) and then place a security code on the files and photos. I know this can be done on a computer not 100% sure about a cell phone.
Another option is to have the photos sent to Picassa (going to be Google+ shortly) or Photo bucket or other web spots for photos or even Drop Box etc. this way your photos are away from the phone, and only the ones on the phone you don't care about remain on the cell
So I hope it works out ok for you.

Hide/disable certain areas from the Overview page of ESS in portal

We have a requirement where we need to hide/disable certain areas from the "Overview" page of ESS in portal.
In Overview page, we have certain links like Employee search,Life and work events,
Purchasing and travel and expenses.
I m not able to find these pages under overview workset also.
We have to hide 'Purchasing' and 'life and work events' areas from the overview page as the customer dosent want to use this sap standard impl.
Is the customiztion to be done from portal side or do we need to do it from the IMG??
Can someone pls tell us in detail how to do it?

Inorder to hide/diable certain areas from the Overview page of ESS you need to do it from the IMG.
The detail steps are as follows:
1) After logging in to your backend, run Transaction code SPRO.
2) Select the SAP Reference IMG button.
3) Follow the path: Cross-Application Components >> Homepage Framework >>
Areas/Sub Areas.
4) In the Assign SubAreas to Areas OR Assign Areas to Area Group Pages (depending on your requirement), to hide the particular area , set the Position value to 0 for the Area / SubArea that you wish to hide.
5) After making the changes, Refresh the Portal browser page to reflect the new changes.

I had the same problem, and it was solved by going to the Mailbox menu and selecting "rebuild."
