Can I keep firefox at a 125% zoom level? I use my HDTV as a monitor and would like the view to be larger without having to hit "ctrl +" on each web page.
I would like firefox to default to a 125% zoom level. Is ther a way I can do this through firefox or through my desktop?
The following Add-on will allow you to set whatever default %-age works best for you. After install, go to Add-ons > Extensions > Default FullZoom Level > Options, in the Options window, "Default FullZoom Level (percent)". That will set ALL pages at your choice.

Can there be more than one icloud account on a computer? I have an icloud account with my iphone but would like to view my photo stream on my husbands mac. I do not have a mac but an older PC. thanks

The simple answer is yes you can. On a single user computer, the user can have secondary iCloud accounts, which they can add through the system preferences > mail, contacts and calendars. The only drawback here is that only the primary iCloud account can use photo stream. This can be worked around by having a second user account on the Mac. Each user account could then have a different primary iCloud account, one for you and one for him, your account could then receive your photo stream pictures.
Are you also aware that you can have iCloud on your PC and download your photos stream pictures to it. -
How can I keep Firefox from saving my my last visited websites, even after I log out and Force Quit?
I quit and Force Quit Firefox when I log out of my MacBook Pro. Lately when I re-start Firefox, it has saved my last few visited websites and asks me if I'd like to restore these, or quit. How can I get Firefox to stop saving these sites and really quit?
hello, this is currently a problem in firefox when you first close all open firefox windows and then close the application afterwards - the bug should be addressed in a later version of firefox.
as a workaround in the meanwhile you could close firefox (through firefox > quit) while the browser window is still running or try this: enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named '''browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash'''. double-click it and change its value to '''false'''. -
In IE the page can either be set to 100% or whatever you wish, and once set future pages open up displayed the same way. With FF every time I open a page I have to hit ctrl+ about 3 or 4 times to get it to fill the screen
I have tried changing the default font to 16 with a min of 16 and not letting the page decide etc. I am sure that this has been asked before, but I have not used FF in several years.

Many people have this experience with Windows 8, which is becoming a byword for unpopularity.
Still, a bit of basic understanding is important. People have got used to just getting a new version of Windows and using it, without training or study. Not any more, thanks to Microsoft's bright ideas.
Here are some very crucial things about Windows 8.
1. Windows 8 has a new kind of app (program). These new kinds of apps take over the whole screen. Microsoft thinks these are the future. I won't tell you what I think. Except, if this new world is so great, why don't Microsoft use it for their own Office apps. A
2. The old world of Windows 7 and before is still available with most Windows 8 computers, except some cheap tablets and phones. Microsoft like to call this an app called "Desktop" which is really all of the old-fashioned, windows-can-be-resized, apps together.
3. Most apps are "new world" or "old world". Everything in the App Store is new world - that's the rule. A few apps (like Internet Explorer) can run in either world.
4. Windows 8 comes with a PDF reader "out of the box". This runs only in the new world and it's called "Microsoft Reader". Don't bother with it.
5. Adobe produce a "new world" PDF reader called "Adobe Reader Touch". Marginally better than Microsoft Reader, it's just not a patch on the old one; there are loads of things it doesn't do, and worst of all it's always full screen because Microsoft said so. No need to use it. Just download the old world Reader from http://get.adobe.com/reader as usual. (Be sure to turn off the unwanted "free offers"!!) -

After having a mac.com email for nearly 10 years I fell for a scam email and now am getting spammed daily in my email account. I use this email account for everything and would like to either block the spam emails - although that's hard since they change their email address daily - or just get a new icloud email address. I've researched this and have not found this easy. Any suggestions on how to change my icloud email account? Keep in mind all my devices are connected through this email including iTunes. Any help is appreciated - thanks!
To get a new iCloud address you would have to create a new iCloud account and migrate your iCloud data to the new account. If you want to do this, go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account, and when prompted about what to do with the iCloud data choose Keep on [My iDevice]. Then set up a new iCloud account with a new ID, turn you iCloud data syncing back to On, and when prompted choose Merge to upload your data to the new account. When you turn Mail to On you will get a new @icloud email address (@mac and @me addresses are no longer available). Once your data is in the new account, you can just delete the old account from your other devices without saving the data on the device, then sign into the new one and the migrated data in the new account will be synced back to them.
If you need to, you can change your iTunes ID to this new email address. This guide explains how to change an Apple ID name, but you can follow this and edit the primary email address instead to change it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HE40. -

You get that message any time you download an executable file. It is safe to open as long as you download from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

I cannot find an add-on or other feature of Firefox to enable me to enlarge the web screen a bit for ease in reading. I have already adjusted my Windows visual settings, but these do not seem to affect Firefox. IE allowed me to do so-- is there an add-on in Firefox so that I needn't hit Cntrl-+ on every web page to enlarge the font?
The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox.

hi, my firefox and safari are both having difficulty loading certain parts of web pages. previous to this my firefox would freeze and state that a script was not responding. i would stop the script and reload the page and everything would be fine. now though the pages just load very very slowly or load leaving out certain pictures and video content. i've tried clearing my cache's and cookies, resetting my browser etc, but it seems like its a system issue as both safari and firefox are having issues. i've run Avast to screen for malware and it came up empty. any suggestions?

I am using pages '09. I have been trying to put together a report and I am using tables to help keep my data in line. My data is free text and would like to footnote certain data as to it origin, but footnoting is grey-out. How can I footnote in table mode inpages '09?
Footnotes can only be inserted in the main text area between the margins on a Word Processing document.
