Can I re-direct the output of a UMI-7764 AO to another board (6233) AO?

I have an existing application which I am trying to update to isolate
the motor / encoder / servo amplifier from PC ground. To this end
I have installed opto-isolation circuitry and power isolation on the
UMI-7764 to isolate my digital IO signals. I still have a leakage
path from the AO on the 7764 to the servo amplifier. I do have a
PCI-6233 in this setup, used for measuring isolated analog
signals. Is it possible to modify my labview control software to
re-direct the AO from the 7764 to the 7233 AO to isolate the signal
using the Configure Axes Resources.flx? Otherwise a hardware
route will need to be taken using an isolation amplifier (not
preferred).

Hi Stefan,
Unfortunately you will not be able to route the AO Ground through your 6233 if you are using our FlexMotion subVIs. These VIs have been specially designed to work with our Motion Controller cards so will only communicate with them. You mention using our UMI 7764, that is simply a breakout box, which motion controller card are you using?
Also, what are you using to confirm that the AO Ground is 'leaking'?

Hello,
There is no way to directly inject noise into the USB transfer lines unless you opened up the board and wired something to the USB system.
Other than that, USB has a standard hardware interface. If you have motors or other devices that produce strong magnetic fields, they might induce current that could corrupt USB data transfers. Barring that and other environmental noise, you can just depend on the USB standards.
If this isn't what you are asking about, please write back with exactly what you are doing that can inject noise into the USB data transfer.

What are all the ways that can add fields in the output list of FBL3N transaction?

Hello dear experts,
There is this transaction FBL3N, which you might be aware of. Now, the requirement is to add 4 new fields in the output list of the standard program.
The fields are:
NAME1   KNA1
LOKKT    BSEG
USNAM   BKPF
TXT50      SKA1 -> SKAT
Please tell me how to do this apart from implementing the note 310886. What are the other ways?

I agree, start reading 984305 - Line item: Definition of special fields (T021S)
Then for non BSEG/BKPF fields, better use BAdI FI_ITEMS_CH_DATA (1323512) and not the good old BTE 1650, the BAdI will be called once with the full internal table with special fields already filled, when the BTE will be executed for each and every record without special fields, so harder to optimize, and may require access to BKPF/BSEG for missing fields.

Can I change all the outputs on all the tracks at the same time?

When switching from my home with my interface (output 3-4) to somewhere else where I don't have my interface, I have to change each track individually to output 1-2 so I can hear it. It takes forever because I have several tracks. Can I do them all at the same time?

with the mixer window open, highlight all the tracks, you do this by clicking and dragging over all of them, or hold shift and select each one. now your tracks will be temporarily linked.. and what ever you do to one track will effect all of them. Cheers.

How can I manually direct the path I want into my PC folders???

on my laptop, my company has what's called a "Personal Profile" for me. I have a limited profile space that I can take up. My Personal Profile space is everything in "My Documents" PLUS everything in my "Application Data". When I exceed this "profile space" I can't update my roaming profile, can't shut my computer down, etc.
Ok, so here's the situation.
I just got an iPad. I downloaded iTunes and installed in on my laptop for sync purposes. When I added all my songs to my iTunes library (from my PC at home) it automatically dumped these in "MY Music" under "My Documents" and I went WAY over my profile space maximum. I easily remedied this by going into the preferences in iTunes and changing the default folder location for iTunes media files.
However, "album art" is (apparently) a different folder altogether and is not associated with the media files within iTunes. iTunes AUTOMATICALLY created a folder in "My Music" called iTunes. In that folder is another folder called "Album Art". That folder is still causing me problems with my profile space. As I mentioned, all of my iTunes media has been moved and so I'm cool there. So, I went in and deleted the folder "Album Art" under "My Music". Solved the problem. But then, when I fired up iTunes, of course, all of my album art was blank. iTunes automatically updated and automatically RE_CREATED the file called "Album Artwork" under "My Music", so now I'm back over my profile limit again.
I can not find anywhere in iTunes that allows me to specify my path or location for Album Art. If I move or delete the file, iTunes automatically re-creates it.
What can I do?

Anyhoo. You need to move your itunes database to the other folder.
THen the artwork folders will follow.
This is the file to move
iTunes LIbrary.itl
After you move it, you need to do a shift-start of iTunes to tell it to use the new location.
Press AND HOLD the shift key until you see a prompt. Coose the new location. Itunes will continue to use that new place until you do another shift-start.

Direct the output of query results to a table

Hence I would have a copy of employee table in the newly created

How can I control stepping motor with PCI-7344 & UMI-7764? And I want to know the simplest circuit that I can do by myself?

Now I don't want to by commercial stepping motor driver, I want to do it by myself. I want to know the simplest driver circuit to drive and control my stepping motor (+5V 4 phases).

From the 7344's perspective, in open loop stepper mode, the only necessary outputs are the pulse train for steps and a TTL flag for direction. You can also set it for CW/CCW mode, which will output two separate pulse trains: one for clockwise motion, one for counter-clockwise motion.
If you only need to decode the signals into four phases and not amplify them above 5V, then a small IC might work for you (as long as you don't need a lot of current). A reconfigurable FPGA could be programmed to decode the incoming signal and output the four phases pretty easily. However, I honestly believe your best bet is just to buy a recommended amplifier for the motors.

Do I need to enable something in MAX to turn on Iso Power for the outputs of a UMI?

I've been trying to set up a UMI-7772 to control some servo drives. I have V, C, Viso and Ciso inputs connected to a 24V power supply. When turned on, both the V and Viso lights turn on green. However, I cannot measure any voltage difference between the Iso Power and Iso Common pins on the Dsub outputs. Is there something in MAX I need to enable to get the UMI to turn on?

Hi Mike,
there is no switching circuitry on the UMI, that could disable the Iso Power outputs and there is nothing you need to configure in MAX. If you can't measure a voltage between Iso Power and Iso Common pins on the Dsub outputs, the UMI might be defective (e. g. blown fuse). Please contact your local NI branch for repair options.

I lost my computer some years ago. Its a PC, what did I expect. I cant stand thinking that all of that music is just lost!

For music that was download from the iTunes store, see this article about the possibility of redownloading it all at no cost. However, you must live in the US and be using iTunes 10.3 or later for it to work.

How can I have a custom output file destination for each different preset?

I have a bunch of presets in AME but I need to have each preset export to it's own folder. How can I do that? This was a really simple thing to do in Compressor but in Media Encoder is seems like I can only specify one output file destination for the whole application in general and everything gets exported to that folder. Can anyone help me with that please?

This is a user to user forum. It is not staffed by Adobe employees so you will not always get a direct response from Adobe.
That being said, the output destination is not tied to the presets so this is not possible without a little extra work. You can change multiple output destinations by selecting multiple jobs and then clicking on one of the output locations to update them all. Another way to set this up would be to use watch folders.

How to read back the output state for digital output or anlog output ?

I use NI-pci 6221(68PIN) Accquistion card to do measurmet,after i do digital output ,or anlog output ,I find that the output will be maitained by the card.even after i exit my accquistion program.But if i reset the card ,the ouptut also will be reset.
Now if i don't reset the card ,how can i read back the output state,?

Hi Mike,
There is no way for you to internally route an analog output to an analog input. The only solution is to physically connect the two lines together with a wire.
I came to this conclusion through the following steps:
1- Start MAX and select the DAQmx device under "Devices and Interfaces>>NI-DAQmx Devices" that you want to internally route signals through.
2- Click on the "Device Routes" tab on the bottom of the right hand window (It defaults to the "Attributes" tab)
3- Line up the Source with the Destination to see if the connection can be internally routed (either direct or indirect)
I came to the above conclusion by following these steps for a PCI-6251 DAQ device (the analog output & input do not exist in the "Device Routes" tab therefore they do not support internal routing), but you should verify this for your specific hardware. Let me know if you have any other questions/concerns.

I have aproject that use the java applet to transmit a vedio and audio over the internet network to do a video conference application with other applet at another computer at the network..
I want to support the application so that the user that enter the conference can select the bandwidth of the internet he/she use and then accordin to choice i control the quality of the stream transmitted..
So i want any one can help me with any way can be used to reduce the quality( or resolution) of the output stream so the user can be comfortable with the output..

For audio use GSM codec. It just takes 12kbps of your bandwidth.
For video, if you need "ok" quality with low bandwidth, use H.263 codec and for good quality, but higher bandwidth use JPEG codec. below are complete functions on how to reduce qualities for both codecs (or at least try to). But before you have to create a video Processor (see AVTransmit3.java and AVReceive3.java examples on the net).

This will reduce your H.263 codec's bit rate to 80kbps. You cannot set less than that. I tried with many webcams and that's the least I could go.
