i need to update my Power mac G5 to mountain lion, so i was wondering i am able to purchase mountain lion and update from there if I'm running OSX 10.4.11, or do i need to go from a newer version of software?

It sounds like you are wanting to update the Apps that were synced over from your computer to your new iPhone 5s. If you are clicking Updates in the App Store in the bottom right corner, would you mind clarifying what happens when you are trying to update them?

Depends on what Mac you have. If it is a PPC (G4 or G5) Mac then Leopard 10.5.8 is as far as you can go.
If it is an Intel Mac:
Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

Please helpThe version of Acrobat you have is a PowerPC application and will not run on Mountain Lion. You will need to upgrade/purchase an Intel version of Acrobat Pro, probably Version 9.
It might have been worth checking to see if the apps you run are supported on ML before upgrading. If you backed up your system before the upgrade you could always revert to your previous level. -
One day my iphone 5 lost 50% battery power (standby+do not disturb+cleared multitasking) from 8am to 3:30 pm. What can i do? Or will apple release a new software?
I am a lucky customer of two of these storms....once which arent 3 weeks old and the first one the one that was my phone locked up in the first week and i was mashing the screen not hard and the **bleep** thing broke...well verizon says you have 30 days till you can no longer buy the phone insurance and who would of thought in my first week the **bleep** touch screen would break by me tapping on it trying to get the locked up software to respond....and guess what verizon said there is nothing they can do to a phone with a cracked screen....and also both phones blackberrry storms that were sent to me were used equipement. but I am still repsponsible for the two contract agreement and I cant even use the **bleep** phone...also they say you can add insurance within 30 days of new purcchase not the phone that was malfuntioned and the screen cracked....but they let me add it to the second line....i think its very dirty of verizon to send used phones with two contracts to someone and it malfuntion like that and not replace the phone...and still hold the customer responsible for two year contract...after all the **bleep** trouble the storms have been giving customers...thats why they are sending the **bleep** things out free of charge...dont get scammed and screwed like I did go with Tmobile or att..

For my Mac Pro, after I downloaded the new Mavericks OS, I downloaded the new pages. However, I still can't open iCloud pages from iPad. Says that I need a new version of Pages on my Mac.
Please help.It appears that you are launching the old version, probably using an icon in your Dock. That icon is an alias & is not updated. You will need to go to your Applications folder & find the new Pages 5 icon & double-click it. Once it is launched, you can right-click on the icon & choose Options > keep in Dock from the contextual menu.

Can I create separate folders to save media on my Airport Time Capsule? Issue is I have a 256GB HDD Mac Pro Retina which is almost full. TC will only take backup of my HDD. So where would I save my photos and videos from my iPhone and iPad?
It is a hard one.. laptops with small drives are a pain.
What you need is a home media server.
Some people use a PC running itunes for cost.. but that is nothing like as good as using a Mac mini.. they make great little HTPC device.. you can plug in large hard disks and store all your files and media. And share it with the network.. Read up apple's instructions on home sharing.

For cost you can buy a mini from 2011 or 2012.. I would not recommend earlier ones.. the advantage of 2012 is they have USB3 ports. But you will pay more for them.. new mini is not as useful.. they have soldered in memory and you cannot upgrade.. the old mini was the most easily modified mac in the whole range. Uses little power and can be bought for a $300US for a good one second hand.. maybe less. -
I am having a problem when I plug my iPod into my macbook. When I plug the cable into my mac I get the following message - "Because a USB device was drawing too much power from your computer, your USB device has been disabled." CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!
The rest of the message in the pop up window says "To prevent damaging your computer, the USB device drawing too much power has been disabled. Other devices may have also been disabled. When you disconnect the device drawing too much power, your other USB devices will be enabled again."

How do I undo an update to pages 2.1 on an iPad 2? I can no longer open a document previously saved, even when I try to open it in the iCloud and on my Mac.
With IOS Pages v2.0 and v2.1, Apple introduced a new document format that is incompatible with prior Pages versions on IOS or OS X Pages ’09. Opening older documents with these recent versions of Pages will permanently prevent the document from opening in earlier versions of Pages on IOS or OS X.
Nice of Apple to warn people.
There is no undo of an iTunes application update, short of forcing iTunes to restore IOS v6 back on that iPad 2. Even if you did that, you won't find the IOS Pages v1.7.2 in the iTunes store now.
IOS Pages v2+ will allow you to export content in Word .docx format. You do this by first tapping the box with an up-arrow in it (next to the left-most +). A menu will slide up — choose Send a Copy. Select a document icon. Pick Mail, and then Word. Your Pages v2.1 document will now be converted to Word .docx, and attached to an email body. Fill in the to address and send. -

Apple released Pages 5.0 to run on Maverics only. They completely rewrote the program for Maverics and 64 bit compatibility. They failed to explain that this version is missing much of the previous version's capability and that it cannot read older Pages files. When they install it they leave the older Pages 4.3 in place because it is the only way to read the older Pages files and upgrade them to a level that can be read by Pages 5!
If you still have Pages 4.3 on your computer it will tell you what to do. If you do not then go into your backups and retrieve it.
Because of the deficiences of Pages 5 I have removed it from my Mac and gone back to working with Pages 4.3. I have also removed Pages 2 from my iPad and found Pages 1.7 in the Time Machinew backups and brought it forward and droped it onto the iTunes icon to restore it and then synced the iPad to get the Pages 1.7 running again - it is compatible with Pages 4.3 on the Mac so all is back to normal for me.
Apple say that they will fix many of the deficiences in Pages 5 in the next six months. I suggest you wait until then and keep an eye on these communities beforte considering the "upgrade".
Incedentaly Pages 5.0 writes files that cannot be read by anything else including Pages 4.3 - better hope no one sends you one! It does not save RTF either - what where they thinking! -
As I mentioned, there is an error while trying to update photoshop, camera raw, etc. I receives message when you try to download the update, an error occurred. Exit and try again later.

I have icloud. I have backed up my photos from my iPhone 5 to my iPad. Can I now delete the photos from my phone and they will stay on my iPad? I need to clear space in order to run an update.
I get the following warning message when deleting a shared Phoyo Stream:
"Name of Stream" will be deleted from all of your devices and the devices of subscribers."
It pops up because that is what will happen. It does not mean photos stored locally in iPhoto on your Mac will be deleted.
If iPhoto is set to automatically import photos in your Photo Stream and store locally on Mac, you are covered with photos copied to "My Photo Steam". I don't believe that includes the photos in a shared photo stream you create or that you accept which was created by someone else. I can add photos to a shared stream from photos on my iPhone that were transferred from my computer. If those were saved by iPhoto on my Mac as well which are already in iPhoto on my Mac, I would not want that. -
I can not get ny updates and therefore not use Java, as it only run updates for MAC 10.7. and later. How do i get the updates to install and use JAVA ?
In Snow Leopard you update Java from Software Update (in the Apple menu). You can check your version by opening Terminal and typing
java -version
(don't get creative and type anything else)
The latest version is 1.6.0_65.
