Can not call web service created by workbench ES

I created a process in LiveCycle ES Workbench, a webservice is created automatically after activate this process.
I can see my wsdl on this path below.
http://myserver:port/soap/services/my_process?wsdl
After that, I created form in designer 8.1 then I call my web service.
but appear "Error attempting to read from file"
Please help me to solve this error.
Thank you.
Phatthalaphon.

Another possible reason is that you are behind an NTLM authenticating proxy and don't have the "Display PDF in browser" option selected. This type of authentication is used by Microsoft ISA proxies (and probably a few others).
The following describes how a web browser makes a connection to a web site behind a NTLM proxy:
1) Request for the resource sent to the proxy.
2) Proxy replies with "407 Proxy Authentication Required" and a challenge.
3) Browser gets the required proxy credentials (usually the current Windows credentials) and hashes them with the challenge.
4) Browser re-requests the resource, this time with the hashed response in the header "Authorization".
5) Once the proxy verifies the credentials, it then forwards the request on to the actual resource.
Unfortunately Adobe Reader thinks that the "407 Proxy Authentication Required" is the actual response from the resource and tries to process it (which will fail with "Error attempting to read from file"). I can prove this is what was happening by looking at an Ethereal dump of the communication from Adobe Reader. I have explained the problem to a couple of Adobe people and they both think that this issue will not be resolved (in the near future anyway - see http://forms.stefcameron.com/2007/05/21/connecting-to-a-web-service/#comment-2970)
We had to abandon a project (a fair way into it too) that made use use of a Reader Extended interactive PDF that would submit all of it's data once completed because of this reason.
Thankfully along came Form Guides! Because Form Guides use the Flash Player which in turn uses the browser's connection (which must have already completed the NTLM authentication before it downloads that .swf).
Hope this helps and is relevant.

    Hey bobupton!
Try going into the printer's EWS and using Google's public DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4). It sounds like you know what you're doing so I skipped a few steps on how to get there but if you need more help with it let me know!

  • Why tuxedo7.1 or Tuxedo6.5 can not call the service on Tuxedo8.0 server

Why tuxedo7.1 or Tuxedo6.5 can not call the service on Tuxedo8.0 server.
I wrote the Server Application with Tuxedo version 8.0.
And used tuxedo71 WS client to call the service.
The client application displayd tpinit fail.
ULog told me "prv7.1 not allowed, use -t option on wsl".
Is there any way to solve this problem?
    thanks!

    risen,
Yes there is a way to solve this. As the error message suggests, use the -t
option on your WSL server. Look at

  • Calling Web Service created in XI 3.0 from Web Dynpro

i hv created a webservice in XI 3.0. Here im accessing a RFC through XI 3.0.
Now, using java proxy generation facility of XI 3.0 i hv generated the code for tht web service. Then in web dynpro i developed a j2ee application using the generated code. my requirement begins now....... i hv my frontend as web dynpro n through this frontend i want to access that application so tht all the data present in tht j2ee application gets populated in a table on the corresponding view in web dynpro. i tried to use the web service model and written some code but still im unable to successfully do it. i get a message in the integration server of XI 3.0 but the table doesnt get populated. please help me out in this problem.

Question is what technology of J2EE u are using!
If it is EJB, then the fastest way would be to generate one more webservice and connect this one to WD.
This way you also can check if the webservice delivers any data with the testing environment.

  • Why JDEVADF11.1.1.3 can not test web service in IE for  Integrated WebLogic

    Hi,
Testing a web service deployed to Integrated WebLogic Server.
1.When you deploy the web service to Integrated WebLogic Server, examine the contents of the log window. Find http://IP_address:port/Project1-context-root/MyWebService1
2.Copy the URL and paste it into browser. The browser shows a simple page which lists the operations available on the service.
3.Enter a parameter, and click Enter. The result from the web service is displayed.
    My question:
Why only display Web Services Endpoint and Information . Can not have Enter a parameter and operations available on the service.
HttP analyzer test web service is OK.
    Thanks

    Hi,
That is because you are looking at the endpoint information.
If you want to test the service in a browser, then you can use the Weblogic Test Client.
When your Integrated WLS is running, point the browser to the following url: http://localhost:7101/wls_utc/
    Thanks,

  • Can not activate Web Services

Hi all! I want to activate ePrint, but activating Web Services is not working at all. The server can't be found is the message I'm getting, both on my machine using the Web Services button and also when I'm logged in using my browser. The Wifi sign is giving a nice blue steady signal on the printer, and making the Wifi connection wiith my router was easy since it had a WPS button. According other topics I changed also to manual IP and changed the DNS servers, but still server not found. For example this topic is what I did, and what you also see in below images. Can somebody help please.  I also included some pictures of settings.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Community!I hope you have a pleasant experience here. I'd like to help you with the web services connection errors you are getting on your HP Officejet Pro X476 dw printer. I can see based on the second picture you've uploaded that you are using the printer wirelessly? (If using it on a wired connection, you'll need to make the IP and DNS changes under Wired on the left hand side of the page in the screenshot) The DNS listed in the image is 8.8.8.8 and 8.4.4.4, the correct secondary DNS should actually be 8.8.4.4. I'm not entirely sure if this will make a difference for you, but I'd certainly recommend making the change and giving it a try. I'd also recommend trying a Level 3 DNS instead (since this is a commerical unit). Try 209.244.0.3 for the Primary DNS, and 209.244.0.1 as the Secondary DNS. Another suggestion I would make, would be to download and run the firmware update utility for your product to make sure that the firmware is up to date. It's very common to have issues connection to the web services server, when the firmware of your product is out of date. You can download the firmware update utility here: HP Officejet Pro X476dw Multifunction PrinterNOTE: Before you run the update utility, please make sure the printer is connected via USB. When running the update over wireless, you run the risk of interruptions during the update that may cause harm to the machine. I hope this helps!

  • Can not execute web service out of vc modelled in nwds

    Hi,
I am working on CE 7.11 and modelled in NWDS a VC model. I am using several web services. The web services was found by Service Registry and could be added to the vc model without any problems.
But when I deploy my vc model and try to execute a service I got two errors:
Error occurred while identifying the destination : Destination CE2 not found
    Error occurred during Destination Lookup
I know that I have to set something, somewhere but I do not know where. I could cry!
    May somebody help me please?
    Regards

    Hi,
thats really crazy. You lead me to a new thinking and after hours I got my example running!
    In NWDS:
When I search and add the web service over the Service Registry and right click at the method > Configure > Target Component I see that NWDS takes as System alias "CE2". Thats wrong because, actually it should take the service name!
To handle this problem at Window > Preferences > Web Service Configuration I define new service, refresh my service search in NWDS and add it to the model. Now at "Configure > Target Component" I have the correct system alias.
As final step I only have to define in NWA a HTTP Destination with the exactly same name as defined in System alias.
But do you know why NWDS takes wrong "System alias" over Service Registry menue?

ITS ON MY DMZ SEGMENT WHAT DO I LOOK FOR?
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP
    JOHN

    Hello,
The first thing I would do is follow step six in this document to set a static IP: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02817031&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4023246&tmp...
When it askes for DNS information, enter in Google's DNS. Preferred DNS = 8.8.8.8 Alt DNS = 8.8.4.4
If the printer is on a corporate network, it may require a proxy to get an internet connection.
If that does not help, if you could provide me with the following information it would help me out. First, who is your ISP( Internet Service Provider, i.e. Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, ect.)? Second, who is the maker of your router? Lastly, what is the model number and firmware version of your router?

  • Calling web service from Obiee

    Hi,
I want to get data from webservice and show the results in a dashboard.
    I checked http://www.artofbi.com/index.php/2009/08/consuming-a-web-service-in-obiee-presentation-services-using-jquery-cdn/ web site.
But the author is retrieving data from a web page by sending parameter to querystring like

But as I know we can not call web services with parameters like this.
How can I call web service from BI?
Could you please suggest articles or sample codes, documents etc.
    Regards,

    Hi,
I controlled this document. The document is explaining Oracle BI web services for extracting information from Oracle BI and showing them in other environments. But I want to get results from a web service ( for example a web service which returns currency rates, weather information or sharepoint lists) and then represent them in Oracle BI Dashboards.

  • Calling web services

    Hi,
How can I call web services from Oracle BI?
My web service has a method (GetEventList) which take some parameters and returns a list.
Can I call this web service method from a dashboard and then show it in there?
    Thanks&Regards

    Hi,
it`s a pity, that OBIEE does not offer a solution to directly send requests to external webservices and show their results within an answer. Before i tried OBI 11g, i hoped that there would be some improvements regarding that functionality in contrast to OBI 10g.
    Workarounds:
1.) In Oracle BI Publisher you can directly call a webservice and get back its results within a report. You could then put that report onto a dashboard. (I do not know whether this is already possible in Oracle BI Publisher 10g
2.) OBI 11g Action Framework. You could put a link onto your dashboard, which calls a webservice. After the webservice sent a response, an information dialog is shown, which can be used to present some general info regarding the webservices' return values.
3.) Create an ASP.NET/JSP-File which calls your Webservice and presents its results in HTML. You could then embed this ASP/JSP-File via an IFrame into your dashboard.
    4.) PL/SQL-Wrapper as mentioned before
Conclusion: Oracle should improve this functionality by allowing people to directly call Webservices from Answers.

    Hi,
Jason Straub's excellent [Flexible Web Service API|http://jastraub.blogspot.com/2008/06/flexible-web-service-api.html] could be just what you need.
The blog posting also describes how to integrate the code into your page.
    Regards,
    Georger

    Hi
Can we call web service through loop, If so how we can do.
I wanted to transfer n records ex:100. to pass one record i need to call web service, like that to pass 100 records i need to call 100 times webservices and store results of each.
Have created web reference and form so that it can send one record on submit and return's result to text box.
I need to call this Web Service Request     page process through another plsql process.
    How can we resolve this.
    Thanks
