Can't access Netflix

Two days ago I was unable to access Netflix on my Apple TV. The app kept asking me to login with my Netflix membershop info. I called Netflix and they suggested it is an Apple TV problem. Anyone else having difficulties?

Are you trying to do an initial set up on a new Apple TV unit? I had the same thing on my screen. After hours of trying different things, and reading so many ideas on this site, here's what solved this for me:
On Apple TV: Settings / General / Network/ WIFI, and change the wifi from your home network, to another one (I used a personal hotspot on my mobile) & this worked immediately. Once it accepts the wifi pass word and says you're connected (or something similar) use the Menu button on remote, to go back (repeatedly) until you arrive at the screen of multiple apps and options including Netflix. Then, go back into settings and change your wifi back to your home wifi network. It worked for me and I am now (finally) enjoying Netflix on my TV Sorry if this sounds confusing, hope this helps!

In IL Apple TV was working fine and able to access Netflix with no problems. Presently in FL for the month and don't get the list of programming, especially Netflix. Any help will be appreciated.

I had similar problem along with HBOGO also not working and I restored my ATV and now everything works. Sometimes even pulling the plug for 10-20 seconds will "reboot" the ATV. Hope this helps!

I had this same problem when I installed the REMOTE application on my ipad. Everything on the list was affirmative, but had the same problem not being able to connect to my iTunes.
What is missing? Is there a firewall setting that could be causing this?

I don't mean to be facetious but sometimes the simplest things are overlooked. To connect to your library you have to have the computer where the iTunes library is located running and with iTunes open. It also needs to be on the same network. My network is dual band and works with either stream but a friend of mine does not. He has to set the computer and the Apple TV to the same band. Hope this helps.

Unplug the ATV from power, wait 15-20 second and plug it back in.
Also, do the same with the router.

Can connect to Netflix etc, via the MacBook, but cannot access on HDMI TV using Airport Express.

I just chose a trial Netflix account. I can connect with Netflix or Youtube, etc via the MacBook, but can't access anything when trying to access same on my HDMI TV through my new Toshiba Blue Ray Disc player. (using my airport express connected to my Time Warner router.) It recognizes my locked, wireless network, but times out before connecting.

I'm from Argentina where Netflix is available. I have an account.
I have a friend who is in Spain right now, where Netflix is not yet available.
I asked him to bring me an Apple TV 3 because it is much cheaper there. And I need to access Netflix from a Non Smart LCD I have.
And he is leaving Spain in a couple of hours.
He went to the Madrid's Apple Store where he was told that they didn't know if he could be able to use Netflix in Argentina from the Apple TV bought in Spain.

It should be fine provided Netflix is available on AppleTV normally in Argentina - in the Settings menus there are a couple of location/country type settings - the unit has a universal power supply and apart from potentially a plug adapter for the power cord if needed it should work fine.
AppleTv's are not region locked at all, you should be able to get all services available on an AppleTV sold in Argentina on one sold in Spain provided you configure the location info correctly.

You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data before proceeding.

Accessing Netflix via Smart TV connected to FIOS

I have a Vizio Smart TV that has several built-in apps, including Netflix streaming video. The Smart TV is connected to my WiFi in the house and I can access every app (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Hulu, etc.) that needs Internet access through it except Netflix. I can get to my Netflix account from my laptop, PC, iPad, iPhone through my WiFi, just not from the Smart TV. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? I have not yet contacted Verizon technical service; will be doing that soon. Thanks for any insight others may have on this. It's perplexing.

If every other computer on you network can access netflix and all othe apps on the TV are getting internet access, dont call verizon tech! Other than rebooting, resetting and reconnecting there isnt much else they will do. Start with Vizio. They will be able to Troubleshoot you TV.

Using Time Capsule as wireless can't watch Netflix

I am using my Time Capsule as my home wireless router. It is located upstairs in a bedroom. I use Apple TV and an LG Blue-Ray player to watch Netflix. If the players are upstairs, they work perfectly. If the players are downstairs, they pick up the home network and show 5 of 6 bar strength, but I can no longer access netflix or MLB.TV. I have a 500GB Simultaneous dual-band Time Capsule. Any thoughts? My modem is an ARRIS model WBM760
