Can't connect my Ps3 to Home Hub

Hi, just got a home hub yesterday and all the computers in the house are working fine. But when I went to connect my PS3 it wasn't having any of it. I fllowed the instructions step-by-step and tried it multiple times yet still have nothing. The problem is when I do the connection test it succeeds in obtaining the ip address then succeeds on the internet connection but fails when it gets to the playstation network part of the test. I have searched and found nothing. Please help

Before i got my house wired up i had the same problems connecting PS to hub.
also kept getting a host of DLNA errors.
Try configuring your PS3 to use a staic IP address and input all the details manually.
I found this helped alot untill trying to stream movies.

My first post, hope someone can help. I've just signed up to BT for my broadband (I'm still with Orange until the change over goes through).
I can currently print from my wireless laptop (downstairs) to a printer (upstairs) that is plugged into the USB port on my Orange Livebox. Will I still be able to connect a printer to the new BT home hubs USB port & print wirelessly? (The printer doesn't have its own wireless capability & I doubt I'd be able to get hold of the required "optional parts" anymore as the printer is a few years old.)

I believe the home hub has a USB port - if not it iwll be ethernet. Someone with it will comment I am sure as I have the v2.0 and it does have a USB port

wifi is wifi, and business hub means very little.. this is area for time capsule discussion.. but the standard measures apply.
1. Set wireless name (SSID) to a name that is short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric. Eg your Business Hub call wireless BH. There is no need for names longer than that.
2. Set wireless channel for 2.4ghz to 11 or 6 or 1. Please test in that order. In Eurozone you can add 13 or use it instead of 11. They are the only 3 non-overlapping channels.
3. Use no security to test.. of course this is unsafe long term.. so this is to test for a few minutes only.
The only security that should be used with N wireless is WPA2 TKIP-AES .. it can be named several different things ie in Apple routers it is WPA2 personal. Use a passkey of 10-20 characters.. more if you are paranoid, mix of upper and lower case + numerics.. so pure alphanumeric.
4. If it fails set the mode to G wireless. It is more consistent standard.
If it still fails buy an Apple router and use that as WAP.

Contact Rhapsody to see if they have or plan to release an update for the app. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

LaserJet Pro CP1525nw cannot connect to new router (Home Hub 2000)

In December, we replaced everything EXCEPT our LaserJet Pro CP1525nw colour printer - new laptop (Dell Inspirion 15), new operating system (Windows 8.1 - 64 bit), new internet provider (Bell) and new wireless router (Home Hub 2000).
Immediately, we were unable to connect to the router. We tried all of the suggestions, including connecting the printer directly to the router - which worked, until we disconnected it and then they could not communicate again.
At the time, the only solution we could find was to connect our printer and laptop via USB cable and print that way - no more wireless printing, so unable to print from phones and iPad, but at least we could print from the laptop.
In the past month, we have become unable to use many of the features on our printer - when we try to select print options, we get the message "HPMSN103.dll has stopped working." So, we can still print, but cannot select options.
We have tried using the CD that came with the printer, and it gets to a certain point and then a fatal error occurs. We have tried downloading the "full solution" printer install program from the HP website, and the same thing happens. We have tried skipping that and just choosing the appropriate printer driver in Windows: if we only use that driver, we get a printer that shows up, but we cannot print if we select it (interestingly, though, we can actually access the printer options!); if we say we have the disc, then we get two printers showing up - we can select print options on the one that will not allow us to print, but not on the one that actually prints. If we try removing one of the printers, they both uninstall and we're back to square one.
So, we WANT to be able to get back to printing wirelessly - after all, we paid (handsomely) for a wireless printer! And we still cannot get our printer and the router to recognize each other. Can somebody help? We don't want to have to buy another printer.

I see that you are experiencing issues setting up the printer on the new router. I will certainly do my best to help you.
Thank you for providing that detailed information.
If the network name has any spaces or special characters, the printer may not recognize it.
The printer is only capable of sending/receiving in the 2.4 ghz band.
If it is set to 5 GHZ network you may need to change to 2.4 ghz. (rename the 5 ghz or shut it off)
The WPA key setting needs to be on AES to work correctly not TKIP.
Multi casting needs to be turned on.
Firewall on router has to have open ports for printer.
If you have Mac Filtering you need to give printer hardware address from Configuration page.
You might need to contact your router company for further assistance to check those settings.
I would reset the printer first to clear out any previous network settings.
Turn the printer off, hold down the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer back on and don't release the two buttons until the printer stops making noise.
Print out a configuration report and make sure the SSID and IP address are cleared.
Printing a Configuration Page.
The easiest way to setup the printer back on the wireless network is through a Ethernet connection and then switch over to wireless.
Disconnect the USB cable.
Remove any printer software by following these steps:
Go into Devices and Printers , click file then Server Properties, click on the Drivers tab at the top of print Server Properties window. Choose the printer you want to uninstall and click remove. Choose remove driver and package. Any that say Universal PCL 5 or Universal PCL 6 also remove and the Laserjet CP1525nw.
The next screen will give a warning, letting you know that deleting the driver package will remove it from the system. Click yes to say that you are sure you want to do this. (if the printer isn't listed that is OK)
Right click and delete any entries for the Laserjet in the Devices and Printers Window.
Run the uninstall from the CD.
Press the Windows key and the X key together. and select File Explorer, right click the CD for the
printer and left click open in new window.
Connect the printer to the router with a Ethernet cable.
Wait about 1 minute and the printer should have a valid IP address.
Print the configuration page to get the printer's IP address to configure the Wireless.
Type the IP address in Internet explorer's address bar which should open the printer's embedded web services page.
Setup the wireless through here now.
Click on the networking tab, wireless on the left, fill out the network information and apply the settings.
After the confirmation, then disconnect the Ethernet cable.
Now you should have a blue wireless light on the printer in about 1 minute.
Perform a clean boot on the computer and turn off the Antivirus Software. How to perform a clean boot in Windows.
Run the installation again.
If you are prompted to connect the USB cable during the installation, Then immediately after connecting the USB cable, follow the steps in this document to update the drivers so it doesn't error out. A Fatal Error Displays During Software Installation. Then the installation should continue.
Test the printer.

Although I am able to use broadband on my laptop, I cannot 'see' my Home hub from my PC , which is sitting next to the laptop. When using the control panel I get the message 'Connected with limited access' and the signal strength is showing as 'Fair' or sometimes 'Good.’ I can also 'see' other local home hubs from the PC

Connecting a NAS to Home Hub 4

I have connected mac computer directly to Home hub 4 with success and also a Develo Home Plug with success. I have got all of the wi-fi to work but I cannot get my Buffalo terrastion to be even seen. I have tried Buffalo to Hub direct via ethernet. Buffalo to switch via ethernet with switch to hub via ethernet. Anybody got any ideas please?

The other option would be to change the IP and subnet of the home hub 4, so it matches your old router.
There are some instructions on this page, and I assume the HH4 is similar.

This can be quite tricky, and you could lose connection to the home hub, and a factory reset would be needed.
If your old router was not locked to your last ISP, there is nothing to stop you using that instead. All you would have to do is to change the login details.
As for changing the NAS, if you can get into the network settings screen, and select manual network configuration, and use the following settings, it should be possible to use it with the home hub.
Use these manual network settings.
IP address 192.168.1.50
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.1.254
DNS Server 192.168.1.254
I have chosen an IP address which is outside of the home hubs DHCP range, to avoid any conflicts.
To access the NAS after making the changes and restarting the NAS,
Go to http://192.168.1.50
That should bring up the normal NAS menu.

Connecting network printer to Home Hub 3

I am aware there are many similar posts to this, but none of them seem to have answers!
I have just switched to BT Broadband with a Home Hub 3. Everything has connected fine, either wirelessly or via cable (a Siemens VoIP phone and Vodafone SureSignal) EXCEPT the network printer.
We have used an OKI 3200n for years, with a couple of different routers (Netgeat and Belkin) without problems. However, the router will just not see it. I have tried changing the IP address and both fixed manual and automatic IP addresses on the printer without success.
If anoyone could suggest IP / MAC settings which would allow the Home Hub 3 to see it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Although this is marked as solved, I haven't fixed it. For some reason, whenever everything is turned off (I have my laptop, the router and printer on the same remote controlled socket), e.g. at night, when it all starts up again the printer has changed it's TCP/IP address.
This is despite setting it to Manual TCP/IP address setting in the printer menu (just for good measure, it resets this as well!).
As I never had this problem with my old Belkin Router, I can only think it's something to do with the HH3, although I have specified it to use the same IP address for the printer whenever connected.
I've tried using OKI admin software to change the printer settings, which hasn't worked, as well as re-installing and every conceivable combination of turning SNMP on and off in both Windows and the Printer.
Any help would be gratefully received! I can't keep reinstalling my printer every time I turn the computer on!

Apple TV can't connect to library on Home Share

Recently I've run into a problem where my AppleTVs will not see our main library. We have two libraries that we share on our network, and most of the content is on our office computer named "iMac Library". Over the last two days, more often than not it will time out when trying to connect to that library, giving me the message that it can't connect and I should check my home sharing settings, etc. If I go into the office and shut down iTunes, then start iTunes again, it will see it fine. Is anyone else experiencing this? I've got two AppleTV 2s and one of the latest (1080p) AppleTVs (is this referred to as a AppleTV 3 or 2.1 or what?) and it does it on all three units.
Any help would be appreciated.

The iTunes shut down/restart method has worked 100% of the time for me, but it also seems to have not happened over the last 3-4 days as much. I'm used to Apple mysteriously applying patches to fix stuff while not even acknowledging it on the forums so maybe that's what happened here.
Best example of this was when an update broke the order of your TV shows, throwing any shows in iTunes totally out of alphabetical order and it was like that for a few weeks with zero acknowledgement from Apple. The only thing that made it bearable was that the forums errupted with people having the same issue, so you knew it was going to be addressed at some point. I'm worried that since there doesn't seem to be an outpouring of other users with the same problem that it might not be as widespread, and I don't really like the idea of a several hour call to tech support troubleshooting this.
I'll keep the thread updated with any changes, but for right now it seems like it may have fixed itself. Hope that is the case with your issue as well.

Can't connect to wifi at home on MacBook Pro or iPhone 4S

I recently moved and got set up with a new (cable) internet provider. Since that time, I have been unable to connect to wireless on my MacBook Pro or my iPhone 4S. I can connect via ethernet. I can connect via other people's wireless (coffee shops, library, etc.). Sometimes, I get a "connection timeout error occurred" message. Other times, it looks like wifi is connected, but when I try to visit a URL on a browser, the blue bar moves about a centimeter across the address bar and stops. Email doesn't work, etc. The technician who set up my internet tried for nearly three hours to figure out why it wasn't working and concluded it must be a problem with my computer. It seems odd that I would only have problems at home, but I'm not an expert. Hoping someone here is, and can help. I work from home so this is rather frustrating (especially since connecting via ethernet means sitting in the living room instead of my office and tempting the dog to trip on the cord). What is the make & model of the new wireless router that you ISP has provided you? Are you able to administer it if needed?
For the MacBook Pro, try the following, in order, until (hopefully) resolved:
1a. Delete Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab
Under "Preferred Networks," delete the network(s) you regularly use from the list.
1b. Delete AirPort Keychain Entries
Launch the "Keychain Access" application located in Applications/Utilties.
In the windows on the left side: Select login for Keychains and "All Items" for Category.
Click on the "Kind" filter at the top, and look for any "AirPort network password" entries...and delete them.
1c. Add Preferred Network(s)
System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi tab
Add the preferred network(s) using the "+" button.
Restart or log out then back in.
2. Move System Configuration Files
(Note: You will have to reestablish your network connections settings.)
Go to /Library/Preferences
Move the SystemConfiguration folder to the desktop.
Restart your Mac. (Note: OS X will rebuild the files that are now sitting on your desktop. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can move the folder back to it's original location.)

i'm trying to connect two PS3 to the same routeur without having conflicts. Everytime i try to update my game softwares it tells me error 80710723 or now 8002AD23. I gave the two PS3 different IP adresses, i opened all the ports that Playstation suggested me to open (http://playstation.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/241) and gave them different DNS adresses but still they cannot download any software content without bugging the console. I also use a PC, Tablet and Phone with my wireless connection.

Well in this case the error code (80710723 ) is generated when the internet connection is slow. So you can try the following step:
# Open up the browser and on the address bar type 192.168.1.1 that will open up the Router setup page.
# Lower the MTU (Maximum Transmission Unit) from 1500 to 1400 or less (usually found on your router's main/ basic setup page)
# Make the Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
#Adjust the following advanced wireless settings:
~~ Lower the beacon interval from 100 to 75
~~ Lower the fragmentation threshold from 2346 to 2306
~~ Lower the RTS threshold from 2347 to 2304
