Can't email in iphoto network not connected
I'm using iPhoto '11, version 9.1.5. When I use the "share" button at the lower right corner of the screen, it tells me I'm not connected to network. But everywhere else, I'm connected. I ran Network diagnostics, and I am connected via my Airport. Why and I getting this message, and how can I connect?
Make a temprary backup copy of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.

I am using the latest version of iPhoto and also have just upgraded to Yosemite, though this problem has existed forever and I am just now at my limit of tolerance.
I get a message that says my internet is not connected or working properly; completely false btw. I have tried deleting my accounts in iPhoto and reinstalling them to no avail.
What do I do?I could have sworn that I had chosen the options you suggested in the first place. I did change to select Mail as the app and after your message, I tried once again to select iPhoto as the email app and yes, my iCloud account was at the top of the account list in iPhoto. This time the email from iPhoto worked perfectly.
As they say in NYC..."Go figure"

You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc. -
I have a MacBook Pro. My mac can detect wifi. But will not connect anywhere. I did get connected via TCP/IP settings but I can't connect to any wifi anywhere. Network diagnostic has a green light for wi-fi and wi-fi settings. Red light for the rest. (Network settings, ISP, Internet and server.)

I have iPhoto 11 with Lion and when I try to post photos into MobileMe in Share I get the message that iPhoto is not connected to internet. Can anyone tell me how to connect iPhoto to internet?
My solution, which is not much, is to restart iPhoto and it then connects to the Internet. This has been an ongoing unsolved problem.

I have a home network using ethernet connected devices to a router, also attached to th erouter is a WiFi unit. We are using the WiFi unit to connect to the network and hence to the big wide WWW. We now want to print from our IPads pereferable to our netowk connected HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a series. (not the wireless model).
I was using the HP ePrint app to print from the Ipad, but I do not fully understand how this works. It seems that you must use the app to do the printing which is fine for basic email and photos, but I can not access the drawing package I have, and want to print from it. Please what is it that I do not understand.You must use an airprint printer directly connected to wifi through it's own wifi card.

I've been having this problem too, but here's the catch: originally it was only with my dad, and only sometimes. Now it's dad and husband, every time! Pix go through, via imessage, to everyone else, and they go through to dad/husband if I "send as text" after it fails.
And the other annoying thing- the blue bar will run all the way, and it will say "delivered". So I close out of imessage. When I reopen it again, the "delivered" has changed to "not delivered" with the red exclamation point. I just googled "imessage not sending photos" and founds TONS of people with the same problem, but no solutions. (I have rebooted phone, reset network settings, with no luck. I even had to backup/delete/restore my whole phone the other day for a different reason, and hoped that would fix it, but now it won't send to my dad OR my husband (who is on not just the same carrier, but the same family plan as me) -

i still have the same problem.... mine to, keeps circleing.... the icon for the wi-fi shows ( next to the carrier ) but it still searches for the network... usually, right after it finds it a check mark appears.... this time, i keep getting a circle.. this is happening at work...
this past wekeend, i had the same problem at home. My wife had no problem with the wi-fi on her i-phone but mine was circleing....i turned off the router for a couple of minutes, the iphone found my netwrk, i entered my password and it worked.... but this time i'm at work and it keeps doign the same things.... it sees the network, i've entered the password but it keeps circleing... just last week it was working with no issues at work.... -

Can send email from iphone but not from mac.
Hi. I'm using a mac desktop and the mail app. I can receive email, but not send. I checked my port and id/pswd and still cannot send. After the app tries to send, it says the server is offline.
I am able to send email fine with my iphone.
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!I've checked this and mail connection doctor says I am connected - think I am going to have to get someone in to help me as I have spent about 4 hours on this now :-(

Connected to Wireless Network, Not Connected to Internet...
Hi All
I recently had my NVIDIA graphics card replaced as it freaked right out the other day.
I took my MacBook Pro home yesterday and everything was perfect. It connected to my wireless network @ home as normal, and was functional all night.
I have come to work today, and it automatically joined up with the network here. Only problem is, that whilst it connects to the network here, and obtains an IP address as well, as soon as I try to connect to the internet, it says that I am not connected to the internet!!!
Now the finer details:
* I have reset EVERYTHING. Routers, Modems, Computers etc
* All firmware is still the same as it was pre-nvidia fix up.
* Distance is not a problem, I am sitting next to the wireless router.
* An ethernet cable from the router to my computer ALLOWS access to the internet
* My Iphone can connect wirelessly to the same network and browse the internet.
* A windows PC can connect wirelessly to the same network and browse the net.
* I can see that it is connected to the router AND given an IP address.
Please help!!!I had the same problem. I sent my MBP to get a Logic Board/Nvidia fix and when it came back I could no longer connect to networks using DHCP. I have to manually put in my IP, Subnet, etc. for every network I join.
Randomly about a week in I had some pop-up window show up asking me to allow incoming network connections for something and when i clicked on it I was able to us DHCP again. Just tonight it stopped working and I am once again in the position where i have to manually input IP info, etc.

I can't access my USB network drive connected to my router.
I have a G5 that I was running Tiger, and could easily access a usb network drive connected to my router. As soon as I upgraded to Leopard, I sporadically get access, but usually not.
I just purchased an iMac with Snow Leopard and then upgraded to Lion, but I have never had access to this drive.
I can't get access with either Mac now, but I have no problem accessing the drive from a PC on the same home network, so I know the drive is connected properly, and is working properly.
Any thoughts how to access this drive from my Macs?Let's say that the name of your drive is Hard Drive
Check using AirPort Utility to get the IP address of your AirPort Extreme, for example you see that it is 10.0.1.1
You'll need to know the device name for the AirPort Extreme. This is not the wireless password, it's the device password.
On the PC, open My Computer
Click on Tools and select Map Network Drive.
Select the drive you want, "Z" for example
On the next line for Folder, type in
\\10.0.1.1\Hard Drive
Click Finish
Type in your user name
Type in the device password for the AirPort Extreme -
