Can't Find: Apps, Music, Pictures, etc. Update 5.0 (Lost Everything)
I recently got the Iphone 4s and when I went to transfer my apps from my 3Gs I lost all my apps, pictures, and music. When it told me I needed to update my iTunes to 5 something. Please help out of 143 apps I only found 4. Any Help is greatly Appreciated.
I SAW IT IN IFORUMS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. bUT aPPLE SHOULD TAKE RESPONSABILITY AND ISSUE A PRESS RELEASE ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO DO TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. NOW I HAVE TO RETRIEVE ALL THE MUSIC I PURCHASE AGAIN,AND BUIL MY LIBRARY AGAIN? THEY SHOULD PAY,GIVING US ALL A NANO,LOL.

Migrated old computer backup on time capsule to new macbook pro.

ITunes says it can't find apps/music and videos

Thank you for your timeThis happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

Lost & Found
Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist (it may take some time to count the tracks that are to be dropped). Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist.

How to unlink multiple devices but still share apps, music, movies, etc...?
Our family has 2 iPod Touch, an iPhone, a Nano and an iPad. They all use the same apple ID account, so that we can share some apps, music, movies, etc... and I'm not paying for duplicates. However, each time one person downloads an app to their device, it automatically adds it to the other devices as well.
I don't fully understand the "i" world. I know my son has an iCloud account for his iPhone. I don't know what I set up wrong.
How do we fix this problem?
Examples:
I downloaded iStorybook for my 4 year old to our iPad, then it automatically added the app to the iPhone and iPod Touch
My husband downloaded an app to his iPod Touch and it automatically added it to my sons iPhone.
My husband sent an email to me from his iPod Touch and it sent the message to my son's iPod TouchNo, what I'm saying is that once you boot into OSX, you should be able to see both drives listed. If you don't then either OSX is hiding the other drive because it sees it as a boot drive and is trying to protect the contents from novice users or there's another problem. If it's the first thing (i.e. it's a protection thing), then your only option would be to boot into the old drive, copy off all your personal data to an external backup drive, then reboot into the SSD and go into Disk Utilities and wipe/reformat the second drive so that you can see it as a regular secondary drive. Then when you see it as that, you can copy your data back to it.
Be carefull poking around in Disk Utility as you can easily lose your data. It's possible the Mac just isn't mounting that second drive because it sees it as another boot drive. Whatever you do, don't accidentally erase it without getting a copy of your data off of it because you obviously don't have that on your SSD now. -
The computer I use for Itunes (my laptop) only has XP so I can't use ICloud:(
I have a desktop that operates using with Vista.
I downloaded 10.5 and sought to sync my two iphones and two ipads with the desktop in order to use ICloud. However I got warning messages that if I synced with this computer that had none of my extensive library of apps, music, podcasts, etc. would be on it, I would lose it all.
I did authorize the computer. I knew enough to do that but am terrified that I will lose everything that I have accumulated and still won't be able to use ICloud.
Isn't there a way to do this? Shift my library FROM my devices to the desktop?
ThanksThis is a tedious solution, which is stupid! And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization. I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? Would its previous incarnation (i.e., with the old hard drive and OS) be considered a separate computer? Some users report they can’t authorize a computer after an OS upgrade because of that. Can’t believe we have to do such a bass-ackwards kludge! -
I have two Apple ID's and I would like to merge them into one Apple ID only and move Apps, Music, Movies etc to to the one Apple ID. How can I do that?
It is not possible to merge Apple IDs.

You can't do that.
And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music. -

Not sure exactly what you mean by your, "finder folder."
However, in your Finder's preferences, under Sidebar, do you have Music and Pictures checked off? -
Hard drive crashed, replaced. Downloaded iTunes again, but now I can't get to my apps, music, movies, etc from computer through iTunes. Any help?
If you have access to them anywhere, restore them from it. If not, click here and ask, or redownload the applications freely.

My computer crashed and I have to get my data from my old drive to another computer, to ensure I get all my data what do I need to get. I have and ipad and an iphone. I need to get apps, contacts, pictures, etc. Is there a way to do this? It was a vista pc and the new is win 7. I can grab the backup files, and music, but what about my apps? I do not want to sync on the new pc since the apps aren't there. Were are the app files located in itunes? Can I just copy them to the new computer?
You can transfer itunes purchases: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer. Use your backup copy to put everything back. -

Hi there,
I'm afraid I don't quite understand your question. All images are in your Library and only those you specifically select from that Library would be in an Album. What platform are you using? Revel Mac, Elements, web browser, etc?

I synced my ipod to my laptop and now I can't find my music help. I called the support but was told that that help expired. I did not even know I had that offered to me HELP!!!!
You may be able to redownload your iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
BTW, did you sync to the laptop before? Yu can only sync to one iTunes library. If you sync to to another library the iPod will be eerased and it contents replace with what is in the iTunes library on the computer. -
