Can't get tween to work

Question

I have a number of movie clips in an array that I am cycling
through presenting, fading and then removing. I am attaching the
clips to the mc variable mClip1. mClip1 works for everything other
than the tween where it just seems to skip the instruction, If I
force the actual name of the mc, then it works. Are variables
handled differently with tweens? Can anyone see a problem with the
line of script calling the tween that would prevent this from
moving the alpha of mClip1 from 0 to 75?

It's skipping the instruction because the movie isn't loaded
yet. Rather than using loadMovie, you should use the
MovieClipLoader class and call the tween from inside the
onLoadComplete event handler. That will insure that you movie loads
when it is finished.
