Can't kill session 11g WINDOWS 2008

Hoping someone might be able to tell me how to kill a job that doesn't want to die:)
We had network maintenance over the weekend that interupted the connection between our app server and database. It caused a bunch of jobs to get stuck. I could kill all but one job. The last job seems to be busy reading but the session info doesn't show any sql.
BOTH OF THE COMMANDS BELOW RETURN ERROR: "ora-00030:user session id doesn't not exist" and session info continues to say "active">
ALTER SYSTEM KILL SESSION '8,46534' immediate;
alter system disconnect session '008,46534' post_transaction;
Any idea what else I can do to kill this job? Booting the database is not a possiblities.

Yes you can. If you have two 2003 AD servers currently and upgrade one of them to 2008 AD then they'll continue to be able to work together. The domains functional level will remain as 2003 across both servers so at this stage you won't get any benefit from
the new AD functionality available in 2008.
Once you've then upgraded the second 2003 server to 2008 you can then upgrade the functionality levels in AD to make it 2008. It's been a while, but I believe it doesn't happen automatically, so once all AD servers have been upgraded you have to go into
AD and upgrade the functionality levels yourself.

Oracle 9i is desupported.
To the best of my knowledge Oracle 10g is also not supported on Windows 2008.
Go ahead and try installing if it works its great. Of course I will not recommend it for official use.

Can't kill session with "Alter system kill session"?

I'm using 9iR2.
After I check the v$session table:
SQL> select sid, serial# from v$session where username='XMLDEMO';
SID SERIAL#
18 19155
I issue the command:
SQL> alter system kill session '18,19155' immediate;
System altered.
But after this, I still can find this session:
SQL> select sid, serial# from v$session where username='XMLDEMO';
SID SERIAL#
18 19155
Can anyone tell me why? Did I miss something?
Any help will be appreciated.

keep issuing that query and notice if the serial number starts to change..if it does it is reflecting pmon cleaning up the sessions, when pmon finishes his work

Can't install odac on Windows 2008 64 bit

After i run setup.exe, i get an error c0000374 in javaw.exe. Tell me please if odac officially supported on windows 2008 64-bit ?

Office 2008 was a Mac version. The equvalent Win version is 2007. So there is no "Office 2008 Windows." Which version are your trying to install?
Are you using Boot Camp to run Win on your MBP and want to install Office for Win there? I can't see that being a problem..
I do know that the regular version of Office Mac won't run properly if the trial version is present. The installer is set up to look for other versions, resumably to keep the trial version and the regualr from clashing.

Select Record Between Date Gap-Oracle 11g, Windows 2008 server

hello everyone,
I have a sql query where I need to select only records with an 18 month gap between max(date) and previous date( no dates between max(date)
and 18 month gap date), when I run the below query it should only select supid 130, not 120 (even though 120 does contain an 18 month gap date it also has a date that is less then the 18 month gap( '25-NOV-2012','DD-MON-YYYY').
how would get the query to look back 18 months for the next date and evaluate the month_between.
any help is greatly appreciated.

So i will explain problems what i have seen:
SSID: DTS-Group using authentication EAP with RADIUS and it working great (Authentication Type from Aironet to RADIUS is PEAP)
SSID:L6-Webauthen-test using web-auth and i had try to compare with RADIUS but ROOT CAUSE is AUTHENTICATION TYPE from Aironet to RADIUS default is PAP. (Reason Code : 66)
=> I had trying to find how to change Authentication Type of Web-Auth on Cisco Aironet from PAP to PEAP or sometime like that for combine with RADIUS.
Any idea or recommend for me ?

I had login SSID by Account create in AD =>  It's work okay with me. Done

Im think ROOT CAUSE is :
PAP is the default authentication type for web-auth users on Aironet 2702i, so it can't combine with Radius Window 2008 because they just support PEAP (CHAPv1,CHAPv2....) => Please give me a tip how to change Authentication Type from PAP to PEAP for Web Authentication on Aironet

Any mentions to when Oracle will release an update so we can install GRID agents on Windows 2008 servers. As of now, it will not advance past the installation windows.

I downloaded the 10.2.0.4 agent for 32 bit Windows and all went fine. Its better than installing 10.2.0.2 and applying upgrades. Whatever the case, that did the trick.

Remote Agent for ACS for Windows 2008 R2 64-bit

We having difficulties with installing remote agent on windows 2008 R2 64-bit server and got the attached error.
Our ACS is 4.2.0.124 and remote agents we tried are :Remote-Agent-ACSse-win-v4.2.1.15-K9.zip and Acs-4.2.1.15.9-RA.zip.

What I wanted to say that the below url says that ACS 4.2 does not support on 64-bit OS:
ACS Requirements
You must use ACS Remote Agent for Windows, version 4.2, with ACS SE, version 4.2. We do not support other Cisco Secure ACS releases.
Note ACS Remote Agent 4.2 for Windows does not support 64-bit operating systems.

And as far as I know, in-place operating system upgrade could work, but there is no document about this. Please take backup before doing upgrade.
If you want to in place upgrade the OS, we can simply move SCOM databases to new servers and rebuild management servers one at a time. the downtime for SCOM would be very minimum if the management group has the capacity for agents to report to failover
management servers while the primary MS is getting rebuilt. You do not have to perform in place upgrade on the OS to keep SCOM.
Based on your need, I would like to suggest you add a Windows 2008 R2 as additional management server for your management group. And if possible, please also upgrade your SQL 2005 to SQL 2008.

Dear Yan, Since rebuild/config SCOM Server is very complicated so it's better that I can just upgraded OS into windows 2008 R2 without do anything else.

Can Oracle 11g R2 RAC and database sit on Windows 2008 R2?

2008 32 bit it is certified...
2008 64 not certified yet.
the certification matrix within MOS does not indicate 2008 R2 so you might be good for 32 bit.
NOTE: just double checked the matrix and it is certified for windows 2008 R2 x64
