Can't open my InDesign CS6 documents

All my saved doc will not open. I get the following message:
Cannot open "name of doc.indde" because it was saved by a newer version of Adobe InDesign (CS7.0)
I don't even have CS7...in fact does it even exist ?
Plz help

I'm not sure if the error message is updated to "Adobe InDesign (CC 9)" or something, if InDesign CS6 is updated to the latest version v8.0.2 …

Our latest version has an option in the preferences that lets Soxy override the Finder's behaviour when there are '#' characters in an InDesign file name.

I installed CS6, including Acrobat Pro, now I can't open Acrobat or PDF documents. All other CS6 applications are available. The icon for Acrobat just shows the internet explorer icon.

There is a special procedure for Acrobat as part of CS. It goes something like opening one of the other applications and activating, then opening Acrobat (I think the others need to stay open) and activating it. It seems like a strange procedure and is likely documented in your info -- but I can't say for sure.

AppleScript to check all pages within one Indesign (CS6) document have same size.

I have bunch of InDesign (CS6) documents containing different page sizes (some are designed for a particular device and some are designed for multiple devices using alternate layouts). I need to assure all page sizes are same before I run a particular script.
So I need a Applescript which can request a folder location of closed files and then open and run through the InDesigns in that folder (ignoring any other files) and then open a text file report saying all page sizes are same or not. (Sorry! for my English)

I've re-opened an InDesign CC document and the placed EPS logos now look bitmapped

I'm on Mac OS X 10.8.5. I'm used to InDesign CS3 and have had a little use of CS5.5. This is my first try of InDesign CC on a live job.
I've re-opened an InDesign CC document made last week and the placed EPS logos now look bitmapped. The same logo (used smaller) on another layer appeared OK. For the main logo, I tried to re-link them, it had no effect. Bringing them in again was no better. The EPS files are still in original folder, right beside the INDD files. I've tried to change settings in Prefs (File handling: Preview size up to 1024) and closed and re-opened INDD CC. Also, my CS4 saveback has the same fault when opened in CS5.5.
Nothing has worked, please advise cause and solution.

Just to note that the "Preview Size" is for viewing pages of your InDesign file in Adobe Bridge, you can choose to Preview None, 2 pages, or more pages in the settings, and choose the thumbnail size.
This is only for programs that can preview InDesign files, like Adobe Bridge.
The preference you should have changed is in the Preferences under Display performance and drag the "Vector Images" slider all the way to the right.

That depends on what you want.
Want to send it to a print shop? Want to send it to someone who is going to provide editorial commentary? Want to send it to someone who is going to actually edit text? The best option is not obvious to a forum full of random strangers if we don't know your selection criteria. If, from your original post, you need your document
to be opened up by someone who is on InDesign CS5?
then PDF by itself may the worst option. I'd suggest that you File -> Package your CS6 file, make sure all linked files are included, and give them an IDML file. And, because the IDML file won't match your CS6 INDD perfectly if you've used any tools new in CS6, give 'em a PDF too. So maybe the best option is "all of the above."

How can I open Adobe Bridge CS6 in high resolution on my MacBook Pro Retina display? When I click Get Info, the "Open in Low Resolution" box is marked and locked. How can I unmark this box? I currently run 10.9.1. I can open Adobe Photoshop CS6 in high resolution without any problem. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There is no such thing. In CS6 only PS itself is Retina compatible. You would have to use CC for full Retina support.

Problem with Pages. I have recently been unable to open Pages, or any documents from Pages on my iMac. Pages seems to be in the Cloud and can open a list of the documents in Pages, but can't open any of those documents.

The answer is simple... If you want to remedy this, then don't save them as PDFs.
Word opens Word and text documents. Not PDFs.

Can we get Adobe InDesign CS6 and use CS5?

Hi There,
We currently have 4 license of InDesign CS5 that comes with Adobe Creative Suite CS5.
Also an Adobe Product Premium CS5.5. We now need to get an extra license for InDesign CS5 for the Adobe Product Premium CS5.5 machine.
I noticed Adobe now sells CS6 versions only. Can we get Adobe InDesign Cs6 and have down grade right to use InDesign CS5?

The tef file is an iCloud file.
Maybe turn it off for a while and do something else before restarting it to give it time to reset.

Photoshop cc can't open and make new documents.

I'm using adobe creative cloud and photoshop cc.
When I run the Photoshop cc, it can't open and create new documents.
Open and make new documents Photoshop don't work so i terminate a photoshop cc use windows task manager.
I use windows7 ultimate k on lenovo x220t.
I uninstall the Photoshop cc and install again but symptoms refeat.
Please give me good opinion.

You have permissions issues with your user folder and the location where the PS swap files are stored. You need to fix that part...
