Can't restore my phone without password?
My 13 year old daughter thought it would be ok to reset her password so we (her) parents wouldn't be able to check her phone. The problem is I found out because she couldn't access her mail and she forgot her new password and has no clue what it is and had to tell me to see if I would help. After I can restore it back to factory settings I'm gonna help her not have a phone by selling it, but I have to restore it and that is my problem.
When I try to reset it thru apple I either have to have the reset sent to her email, which she doesn't have access to or by personal information which she doesn't remember what birthdate she put in on set up because she had to put a birthdate which made her over 18 to be able to set up for her iCloud. I had this information written down in my desk but apparently that piece of paper grew legs and disappeared. As you may be able to tell I'm ******.
My question is, is there a way to restore the phone to factory settings without the password. Everytime I try to delete her iCloud account off her phone it wants a password which I don't have because dumb *** reset it and can't remember what it is. Same goes for accessing her mail. It won't restore from iTunes because it tells me to turn off the Find My Phone setting and that too asks for a password I don't have.

I just got an iPhone 5s, and I restored from a previous back up (mistake) and now I can't restore the phone to start again without "turning off the find my iphone setting" but it's using an old email address as the icloud login, which i don't have a password to / never used for an icloud account. If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple ID.
This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

Thank you!If restoring from a backup still shows the "Other" data, it's likely contained as a part of the backup. You can restore the device and resync that data (apps, music, etc) back to the device. The things to pay attention to would be things like contacts, calendars, and notes -> would want to make sure those were synced with an account of some sort, or saved elsewhere to transfer back to the device. Also, items like messages can't be synchronized back over to the device, unless it's from a backup.

I do have a third party keyboard installed (fleksy), and I removed english and emoji from the keyboards list in settings before rebooting the ipod. When it booted up, it asked for my device password with the default keyboard, but I can't type any letters with accent marks, so I can't enter the password. I figured I could fix this by restoring a backup and changing my password, but I can't restore a backup without turning off Find My iPod - which of course requires me to unlock the device with the device password, which I can't do. Am I stuck here? Is there anything at all that I can do?
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Unless you have the iPod backup file from the syncing computer all you can do is to restore the iPod to factoery defaults/new iPod. Yes. With iTunes open the menu bar is at the top of your screen.

After you authorize the computer connect your iPhone then follow the instructions here > iOS: How to transfer or sync content to your computer
When you are done transferring the data to the desktop, right or control click the iPhone under Devices left side of the iTunes window then click Back Up.
That way you will have a backup just in case you need to restore your iPhone. -

You cannot. However, if your back up is through iTunes on your computer and you do an internet search for something like "iPhone BackUpExtractor", I believe there is software that will help you access the SQL database that is your back up. You may be able to pull out what you need.
Once you restore from a back up, any data that was on the phone is gone. -
Mac OS no longer available after trying to remove Windows on Bootcamp. How can I restore Mac OS without the Mac HDD in options?
So what I did was, I had bought my iMac from a shop and asked them to do bootcamp for me. However, they installed 32 bit instead of 64. My fault, I did not make my self clear about it. So after it has been delivered to my house, I realized that I wanted the 64 bit. I tried to remove windows on bootcamp but honestly, I have not experienced this before. So I failed. I believe, I did something wrong.
So I opened the iMac and it keeps asking me to go to windows. Windows OS also corrupted.
I tried the Option Key but the only option is Windows 7 only. So using a different keyboard, I press option and it only shows Windows HDD and the Mac HDD has gone.

I work for an Enterprise with around 30 devices so far, 5 of them have been upgraded to iOS 5.01 and we are having this issue, the steps below are appearing, these are both on iphone and ipad 2's with exchange 2003:-
- Exchange Calendars not sync'ing, but Yahoo account working fine.
- Create an appointment on the ipad / iphone and this sync's with Exchange.
- Close the Calendar and re-open the appointment disappears, but stay's within Exchange.
- Meetings created within the Exchange Calendar do not synch with the iphone / ipad.
This is starting to cause a lot of issues.

you can track your phone in find my iphone. There is also an option to delete iPhone contents.
Please not that find my iPhone in icloud must be on in order to locate it in the map and also need to be connected to internet.
