Can't saveGameData because "not signed in to iCloud" although I am signed

Hey guys. I'm getting the error: The requested operation could not be completed because you are not signed in to iCloud when I'm trying to save game data using this obvious code:

It's even more strange because **it worked** two weeks ago, so I commented it out and started coding other stuff: leaderboards, in-app purchase – and all these work.
I'm testing it on my iPhone (iOS 8.1.3) logged to Game Center, to iCloud, I've got iCloud Drive turned on, but saving doesn't work. I even set up a new test account, but with the same result.
Could testing all these functionalities on same test account make this problem or it's time to contact Apple?

Problem solved by adding iCloud capability with "iCloud Documents" service (thanks to NeoGER89). The documentary says only GameKit framework is required to use saveGameData, so I thought the app doesn't use iCloud framework directly.

    I have the same problem. Unfortunately, the troubleshooting link you added has the first step listed as "Verify that FaceTime is enabled in FaceTime > Preferences" which we (the original poster and I) can't do as our Preferences are greyed out. We can't click on them to verify anything.
    In FaceTime itself it's verified my apple id (also double checked via the site) and then it says the email is "verified" but then it freezes and after a minute or so it says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
    After checking the network connection, it still doesn't work. It's rather frustrating as it all worked fine until about a week or two ago.
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Ummmm ok...the issue is IE8 *****!  So I use Google Chrome:-)  Now it works!

    I can highlight copy and paste from other web screens with no problem.
    The chat window however doesn't give access to the lines that have scrolled past the window so highlighting the text won't work. Other chat windows grab the entire text when the user clicks on the copy link or icon.
    I just installed firefox and haven't tried other chat windows to see if the problem could be repeated.

    Use the keyboard if the buttons on the web page aren't working.

  • Can't set up notes sync on iPhone

    I have set up iCloud on my iPhone. Reminders and Find My iPhone are working perfectly. The problem is with notes.
    By this they should be syncing:
    But when I look at left top corner, there is no "Account" button:

    And when I try to create a note:
    Any ideas where can be the problem?
    I've tried to sign out of iCloud, restart iPhone and sign in again. Didn't work.

    When prompted about using SSL when creating an account if there is a problem with doing so, when declining the account should be created without using SSL.
    Who is the email account provider for this account?

  • Garageband on my iphone will not allow saving to iCloud. I have GarageBand 1.2.1

    Garageband on my iphone will not allow activation of icloud. I continually get an error message that 'you have not set up iCloud on this device, close garageband open the settings app and sign in to iCloud.' i am signed in. I have GarageBand 1.2.1
    I have uninstalled and reinstalled GarageBand many times,
    I can't share between iPhone and iPad which is really frustrating.
    Is it an iCloud bug or a GarageBand bug?
    Any ideas?

    I have the same message!  I just got a new iPad yesterday, to replace an old one.  I also just bought $40 worth of extra iCloud storage space, and my iCloud from within GarageBand on my iPad won't work at all!!!  It keeps saying the same message you stated above.  I have been on the phone for literally hours with Apple iPad support on the phone yesterday and today, and it's still NOT FIXED.
    APPLE, PLEASE HELP??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I had to change my icloud ID and password. Apple TV does not recognize the new icloud ID/password after signing out and signing back in, I rebooted/reset, still nothing. I reopened home sharing too.

    After much trial and error, I solved this. I logged out of icloud on my MAC, and since I had already signed out of icloud on the apple TV, the apple TV finally accepted my new icloud id and password. Apple tv also wanted me to input my password via the TV and NOT the remote. So.....apple ain't lyin' when it says to sign out of all your accts on ALL devices before changing any apple IDs or passwords. Let this be a warning to anyone in the future so to save you much time and frustration

    The problem is I cannot turn on wireless setting.  The "sign in to icloud  -- enter appleid password" popup will not go away. when i enter the pw and click ok, the same balloon pops up again.  If I click "cancel" it pops again. Since I am not on the internet (because I cannot turn the ipad wireless on) the sign in to icloud obviously will not work.  Vicious circle.

    You are getting this message because you are trying to create an iCloud account on a PC by signing with your Apple ID.  You can only sign into an existing account on a PC.  You first have to create iCloud account on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch) running iOS 5 or higher, or on a Mac running OS X Lion (10.7.5) or higher.  After creating your account on one of these devices you will then be able to sign into the account using this ID on your PC.

I read the 10/30/13 randers4 post to just change your Apple ID back then sign in and change it to the new email address again and then you can sign in, but I cannot change back to the prior email address Apple ID because that is no longer an active email account (or at least not mine). Any thoughts on how to get signed into iCloud when it does not allow me to type in the new Apple ID and the old Apple ID no longer exists.
    I see that many people have asked, but no one has come up with a solution that I found.

    This did not work for me.  My old email account for iCloud still pops up on my screen every time I open my macbook.  I've deleted it, reset it, every thing I can think of and it still shows up.  I think six months of this is more than enough time to wait.

    You can't.  This is a security feature to prevent the resale of stolen iOS devices.  You need to contact the seller and have him/her remove it from their iCloud account.  Or return and get your money back.  See: Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support

    Welcome to the Apple community Lisa Marie.
    If you mean that Find My Phone is asking for a password to a different Apple ID to your current Apple IDand that ID is a previous version of your current ID, not an entirely different one.
    This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
    However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7, or if you restore from a previous back up made before you changed your details.
    The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID using your current password, you don’t need access to this address if it’s previously been used with your Apple ID, once you have saved these details enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone" and delete the account from your device.
    You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, save it once again and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.
