Can't scale a component

I was using Catalyst for sketching out an idea. I made a custom component out of a simple square, then made it a button. I used that component on my sketch in several instances but on one instance, I wanted to scale it and it won't let me. And if I double click on it and then scale the square, all of my other buttons scale!
Also, and maybe this is because its beta. Why can't I just rotate and scale with the black arrow? I think the rotate tool can be eliminated, or at least give me a more powerful rotation.

So I've done a search on "component" in the Catalyst forum, and this post seemed to be the closest match for my biggest frustration with Flash Catalyst (beta 2), which I believe is echoed in aynne's post...
Support for custom components kind of stinks.
Maybe this is a developer-biased perspective (heavy Flex dev for 3+ years now), but I was hoping to be able to take artwork, build a custom component, and "expose" instance-configurable parameters, be that height, rotation, a String, etc. that would apply only to that instance (and the currently active state). For example, I wanted to create a button that had a rectangle that sized to fit the label text (in this case, adding artwork later). Label text is supported as state and instance specific, but I couldn't make the rectangle instance or state specific; size, color, opacity, nada... Boo. Same deal with trying to create the equivalent of a Flex FormItem in Catalyst.
I've now grabbed Flash Builder 4 beta 2 to see if that gives me more control. I'm crossing my fingers that the return trip to Catalyst doesn't strip or otherwise cripple my custom components. I'm expecting it won't "expose" my custom variables though.
I had high hopes when I saw the "Set Property" option in the "Add Action" state transition maintenance of the Timelines tab. Not even height and width are exposed as configurable with this action though.
Am I missing something? I would love to be schooled.

You can use this activex component when you install Adobe Acrobat, not Adobe Reader.

This is a switched capacitor filter - with a variety of configurations for each mode of operation based on the switching frequency. To create a transistor level SPICE model would be unrealistic (which is probably why you haven't found one), so I would suggest looking at the datasheet and specifically, looking at each mode of operation and seeing if you can approximate the filter topology with an expression for the transfer function given in the datasheet (by calcuting based on the switching frequency).
Based on the expression you get, you can use the Multisim component "TRANSFER_FUNCTION_BLOCK" to plug in the correct transfer function and thus approximate the behavior of the filter in the circuit.
This transfer function can be found in the Master database -> Sources -> CONTROL_FUNCTION_BLOCKS. There was a previous discussion giving some additional details on how to setup the transfer function block:

You do know that JSP runs on the server and produces HTML that runs on the browser, right? So do you want to call this COM component on the server or on the browser? If it's on the browser, then your question becomes "Can we call COM component in HTML (tiresome number of ?)". And this you can probably answer for yourself. If it's on the server, see the previous response by Breakfast.

new poster here. very happy with adobe CS suite and very grateful for the advice i have received on the forums.
can anyone help me out with the following please?
i have someone doing an architectural drawing (section and plan) that is being created from my original dwg CAD drawings. the publisher has requested the final product to be at 1:200 and the person doing the AI drawing has their file at 1:100 for some reason they explain but which i don't totally understand. publisher is requesting 1:100 in eps or in pdf format.
is there a way for the person doing this work to /scale/ the drawing so that it is ACTUAL SIZE (this is how i draw in autocad) and then have them save out a version as .eps that is 1:100 or PRINT to PDF a version that is 1:100. i mean, multi-part question here but can they scale what they /currently/ have and then tell the lineweights to all adjust accordingly so that what i am looking at now in their pdf plots is what i will see when they plot the drawing again when it is at full size? like - well - like, manually select all lines and pulldown to SCALE LINEWEIGHTS BY 100 or 200 or something?
or does this involve a whole lot of manual reworking of the drawing in some way?
also, is there any BENEFIT to having the drawing at actual size as opposed to some scaled version if - for instance - instead of having a final product that was 1:100 and 1 1/2" wide i wanted a version that was 24" x 36".
anyway, i am very familiar with CAD and raster and vector etcetera but i would be very grateful if one of the gurus would not mind just getting the inside of my head upholstered in a manner that lets me live with AI a little better...

If you have to delete a SWCV, you have to delete all the namespaces with in that first. Open a name space and delete all the user defined objects in that first. Then delete the Std Fault and log data types and delete it and remove the name space from the SWCV by opening the SWCV and using - button on the name space. Now activate the changes. This will delete the name space.
Repeat the step for all the name space with in the SWCV. After all objects are deleted. Open the SWCV and use the menu, SWCV ->Delete object.

To back to the normal scale you have to disable the parallax.
Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Reduce Motion (turn off)
You won't be able to put the wallpepr out of frame as ios 6 (earlier), but it stop to putting the annoying zoom.

How does one remedy this Adobe error message? "Can't scale the objects. The requested transformation would make some objects too small to use." This one always gets me. I'll spend more time trying to find the object in question. This has happened in almost al versions, but this time it's CS5.

Hmm, possible solution would be to select your object(s), scale them to 90%, and then hit Cmd+D or Control+D to repeat the transformation. I read that sometimes if you scale down too much and too fast it can cause this message.

There is a conflict with third party software or your system keyboard shortcuts. Lately, there have been many postings about conflicts with Chrome extensions so check there first.

Hi folks. I have an odd issue I can't find a solution for (obviously), even searching the forums and google. I can select all objects in my drawing, I can see that the bounding has selected all objects - but I can not scale them.
I'm using Adobe CS3, Mac G5 platform

Don't forget the Scale tool (S). You can use it whether you use bounding boxes or not.
Double-click on the tool or option-click on the scaling origin to get the dialogue window.

How is your selection filter set up?... make sure that you have 'enable selecting parts' checked. In that way you can select the component. Otherwise you can go to Edit >> Selection Filter >> Enable selecting parts.
If that is not the problem, then please attach your project file here so we can check it out.
