I am using a PC. I uploaded Java which may or may not be coincidental. I can only write an email by selecting a contact but the send button is no longer there. I can reply to an email but this now appears as a box at the bottom of the screen with a send button next to it.
Thanks for your interest
Hi. Welcome to the forums.
Are you logging into email using the browser or an email client such as Outlook, Thunderbird or Windows Live Mail ?
When you say you've "uploaded Java" - do you actually mean that you have installed a Java update when prompted, and when looking at the browser, accepted the add-in ? This should not interfere.
What browser are you using, IE8 or IE9, Firefox, Chrome, Opera or another ?
If you are using a browser, was the Send button just above the "Compose email" entry screen ?

JusJust downloaded iOS 7.0 on iPhone and now cannot send email -sender address rejected by server???
What happens when you go to the web based mail for your email account?
Are you able to login and send / receive messages from the web?
If so, you might need to check outgoing email settings on your iPhone
Settings > Mail, Contacts Calendars
Tap on the account you are having an issue with
Tap on the email address beside the word Account
Tap on info beside SMTP (SMTP = outgoing mail server)
Tap on the SMTP server name again.
Make sure server is turned on
Check settings & port info, password, etc.
Good luck! -
Can't send email - SEND button doesn't work
I recently upgraded this machine to 10.4 Today, I the SEND button in MAIL doesn't work. I also cannot select SEND from the menu. Nothing happens. Help!
I finally broke down and called Apple (I forgot I still had AppleCare on the machine). Basically, they had me trash my Preferences file and start over. (I had already tried trashing my com.apple.mail... file.) Trashing Prefs didn't fix anything, so I renamed my Library file and OSX created a new one. That fixed the problem, but now I have to dig out and slowly transfer my old Lib files back until I figure out which files are causing the problem. Yikes.
However, I was just reading in the latest MacWorld that after every upgrade you should immediately run Apple's Disk Utility and Repair Permissions. I wonder if that would have solved the problem? -
Sending email: sender address rejected by server?
Hi People
On an iphone 5s I have email accounts already set up and working fine but am trying to set a new one. It will receive but not send - I am getting message "sender address is rejected by the server". Have checked settings numerous times and have tried changing outgoing server port settings 465 with SSL and 25, 80 and 3535 without as recommended. Spoke to mobile and email provider - both said to try those things again (plus delete account and reinstall which I have done) Getting fed up with it now. Any suggestions much appreciated while I still have hair!
Thanks v muchNo you're right..will be a problem with me not the phone! Am using the pop settings not IMAP. Outgoing I am using is smtpout.europe.secureserver.net but I have also tried it without the "europe."
Thank you for your help so far...I have to go out now (boozing time in the UK) but will catch up tomorrow. Cheers for now. -
Today I noticed that when checking my emails using the iphone 5 - when I choose the edit button in the upper right corner as if I wanted to remove several emails at once by clicking on the circle next to the email and then putting those clicked in the trash went missing. Now when I hit edit - I still have ability to click on circles next to an email, but I don't have the ability to delete several (Or even 1 email). Has anyone had this problem??????
Thanks! And by today my iphone magically returned back to normal.....very odd but glad it just went back to where it belongs.

Send email button to include subject?
Greetings:
When configuring the On Success properties for a button, I
choose "Send email", and in the Send email to field, I enter
[email protected]?subject=Test.
This works fine when previewing; an email pops up with the
correct recipient and the Subject line appearing as expected.
However, after publishing to SWF, the email functionality works
again, but the subject line is blank.
Does someone know how to include a subject line in an email
generated by a "send email to" button after publishing?
Thanks in advance!Hi again
Ohhhh, THAT issue. Here is the fix. Captivate expects a full
string with no spaces. So you can take one of the following
approaches:
* Smoosh together, as in
[email protected]?subject="OrderEntry" (icky)
* Use an underscore, as in
[email protected]?subject="Order_Entry" (Better, but still
icky)
* Use the coding for a space, as in
[email protected]?subject="Order%20Entry" (Yay! Best approach)
Cheers... Rick -

I am practising to use different API like (easymail API's) to download my emails from the Mailserver, Send emails, send emails with attachments, etc.
I use Delphi under windwos 2000.
ARE there any API's like easymail which can do the same task?Suggest you ask your question in the Messaging forum (under Messaging & Collaboration). This forum is for Integration Server, which is not directly related to Messaging Server

ADOBE LiveCycle Designer 8 - EMAIL SUBMIT BUTTON DOES NOT WORK
I created a new form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8, but the email submit button, nor a regular button assigned with a 'submit' function will do anything. It should initiate a new Outlook email but it does not. My default programs are set correctly (default email program and the default "mailto" program are set to Outlook). This document was created not only with ALC8, but on a Windows Vista PC with MS Office 2007. I ran a test to see if it would work on a WinXP SP2 machine with Office 2003 and it still did not work.
Can anyone help?Alan
Though not an expert, I've created a few forms with the Submit by Email button. If you've already done this then sorry for asking, but did you go through the Acrobat Distribution (Forms>Distribute Forms)process after creating the form in LC8? As far as I can tell the email submit button doesn't work without this stage.
This confirms the email submission address, then sets up a dataset to be saved in a location of your choice.
filename_dataset_0001.pdf
then a file type that can be edited, saved and submitted by Reader users:
filename_pub_0001.pdf
You can save this to your intranet server or email direct to the recipient.
When the submit button is then used you receive a copy of the whole form which on opening will prompt you to add it to the dataset. Receiving and adding multiple forms to the data set is straightforward. You will see them all listed in the viewer above the form itself. From here you can also then select and export the data to Excel via xml or as a csv file.
Note that any changes you make to the form should be to the original document and the distribution process repeated, otherwise the functionality of the form will be affected.
That's about the limit of my knowledge I'm afraid, therefore if you have already tried this and are still having problems then hopefully someone else can help out.

Email Submit Button - Crash (Not severe)
To reproduce:
1. Create a new blank form. Select Next.
2. Select Defaults. Select Next.
3. Select any Return Method (E.g. Print) Select Next.
4. Select Finish to start.
5. Insert an Email Submit Button.
6. Leave the Email Address and Subject fields blank.
7. On the click event for example, type a code (e.g. app.fullscreen = true;)
8. Going back to the email field type an email address or subject.
9. Designer wouldn't be able to catch the error and crash.
This bug report is tagged as not severe since users can circumvent by simply avoiding this sequence. Note that other similar actions may trigger this event.Alan

I just upgraded to 10.10. On the mail program, one of my accounts is having an issue sending email. I am getting the following error message:
The certificate for this server is invalid.
Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent.
But on another machine running Mavericks, I can still continue to send email. The same is try from my iPhone 5S.
On that machine running Mavericks the SMTP is configured as SSL and for "Usual Ports" (25, 465, 587) but THIS OPTION IS MISSING ON THE NEW VERSION. On the new version I have tried configuring the port to 25 and then 465 and 587 with no success. I have used the Network Utility to see if my provider is blocking me -- it is not. I have no third-party software on this machine (anti virus). I can receive email fine. On the new Yosemitie Mail there are new checkbox options of Automatically check my settings and Allow unsecure connections. I tried to uncheck SSL for SMTP but then it says it cannot send securely my passowrd and i need to check the option "Allow to send unsecurely". I did that but the same error message keeps appearing. So I have tried nearly everything I have been able to, all to no avail. Please can somebody help? Thanks for your reply. Yes, it is a POP account. Incoming mail is fine. My port for incoming is also 110. But the outgoing port should be 587 (or 24, 465 and 587 as on Mavericks' "Usual Ports" option). I am using the same configuration across three different devices and only the machine running Yosemite is having issues. I notice in the new version of Mail there is no longer the "Usual Ports" option. I am not sure this is the culprit or not. But the fact is no matter how I configure it, it will not send mail for these particular servers. I have multiple clients and only one is affected, meaning I can send email from other email addresses (different hosting contracts) on Yosemite but on this one particular one I cannot.

How can I disable the Send to Email button?
Hi all,
While creating a basic user ID in BOBJ 4.1 we found that even though we disable their Send Email rights in the BI Launchpad, they are still able to send emails from within the Analysis for OLAP tool.
The reason why this is a problem is it asks users for a "From" email address, where they can put any email address from within the corporate network, which can result in the following scenario, where anyone can impersonate anyone else in the company.
Does anyone know how we can restrict the Send Button, or at least remove the "From" field so users can only send emails from their own email address? In Webi, there is a specific right for this called "Desktop Interface - Send By Mail" but there is nothing like this as far as I can tell in any of the Analysis-related security items.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
John CintoloWhat would be the point? Any user can download the file from the web: right click then save as. If you want users not to be able to open a pdf file after they view it one time, then Adobe has a DRM solution that can do this. It does cost a bit of change though.

How can i put a submit button in a survey and it send to my email
how can i put a submit button in a survey and it send to my email?
Hi williamm89908146,
You need to open the form in which you want to put the submit button,
then you have to choose 'Add new field' under Tasks pane on the right Hand side of the window.
Choose 'Ok' Button
Place the button at desired Location
Change the field name to 'Submit'
Click on 'All Properties' (Button Properties window Will open up)
Click on Actions Tab and then on 'Select Action:'
Choose 'Open a web Link' from the Drop Down Menu and then Click 'Add'
another window will appear in which you have to type this: mailto:[your email address], eg: mailto:[email protected] later click close
Click Close Form editing on the right hand side of the window
Clicking on the Button would open up your default email client and your address would appear in 'To' field.
Please feel free if you face any challenges in following through these steps.

Users will use form to fill in stats for enquiries so they want to keep form open, complete a form, click button to submit by email, then click another button to clear form, form now ready to accept form's responses. They dont' want to keep opening form each time form needs to be completed.
Hope you help.
Thanks SandraHi,
Thanks for your response, not sure what you mean by a loop. I put together
a draft form to show staff in our Knowledge Centre the sort of thing
Livecycle Designer can do.
(See attached file: Library Request Form_pub_0001.pdf)
They are currently writing out on form and manually putting into excel to
keep stats on the requests.
Due to current Global Financial Crisis my section does not want to spend
extra money at the moment seeking assistance from our tech heads. So we
are looking for least work no expense option for keeping stats. I am a PA
who just happens to have Livecycle program on my computer.
We use Lotus Notes so I thought the staff could save copy of Library
request form in the stationery folder. The staff using the form want to be
able to do the following:
1. open the Library request form at the beginning of the day;
2. when a request comes in, complete the form and click on Send by email
button
3. click on a Clear Data button to clear all data from all fields so the
form is open ready for when the next request comes in.
Staff are time poor and, as this is only one of their numerous duties, they
don't want to keep going to a location and opening a file which can be very
slow on some days
Each day form may be filled out by approximately 15 staff who may receive
anything from 0 - 4 requests a day.
I am not a tech head so script writing is a deep, dark mystery. Can you
help using the form above as an example for achieving step 3 above.
Thanks,
Sandra Smith

Please respond to Designer 8 - Is it possible to have
clearspace-200985 button to clear fields after user
0098-481178-2-216 has clicked submit by email button
[email protected]. so user can reuse form to send
adobe.com another response with different

if i understand this correctly, you just want everything cleared whena
buttons is pressed?
you can either do it individually:
on button click:
mytextField.rawData=""
or do a loop, using child/paretns..
