Can't validate purchase date

Hello all!
I am a proud Macbook owner, but when I tried to register my product, I failed. The selfsolve page says "Please validate your purchase date" and when I click on it, I get back to the screen where I have to enter a serial number. This loop can be repeated infinitely.
What should I do? Is this a bug, or is something wrong with my browser? I use Google Chrome.
Thank you for your attention!

If you're registering an Apple product on an Apple website, it couldn't hurt to use an Apple browser (Safari) to do it.
Note that if you bought your rMBP from Apple, it's already registered.

    It'll be complicated in pure SQL, as you'll have to parse out day, month and year and then validate the day against the month and year bearing in mind the rules for leap years. It would be simpler to write a PL/SQL function and call that.Nah, not that complicated, you just need to generate a calender to validate against.

  • Can SOA validate invoice data before the webservice sends a response?

    I'm working with another branch of the company, and they're having trouble getting SOA to validate invoice data before it goes into Oracle financials.  They claim that SOA can't validate the invoices according to our business rules, and can only validate the input data based on the schema defined in the webservice.  Even the validation from the schema is useless because it produces schema violation rules that I can't return to a user.
    After the webservice lets go of the data, there's a multi-step scheduled process where the data is handed off from scheduled process to scheduled process, so SOA can't guarantee in any way to the client end that invoices will get into the database. and worse, the data could get "stuck" at any one of these stages far after a user has submitted it.
    Is any of this true?  Is there no programming language within SOA that can perform validation of the business rules, and insert the data into Oracle all on it's own?  I've little or no familiarity with Oracle, but it's kind of incredible to believe that this is how Oracle designed the major interface to interact with 3rd party applications.

    People insist on using HTTP because it is the easiest to get through forward proxies, reverse proxies, and firewalls.
    If you don't have to deal with those devices, then there are other protocol options.
    As far as the amount of data, that is what my customers want to upload...
    I suppose I could break it down into multiple requests, use compression etc.
    I could also have the server reset the connection on a fatal error like this. (one which occurs within the POST body)
    That would eliminate the keep-alive also since I do not want to waste another 10 minutes to resync the messages.

  • How can I validate a date field in Portal Forms

    I have a date field in portal forms that I want to perform validation on to make sure it's in the proper format before being accepted (mm/dd/yyyy). How can I validate against that field?

    Hi Ben,
    I took the time to test and revise. This is code that will validate a date entry (format MM/DD/YYYY). Just paste this in the "Before the start of the form..." window of the Additional PL/SQL code section of the form. Then add validateDate(); into the onBlur event window of the field in question. Replace the CYCLE_END_DATE with the field name in question.
    HTP.P('
    <SCRIPT LANGUAGE=javascript>
    function validateDate() {
    var ddObj;
    var mmObj;
    var yyObj;
    var day;
    var mon;
    var year;
    var field_val;
    var field_name;
    for (var j=0; j < document.forms[0].elements.length; j++) {
    field_name = document.forms[0].elements[j].name;
    field_val = document.forms[0].elements[j].value;
    if (field_name.substring(field_name.indexOf(''DEFAULT.'') + 8, field_name.lastIndexOf(''.01'')) == ''CYCLE_END_DATE'') {
    var delimPos = field_val.search(/\//i);
    if (delimPos < 0)
    alert(''Invalid date entry! Please enter in MM/DD/YYYY format. '' +
    ''e.g, Dec 21, 2003 would be entered as 12/21/2003'');
    else
    if (field_val.length != 10)
    alert(''Invalid date entry! Please Please enter in MM/DD/YYYY format. '' +
    ''e.g, Jan 1, 2003 would be entered as 01/01/2003'');
    else {
    month = field_val.substring(0, field_val.indexOf(''/''));
    day = field_val.substring(field_val.indexOf(''/'') + 1, field_val.lastIndexOf(''/''));
    year = field_val.substring(field_val.lastIndexOf(''/'') + 1, 10);
    /* Need to subtract 1 from value because in Javascript, January begins with 0
    and ends with 11 for December */
    month = month - 1;
    ddObj = new Date(year, month, day);
    mmObj = new Date(year, month, day);
    yyObj = new Date(year, month, day);
    if (ddObj.getDate(ddObj.setDate(day)) != day)

  • How can i validate the data in the control file?

    Consider that the SQLLoader reads the Input data File from the path and it loads the data into the tables based up on the descrition specified in the control File.
    First, the table to be filled is created:
    create table sql_loader_1 ( load_time date, field_1 Numeric, field_2 varchar2(10)
    Sample Control File :
    load_1.ctl
    load data
    infile 'load_1.dat' "str '\r\n'"
    insert into table sql_loader_1
    load_time sysdate,
    field_2 position( 1:10),
    field_1 position(11:20)
    Note that the positions 11 through 20 are loaded into field_1 and positions 1 through 10 into field_2. The field load_time is filled with the current time (sysdate) of the load.
    Here's the data. The name of the file (load_1.dat) had been specified with the infile statement in the control file.
    load_1.dat
    0123456789abcdefghij
    foo bar
    here comes a very long line
    and the next is
    short
    Here i want to validate the field_1 (Numeric Datatype) since the data file contains the character value (i.e)abcdefghij

  • Where can I find the purchase date of my ipod?

    I bought my ipod from the Navy Exchange and bought additional insurance from them. They need the date I purchased my ipod so they can determine if it is still covered (whic I know it is but I don't have my reciept anymore as proof). Can anyone tell me where I can find my purchase date? If not that, then where I can find when my warranty started? I'm guessing that the warranty starts from the day you purchased your ipod so that information whould be helpful.

  • How to validate when date format is diff Internally and externally

    Hello,
    How can I validate the Date format if Internal format and external format is different.
    Ex :
    *  SELECT SINGLE CRTSP
    **                FROM /SAPSLL/PR
    **                INTO L_CRTSP
    **                WHERE CRTSP IN S_CRTSP .
    CRTSP (YYYY/DD/MM HHMMSEC) Internal Format
    S_CRTSP (YYYY/DD/MM) External format - selection option
    I had done following to convert the internal format to external format.
    DATA : LV_DT TYPE STRING.
    DATA :  L_CRTSP TYPE /SAPSLL/CRTSP.
    SELECT SINGLE CRTSP
                    FROM /SAPSLL/PR
                    INTO L_CRTSP.
    MOVE : L_CRTSP TO LV_DT. "(YYYY/DD/MM HHMMSEC)
    L_LEN = STRLEN( LV_DT ).
    L_DATE = LV_DT+0(8).
    I have the date format that i need in L_DATE."  (YYYY/DD/MM)
    Now how should I validate?
    *  SELECT SINGLE CRTSP
    **                FROM /SAPSLL/PR
    **                INTO L_CRTSP
    **                WHERE CRTSP IN S_CRTSP .
    Please let me know how can I validate or how can I write the select query to validate this field.
    There should be some way using Wildcard or some function module...which I am not sure...
    Any suggestions will be appreciated!

  • Default purchase data in BOM

    One can use default purchase data in a BOM, like G/L account, purchasing group and vendor. This data will be copied into a maintenance order (components) when using the BOM. I need some more purchase fields like unloading point, requirement number and ship-to, to be set in the BOM and copied into maintenance order.
    Is it possible to add these fields to a BOM and copy them into the order?
    Thanx
    Rhonda

    hi
    In SAP standard  i think it is not possible to add the fields you required, but i think with the help of customer exit you can do that.
    Also other option is there create BOM with the available field , then while creating the Task list attach this BOM , in Task list you can able to specify the fields you required and then you can copy this in to the maintenance order

  • How do I get purchase date in playlist export?

    I want to identify my iTunes music purchases and keep a file of this information.
    When I create a Smart Playlist in iTunes that displays only those items where Purchased is True.
    Viewing the list in iTunes, I can see the Purchase Date.
    I then select - File > Library > Export Playlist > and save the result as a .TXT file.
    When I open this file using Excel for Mac or Numbers, the Purchase Date is not one of the columns.
    Any idea how to get purchase date as a column returned?
    TIA - JP

    If anyone would like to see the true purchase date and you wish to place this information in a file for reference, I discovered that if you create a SmartPlaylist for Purchase = true and make sure that you are showing the Purchase Date in the list, select all the rows, copy and then paste into a text document and then open as a tab delimited spreadsheet, you'll have a true list of all songs that you've purchased and their dates.

  • Lost my receipt and can't validate my purchase.

    Hi,
    I asked a friend to buy a late 2011 MBP in last december 2011. He did but now i can't find the receipt or else he didn't give it to me. So now i tried to
    get my coverage information, in order to think about buying an apple care, but when i introduce my serial number apple says that can't check my purchase date, so it seems i'm not getting any coverage at all. Any way of getting back this information to validate my product? It can't only depend on a piece of paper i ssume....
    thanx

    Try registering your Macbook first then see if you can see your coverage information after you've registered it.
    Here's the link for it.

    I don't have a receipt for my Macbook since I'm out of town, but I've gotten repairs done under warranty.

  • How can I check the date of purchase for my MacBook Pro?

    I need to fill out a claim in order to get OS X Mountain Lion and I need the date of purchase. I have tried putting in the serial code under check your service and support coverage but it just gave me a vague statement thatit was purchased mid 2012. Could someone please tell me how I can check the date of purchase?

    Well, correction, just checked mine...
    Tells you exipry date of warranty, simply take 1 year off of this or 3 if you have AppleCare.
    There is your purchase date.
