Can we pass the ant property to the wlst script?

Hi,
I am using WLST to configure domain. Is there ant way in which we can pass the ant property to script tag? Rite now we are hardcoding the username, password and serverIp in the script.
<target name="configServer">
<wlst debug="false" failOnError="false" executeScriptBeforeFile="true" fileName="./myscript.py">
<script> connect('weblogic','weblogic','t3://localhost:7001')
</script>
</wlst>
</target>
So essentially the above script will lok like following
<target name="configServer">
<wlst debug="false" failOnError="false" executeScriptBeforeFile="true" fileName="./myscript.py">
<script> connect(${username},${password},'t3://${serverIP}:7001')
</script>
</wlst>
</target>
Thanks,

In 10.3, we added a replaceProperties option to allow ant properties to be
evaluated in <script> tag.
In the meantime, you may be able to use the load properties command in WLST.

  • EL in the "action" property of the button

    I am using ADFBC with JDeveloper 10.1.3.3
    I have a scenario where by pressing on a button on a page, I want to be able to return to the originating page, and there are multiple originating pages.
    I can achieve this by putting the logic in the "action method" of the backing bean. It just seems to me to be lots of overheads with creating backing beans just for this purpose. I am wondering if there are easier ways. What I would like to be able to do is to put the logic as an EL in the "action" property of the button itself, but apparently, this is not allowed. Please advise.

    User,
    The backing bean is absolutely the correct place for this type of logic. Backing beans are part of the "controller" piece of the MVC (model-view-controller) architecture. The controller is responsible for flow-of-control; hence the backing bean is a proper place for it.
    What you are trying to do is to essentially put the controller logic into the view layer - much like the way people used to create JSP's with code interspersed with markup.
    I would strongly recommend you do this type of logic/code in the backing bean.

  • How to get the count property from the oData response

    Hi,
    I have a fullscreen view in my Fiori app where we call a oData service through table.bindItems() inside the controller.
    The binding of items works fine but we have a situation when we need to display the total number of items (for e.g. 515) on the UI. We do not get this information from the VDM, so we plan to use the length property of the getList() method to determine the total number of items. But because of growing feature of the table it only reads 100 items at a time and the length property returns only 100. I have attached the listener attachRequestCompleted() for the model so that once the bindItems() request is complete i can get the length property. But my problem is that i want the total count.
    I saw in the debug that when this table.bindItems() gets called it makes a oData service call and in the response i can see that there is a count property available which has the total number of items (515 for my e.g.) but how do i read this count property from the response inside my controller (probably inside my attachRequestCompleted)?? I would really appreciate any help in this regard. Thanks.
    Kind Regards,

    HI Chandra,
    Thanks for your suggestions.
    But i think in my case we do not want to get the complete list. We still want to get only 100 items initially and then if the user would scroll down he/she would see more items. But we already need to know the total number of items for the purpose of showing a message to the user. For e.g. Total issues (515),  but the table would initially show only 100 and then another 100 after scroll. So setting the size litmit to max would not help.
    And to be able to use the $count you mentioned, we have to still make another oData service call which we do not want.
    But as i mentioned there is already a property named "__count" in the response of the bindItems() method call and i see that it has correct count but not sure how to retrieve it inside the controller. Thanks.

    Ashish

  • Does anyone know what the entity property of the currency dimension does?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to figure out what the Entity property of the Currency dimension does.  All the online documentation I can find has the definition below which is not all that useful.  Has anyone uses this before and know how it can be used?
    Thanks,
    Morgan
    Online definition
    A 32-character field that can either be left blank or contain a valid
    member name of the entity dimension associated to the current model. The ENTITY property is
    validated against the entity dimension, and blank fields are allowed.

    Sounds like it provides one (extra) internet phone number that goes to their servers first. Then it could work like this:
    1) If you have the app running on your phone (oops, no background processing... perhaps this will be one of the first tests of background notifications), it uses the GPS to tell the server if you're near a landline that you've previously registered with it. If so, their server redirects the call to the landline phone.
    2) While you're on a call, you can start a conference call that includes the alternative phone (landline or iPhone) and then hang up on the old one. That would give a "seamless" switchover.

  • Changes in the value of the Arc property "Include in DDL Script" is not being saved.

    I have arcs in my design that I want that the automatic DDL code not being generated because the FK are compound and the code generated for the validation of the arc in these more complex cases is not correct, so I created an explicit constraint on the table for this validation.
    But the problem is that the Arc property "Include into DDL Script" is not being saved into the design.
    If I unchecked the option for the arc and generate or preview the DDL  the arc code is not generated.
    But when I save the project, close and reopen the arcs have this option enabled again.
    I've been checking the xml files for the arcs and this property is not being included, then by default generates always.
    Thanks!

    This problem is fixed in Data Modeler version 4.0 EA3 which is now available to download.

    Are you sure that your account dimension was working before to apply your modification?
    Did you add just one property ore more properties?
    Did you delete any existing properties?
    Did you try to do modify account dimension without adding any porperties to see if that dimension is fine?

  • How can I pass Flex Field value to the Call Wrap Up screen?

    Hello helpers,
    I am trying to get a value from the 'Flex Field' passed over to the 'Call Wrap Up' screen by using Form Personalization.
    Oracle was configured by a subcontractor and therefore I do not know what the exact name of the textfield is in the Flex Field however the label is 'Method of Contact'. When i set 'Show Custom Events' to 'On', I get the response: 'CSXXXRC.INCIDENT_TRACKING.STATUS_CODE:WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE' When i enter a value in the Method of Contact field in the Flex Field.
    Can anyone help?
    I am a complete Newbie to Oracle.... I only know a bit about Oracle Form Personalization.
    Any help would be much appreciated,

  • Can we pass temporary result set to the  procedure?

    Hi,
    The result set is stored in a temporary storage. Can we pass that resultset to the procedure?
    Thanks and regards
    Gowtham Sen.

    I'm still unclear just what this result set is... Is is a table or a cursor or something else?
    If you imply the physical result set of a SQL query, there is no such thing in Oracle. Oracle does not create and store a result set in memory containing the rows of the SQL SELECT. Creating such sets in memory does not scale. A single SELECT on such a database can kill the performance of the entire database by exhasuting all memory with a single large physical result set.
    Oracle "results" live in the database cache (residing in the SGA). Rows (as data blocks) are paged into and out of this case as demand dictates. When PL/SQL code, for example, fetches a row, the SQL engine grabs the row from the db cache (SGA) and copies it to the PGA (the private memory area of the PL/SQL process). The row also may not yet exist in the db cache - in which case it needs a physical read from disk to get the data block containing that row into the db cache (after which it is copied to the PGA).
    A PL/SQL process can do a bulk fetch - e.g. fetch a 100 rows from the SQL query/cursor at a time. In that case, a 100 rows are copied from the SGA db cache to the PGA.
    At no time is there are single large unique and dedicated memory struct in the SGA that contains the complete "result set" of a SQL query.
    Once you have fetched that row, that is it. Deal is done. You cannot reverse the cursor and fetch the row again. After you have fetched the last row in that cursor, you cannot pass that cursor to another process - the cursor is now empty. That other process cannot rewind the cursor and start fetching from the 1st row again. You will need to pass the SQL to that process in order for it to create its own cursor - also keeping in mind that in between the rows can have changed and that this other process could now see different results with its cursor.
    If you want to create such a physical temporary result set that is consistent and re-usable, you can use a temporary table - and insert the results of the SELECT into this temp table for further processing. This temp table is session specific and is auto destroyed when the session terminates.
    A comment though - it sounds like you're approaching the date warehouse processing (scrubbing, transformation and loading of data) as a row-by-row process.
    That is a flawed approach. Row-by-row processing does not scale. One should deal with data sets. Especially when the volumes are large. One should also attempt to perform minimal passes through a data set. Processing a bunch of rows, then passing that rows to another process to do some processing on the same rows.. this means multiple passes through the same data. That is very inefficient performance and resource wise.

  • Can Stratus pass an app id to the callback script?

    Never mind, I looked at this the wrong way.
    My question was: can Stratus pass my callback script some
    kind of application id so I can distinguish which AS3 app is making
    the request in case I'd have more than one app.
    Obviously that's something I can control myself in the
    WebServiceUrl setting.

    Just print it out as a Javascript variable.

  • HP4275A can not pass self test after running the labview program

    I am using Labview to control HP4275A LCR meter. The Labview program is just the instrument driver for the HP4275A, and it works great. Before running the program, the instrument can pass both Open and Short test perfectly. But after running the program, it can not pass self test, neither Open nor Short. I don't know why?? Is it relative to my Labview program??
    Thanks

    Thank you so much for your help. Yes, the instrument is in Local after running the instrument driver. In normal Open self test, just choose Capactiance as the Display A, and leave the four output terminals open then press the Self Test button. The Open self test will start and "OP" will be shown in the DIsplay A window, after 2 seconds, the open test will be finished. If something abnormal, the number of the abnormal step is displayed in Display A. Similar with the Short test.
    The problem I had was: before running the instrument driver, the self tests pass; but after running the instrument driver, the Open and Short test show abnormal, Open test is abnormal at step 17, and Short test is abnormal at step 24.
    And the instrument driver is only write commands into the instrument and then read back measuring values from it. Nothing else. So I am not sure if the problem is my instrument driver.
    The weird thing is the problems happened several times and then if I do the Open and Short self test again after running the instrument driver, both pass. I am not sure whether the problem will come back or not.
    Ia there any help??
    Big thanks

  • How can I pass a xml file to the webservice?

    Hello friends,
    How can I pass the XML file to any webservice API ?
    I have all the inputs of API in to the XML file.
    Please note:- I don't intend to do any .NET or Java coding to populate the data in the objects .Instead I plan to input the data to the webservice direcly from the XML file required schema.
    If necessary I can use Oracle Bpel process manager for it.

    Well, I've used it (or rather: tried it); did not/could not find the many options to export at a nearly lossless conversion for HD footage (hence my disclaimer "don't know"). Here is a screenshot of the Handbrake options:

    Maybe not empirical, but enough for me to have an opinion.
