Sir ,
I am planning to install Exchange server 2010 Sp3 . But in my operating system is Windows Server 2012 R2 . So i have to confirm is that possible or not ? Can anyone know please help me. Thanks in advance .

Hi,
As all above saying, it is not supported to install Exchange server 2010 SP3 in Windows Server 2012 R2. Please refer to
supported Operating Systems for
Exchange server 2010:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/library/aa996719(v=exchg.141)
Additionally, Windows Server 2012 R2 will be a supported operating system for Exchange Server 2013 with SP1 coming in early 2014. Let’s waiting for the release about it. For more information, please refer to:

You can install and use exchnage,SQL,SharePoint on Server 2012 r2 standart without any problem.Sql on Domain controller not right config. You could intsall SQL another server.

    Any advice please !!

I can't answer your question but I had a similar issue when I was trying to move our mailbox database off the C: drive.  Our environment still has an Exchange 2007 server in it and when I was trying to move the database on the 2013 server, I would get
error messages saying the database does not exist.  It seemed like it was trying to move the database on the 2007 server from the similar error messages that I was getting.  To get around it, I deleted the database and created a new one on the drive
    where we wanted it.
I discovered this when I was configuring the Antispam settings.  I deleted our 2007 settings, added them to the 2013 shell, the settings appeared on our 2007 server.  The shell on 2013 was making changes to 2007.
I'm not sure if there is a "Get|Set or New" command that I/we should be using when this happens.  Or maybe my issues will be fixed if I just remove the Exchange 2007 server?  I'm not ready to do that yet because I can't configure the spam filtering
on 2013 yet with its shell not being able to make the changes that we need.
I don't know if your environment is in coexistence mode like mine.
Hopefully someone else out there has an answer or can tell us when/how the shell can make the appropriate changes to the 2013 server.  Does this happen after the 2007 server is removed?

  • Installing Exchange 2007 on a Windows Server 2008

Hello I am new to the Microsoft forum and I have a quick question and please let me know if im posting my question in the wrong place. Im doing a school project were you have two servers with Windows Server 2008 installed on them. The first server suppose
to have Active directory and domain services followed by dns which I did. The second server which I just found out suppose to have installed Netframework 3.0, Wpa and Desktop experience roles then install Microsoft Exchange 2007. Well my issue is when I try
to install exchange on my second server it keeps giving me a error message saying my Active directory cannot be contacted or may not exist and that my second server has the wrong security credentials. I've taken the steps that Microsoft has advise by checking
my domain. Which I used the command Dcdiag.exe on my first server and it saids the domain is able to be contacted. Also when I joined my second domain I made sure to put the domain name of the first server in all caps followed by /Administrator and my password
and it said welcome to the domain. So has anybody run into that type of error message when trying to install exchange 2007 on a separate server? Lastly forget to include I also have web server IIS installed on the second server as well. Exchange is then asking
for IIS 7.0 ? So any tips or troubleshooting would be helpful since my professor wasn't much a help and I gotta turn this lab stuff in by next week.
    thanks gmoney38

Not sure I  need to check that through the dns is working far as ive seen in the server manager . Because I remember before I did this one command for the dns and it said something was wrong with the host A record. So I went through the hierarchy of
windows to that file and opened it up through the notepad it showed  my loopback ip address 127.0.0.1 and localhost and not my domain name which I choose contoso01.com so from a previous forum I read if you change the localhost name to that domain name
that it would help but im not sure if this would in my case. Thanks for answering my question Mr. Ed but I still need some more help through!
gmoney38 ps plus im using vmware for this project to have the two servers i wonder if this is why im having issues!

  • Lync Server 2010 Mobility. Server does not call mobile.

    Hello all.
We have an infrastructure with Lync Server 2010 SE, Edge Server, ISA.
Everything works fine, Enterprise Voice is enabled and integrated with IP PBX.
Lync 2010 desktop client can call to PSTN without any problem.
But when user logs in to mobile client, iPhone Lync Mobility client for example, server tries to call to users' number but an error occurs, that user is not online, IM works just fine.
The reason is - call goes to trunk in the following format 98XXXXXXX with normalization rules, server tries to call in e.164 format +7XXXXXXXXXX.
Everybody knows how to normalize server calls?

Open Lync Server Control Panel, click Voice Routing and then click Test Voice Routing, enter the dialed number to test with the Dial Plan and Voice Policy assigned to the caller.

  • Can I put OS X Yosemite on my 2010 macbook pro with current operating system 10.6.8?

Can I put OS X Yosemite on my 2010 macbook pro with current operating system OS X10.6.8?  I just bought a new printer and it requires minimum 10.7

You cannot get Mavericks because it has been replaced by Yosemite. Your machine will work just fine with Yosemite, but you don't have to upgrade if you prefer not to.
You should always maintain a backup. Hard drives fail, data are lost. A backup is a security blanket for your data.
    Basic Backup
For some people Time Machine will be more than adequate. Time Machine is part of OS X. There are two components:
    1. A Time Machine preferences panel as part of System Preferences;
    2. A Time Machine application located in the Applications folder. It is
used to manage backups and to restore backups. Time Machine
requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the
         drive being backed up.
    3. Time Machine requires a backup drive that is at least double the
capacity of the drive(s) it backs up.
Alternatively, get an external drive at least equal in size to the internal hard drive and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the Restore option of Disk Utility. You can also make and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (order is not significant):
      1. Carbon Copy Cloner
      2. Get Backup
      3. Deja Vu
      4. SuperDuper!
      5. Synk Pro
      6. Tri-Backup
Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on backup and restore.  Also read How to Back Up and Restore Your Files. For help with using Time Machine visit Pondini's Time Machine FAQ for help with all things Time Machine.
Although you can buy a complete external drive system, you can also put one together if you are so inclined.  It's relatively easy and only requires a Phillips head screwdriver (typically.)  You can purchase hard drives separately.  This gives you an opportunity to shop for the best prices on a hard drive of your choice.  Reliable brands include Seagate, Hitachi, Western Digital, Toshiba, and Fujitsu.  You can find reviews and benchmarks on many drives at Storage Review.
    Enclosures for FireWire and USB are readily available.  You can find only FireWire enclosures, only USB enclosures, and enclosures that feature multiple ports.  I would stress getting enclosures that use the Oxford chipsets especially for Firewire drives (911, 921, 922, for example.)  You can find enclosures at places such as;
      1. Cool Drives
      2. OWC
      3. WiebeTech
      4. Firewire Direct
      5. California Drives
      6. NewEgg
All you need do is remove a case cover, mount the hard drive in the enclosure and connect the cables, then re-attach the case cover.  Usually the only tool required is a small or medium Phillips screwdriver.

Installed Maverick.  My cleasning program says my operating system is not supported.

    Hello,
The CCleaner Program form Priform does not support OSX Mavericks.
I personally feel that you do not need a 3RD party cleaning software on your apple computer, due to the fact that the computer performs these tasks automatically.

  • Is it possible to install Exchange Management Shell on a workstation to manage my Exchange 2013 server?

I don't want to log into my Exchange 2013 every time when I need the Exchange Management Shell. Is that possible I can just install it on my workstation and then remote access to it? Thanks.
    Lawrence Fung

Correct - it is in the article Amy references, but is in the bulleted section at the top
The computer you install the management tools on must have a supported operating system (such as Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8), have enough disk space, be a member of an Active Directory domain, and satisfy other requirements. For information about system
    requirements, see
    Exchange 2013 System Requirements.

    Hi Ed,
Thanks a bunch for your quick response
I've been practicing different scenarios in a test environment.  I'm using TechNet Subscription downloads which, to my knowledge, have Exchange 2010 with SP1 only available.  That's what I'm using.
I got over this first error by 'Not checking the box for Automatically install Roles & features required for Exchange'.
Then it would not install the mailbox role.  Found an article that referred to modifying the registry.  The installation proceeded normally after modifying the registry as per the following article:
    http://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Exchange-2010-SP1-SP2-c939e791
Now, when I start EMC, it connects to the server and shows my server name; however, there are no options available under it. I still have it as 120 day trial version.  Do I need to add the product key before I would have access? (I didn't think
so)  I can't add key through EMC because no options available.
Can you please suggest a resolution to this problem?
Thank you so much for your support.
    Best regards,
    Parm :)
