Can you get your money back for a misleading app

Hello
I bought an app because the decription gave sounded a lot like what I was looking for. Turns out its not and they failed to mention that you then also have to subscribe to their website to use it properly.

Apple won't give you the money back. So you can just learn from it for the future:
1.) Read the complete description
2.) Read the comments from the other users
3.) Have a look if there is a free lite version to test it.

Can you get your money back from itunes

if you purchase a itunes gift card you will not be able get your money back. unless if it has never been used, such as enetering the bar code then you can probably take it in to the original store where you bought it from with the receipt.

  • Can you get your money back from canceling a pre-order?

I recently pre-ordered an album that I no longer want.  I canceled the pre-order but my current balance on my account hasn't changed.  I spent $17 on the album, and want to know if there is any way that I can get that back.
    Thanks,

  • Can you get your money back after you gift someone an app and it doesn't work?

I kneed to know if you can get your money back when you gift an app to someone if it doesnt work. Thanks!

If you've tried contacting the developer and not had a response then you can try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account (Store > View My Apple ID on iTunes 11) and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and click the arrow to the left of it, click the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

  • How do you get your money back for a ap gift card thats bunk.

I bought an app card as i,m visiting the states for a few months, But my store country is Canada. If I try to change countries Im warned I will loose my magazine descriptions.  even if I put in my address while here it says my banking info must be from States,  this is totally frustrating that there was no warning on the sales area.  50 bucks is a lot for a pensioner.   is there a way to this to get my money back or use the card?

  • Can you get your money back if the app you purchased doesn't work properly?

    Hi,
I recently bought the MobileNoter SE app in order to sync my OneNotes between Playbook, Windows Phone and Laptops.
Once the Playbook was added to the previously fully functioning sync system things started to go wrong, so much so that I've had to re-create a lot of my notebooks.
There are a whole host of flaws and bugs with the app - some people say this is just an Android App which is ported which might account for the bugs if it wasn't fully tested after.
I posted a review which has been taken down - presumably by MobileNoter - without explanation.
I mailed support and they initially sounded like they wanted to help but have since gone silent. I have asked for my money back but more silence.
I wouldn't mind but this app is £20 for which you would expect a fully functional app. This is far from it.
Anyone know what the procedure is now to get a refund. Is there some way Blackberry can help?
    Many thanks

    Actually, wrong.
The tech support people can help with Playbook purchased apps. If you've called and they said they cannot, you were lied to.
Even in the link you posted, in #10, it states clearly "App Refund related matters are handled by BlackBerry Customer Care." That, my friend is accessed by the support number. Again, if you were told otherwise, you should inform them of such or ask for a manage/supervisor.
And, you don't have a "Partner ID" because you are not a "Partner". The section you're referring to applies to mobile providers, which are the Partners.
    Good luck.

  • Can you get your money back from returning an apple product?

    Mind on my $Money$..

No, but If you bought your iPod with a credit card, check with your card company.  Some cards provide Purchase Protection insurance which will replace or repair any item lost, stolen or damaged within 90 days of purchase.

  • How do you get your money back if the product/app you bought didn't download?

I tried to buy an iBook yesterday. I had enough money on my card to buy it. When I clicked the buy book tab, it said that my card was declined. So I checked my balance and it took my money but the book isn't there. Either my money needs to be put back on my card or that book needs to appear in iBooks.

Does the book show in the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks for downloading, and the amount that's come off your card is the book's price, it's not a temporary store holding charge (which should disappear within a few days or so) ?
If it doesn't show in Purchased then you could check to see if it shows in your Purchaes history so that you can use the 'report a problem' link from it : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If doesn't show there or the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.
For the card being declined, if it's a debit card then I don't think that they are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined
If it's a credit card then is it registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, it was issued by a bank in your country and you are currently in that country ? If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes support as above and see if they know why it's being declined.

  • Can i get my money back for a bad app

I had bought a couple of apps right when I got my mac but lots of them were very useless and dumb. Is there a way to get a refund? Thanks

You do not say how long you have had these apps...but you can try contacting the stores support staff, all one group, at http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html and see if they can help.

Can you trade in your iPad for another one???.......... If you can would you get your money back?????

Generally, no.  You have 2 weeks from purchase.   But you have options. Www.gazelle.com will make you an offer. Sell it to them, then go buy what you want.  What is the issue?  Just trading for a different machine will get you only what you had in the first place.
