Canadians cant buy games - wondering if switching my account to american?

Canadians cant buy games from the itunes store with credit from a itunes gift card. I dont know why but I was wondering if changing my location to the us will allow me to buy games with my credit, if i will keep my credit, and most importantly, is it legal?

It's not something that can be "fixed" since it's not an error on the iTunes Store, it's a policy based on some Canadian law or tax ruling. Unless and until that changes, you will only be able to purchase any apps from the App Store with a credit card.

Awhile back i lost my email security questions. The same email is linked to my apple id. I also lost my Security questions to my apple id. Your account is linked to Tom.com who is Skype partner in China. Usually account is linked to Tom.com if you have created your account in China or made purchases there.

I can only imagine how upset I would be to discover that over $1000 in gift card funds seemed to be missing. I certain that I would not do well with the additional complications that you've described either. I apologize for you and your boyfriend having to cope with this situation. What happens when you try to buy the item, if you are getting an error message then what does it say ?

Do you have Restrictions on? Tap Settings > General > Restrictions and look for In-App Purchases.
Try downloading something else from the App Store, to make sure there isn't a connection issue.
If it isn't restrictions or a connection issue, contact the iTunes Store people using Express Lane.

Just a thought:
Do you have an Apple store in your state?
State sales taxes may apply if you do have a brick & mortar store in the state
& depending how close to "like 11 dollars" that $10 game is, you may not have enough to cover the full cost (with tax).
That may not be the issue, but can't tell from the original comment.
