Mifi devices are usually quite small. Think Credit Card size, and maybe slightly thicker. So not really a big device you need to carry around.
In any case if you are still within the 14 day return period you may be able to return it to an Apple retail store. It needs to be an Apple Owned store, not sure Authorized Resellers will let you do it.
Other than that, bob points out, you may want to try to use the iPhone as a hotspot for the iPad. If your Carrier supports it. Like the Mifi device, the iPhone will share its cellular internet connection out to other devices over a Wireless network the iPad can use.

I have photos on my iPad that I want to delete. This is my problem. I synced them from my ex-husband's Mac. We are no longer together therefore I don't have access to his computer or iTunes account. Is there any other way to delete them?

Following ultimately helped me : Make sure that you are logged in at the App Store App or iTunes App with your apple ID and password with a US account. Turn your iPad off and on and than you should see the Radio button again. It won't work if you are logged on with a foreign account. If you are not logged in at all, it worked, too.

HT4113 Disabled IPad that will not show up on my computer in Itunes. Can some one give me suggestions?

My ipad keeps telling me it is disabled and to connect to itunes. I have powered my ipad off connected it to the computer holding down the home button. I get the display on my ipad but my ipad does not show up on itunes. I have also tried the locate my ipad and erased everything, but that needs the internet to wipe everything out, so I am still getting the display disabled connect to Itunes. ‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Im in india and im using my iphone with tata docomo. I try everything to activate my phone no as facetime but activation was unsuccessful. Plz confirm how to activate this. Other service provider is activating it instantly. I talked to my carrier they said they have no restriction for facetime.

Facetime activation relies on 'silent' SMS messages to Apple's activation servers in the UK. They are not a supported carrier. You'll have to work it out with them or switch to a supported carrier.

how old is the phone? was this the first time you are putting your sim in the iphone? if it is it might be locked to a previous carrier...if not, try to do a restore again and see if it picks up the sim card after. do the restore while the sim card is intact, and then not intact. otherwise, you'll might have to take it to an apple store to get it looked at.
